The Golden Age of Champion Hurdles

This is a real treat. The post war Cheltenham festivals produced the greatest hurdlers in the history of the sport from Sir Ken to Hatton's Grace through Sea Pigeon, Night Nurse, Monksfield et al, See You Then and finally the great Istabraq. There are some great characters here too from Terry Biddlecombe to Bobby Beasley and the Freds Rimell and Wnter along the way, plus some superb rare pre and post race footage. Presented by Jonathan Powell for Cheltenham Racecourse; as I say it is a rare treat. Enjoy this.

Checking yesterday, Timeform have Constitution Hill 177. 2lbs behind Persian War, 1lb inferior to Comedy of Errors, equal to Lanzarote, 1lb ahead of Bird's Nest, Bula, Faugheen, Golden Cygnet and 2lbs superior to Sea Pigeon. 182 Night Nurse, 180 Istabraq and Monksfield. That's some rating after just 5 runs

Golden cygnet had some rating for a complete novice , had serious potential , doing hand spring s when fell in Scottish champion hurdle against harden champion hurdle horses .
