    The best part about this video is the review of the weld and what went right and what went wrong and why. Thanks for the great info.

    I was surprised at your travel speed. I always try to get it started and ride out. Can't argue with your results! Great work! 👊👊👊

      @@PacificArcTigWelding I actually was pleased to see the travel time. The BIG PROBLEM with most other channels is that they always x2 or x4 or x8 the speed of the welding, and for us noobs who are trying to get a feel for it, it is super misleading and confusing.

    Another great tutorial. All relevant information clearly stated. I was wondering if sometime In the future you could demonstrate a wide weave tapering from 4-5 dabs down to 1? This all ties into your art pieces so well. The sound and camera work just keeps getting better and better.

      Hey Michael! That’s a good idea! I kind of did it with an aluminum exercise I did a month or so ago, you can check it here:)

      But I definitely could do the same exercise with stainless... thanks for the idea!

    Thanks Dusty. When you drop down and go right to left without filler ,is that to preheat the metal?

    “Oxidation” no “z”
    Not trying to be that guy and nitpick, i’ve just heard it in a few of your videos and I figured you might like to know.
    Awesome work by the way.

    As stated before...brand newbie here but I've very curious about what I'd call your "C" weave pattern instead of what I might call an "S" pattern. You responded to a comment below about laying down better after its preheated, BUT...often you comment about the metal being HOT and having to adjust your pedal to accommodate it. Wouldn't "preheating" contribute to the additional heat? I realize this is YOUR method and others can do their own thing....I'm certainly in no position to make any soft of negative comments...just thinking out loud. You piece of your friends artwork was mesmerizing!!!

    • @PacificArcTigWelding
      @PacificArcTigWelding  4 роки тому +1

      Yes Scott you’re right! Although my trick is to add enough filler rod, that it keep the weld a tad cooler. Heat will ‘sit’ the weld down to wed properly to the base, but the filler will help to keep things from barrelling out of control a bit:)
