This is a great video and I will forever love the HH65A Dolphin (not MH65E because I'm not a fan of the long nose and lawnmower sound). That high pitched whine from the fenestron is music to my ears. Nowadays helicopters and planes are all sounding the same, no creativity.
Not a fan of San Francisco Bay. Home to a scarce population of White Sharks. But other than that, the video was great. 5/5. Question to the USCG Pilots: Is there any preference between the Jayhawk and the Dolphin aircraft?
Sometimes I wonder that as well, but for me I love the HH65A Dolphin with the distinctive whine, short nose and clockwise rotation of the main rotor blades. I'm not a fan of the long nose and 10 blade fenestron, but I'm happy they got a new engine since it was foolish by the US government to have them install an underpowered engine in a high tech helicopter.
Also great video of all the drills while performing a search and rescue. 👍🏿
