Love your videos. I travelled to Greenville often for business. I would caution about enticing people from northern states to move to Greenville. You will soon realize the same pain Nashville experiencing. The cost to live in Nashville is now out of reach for the native southerners. I get it that realtors love the impact migrants have on real estate costs but for the locals its a horrible outcome.
The alternative to not moving to a nice part of the country around the Greenville area is to stay in a shitty part of the country with a lousy future. Greenville has only 75,000 people. I live in Coral Springs Florida in Broward county. It has over 130,000 people. The future outlook for where I live is not planned well for human habitation. I'm leaving for the Greenville area soon. You will have to move to a more rural area if if it's not to your liking.
Moved from the NE to Tampa/St Pete in 89 when it was affordable. I love St Pete but it's now priced me out of continuing to live and retire in Florida (Car and home insurance is mostly the issue). I love the Carolina mountains and will be coming up soon to see if it is a place I could move and enjoy. Like the vib of a downtown area and would like to find a place where I could live and ride my Bike into downtown.
Greenville is now too expensive for this retiree who also still works full time. Long Islandification has happened here. When I was here in the late 70s they talked about controlling growth so this “wouldn’t become Atlanta” but it has come to pass anyway. It is a great city but I am ready for a change and moving on.
As a "northerner" that has lived in NC for a while, get ready to slow down. Just listen to the cadence of his speech vs someone from Chicago or NY... so SLOW! i'm just laughing hoping he moves it along and gets to the point!
@@gvlrealestate All Good - it's the South. It's not a bad thing to slow down, especially in retirement, but if you're an life-long Northerner...it's a jolt! you're great!
So true. My sister moved to SC from Maryland and she said it was REALLY slow. However, 2 years in, she loves it. She’s had to travel back to Maryland for work and she can’t imagine living back here.
Retired to Greenville three months ago, couldn’t be happier.

Hubby and I are going to be retiring there coming from the Mitten State of Michigan. We plan to help the economy by supporting local businesses!

Would love to meet when you’re in town and get you set up with my tour guide. Could you shoot me an email? wcsawyerjr@kw.com
Why do you realtors keep telling people to move there, its already over crowded.
It’s like that everywhere.People move to where they can have a more comfortable live. I get what you’re saying though .

I like that he actually takes the time to be accurate and thoughtful with what he is saying.
