Michigan native, Levi Meeuwenberg, began his career with a bang by performing in Madonna's Confessions Tour and Jump music video. He went on to initiate a freerunning class in his home town and now helps run the Michigan Parkour Club. He has done stunts for a K-Swiss freerunning commercial and the pilot episode of the TV show Chuck, numerous live performances including the 2007 Taurus World Stunt Awards, and was the last man standing out of 100 contestants on the Japanese game show Ninja Warrior on G4.

This video is great! 😍 still watching it
本物なのにグッド付いてなくて草
Always good to see locals shine.
oh yeah i see the mat now!
I like how the Ninja Warrior announcer says Levi Meeuwenburger...musta been hungry
when you jump off something high and land and do the roll really quick does it actually take the impact away
levi you are my idol
i was watching american ninja warrior and levi fell on the first obstical the quad steps. i was shocked!
i agree
he may be the best there is. cyril rafaelli is also awesome.
see what he says in the end. good training means good knees. you screw them up if you start jumping like him from day one. no substitute for hard training.
Good gymnastics. But whats he running away from???
Levi is one of the greats. it's too bad his body can't take the beating like it use to. If he could put his skills in the body he had 10 years ago he would be a total beast
OMG he works at my school!!!! At a program and he shows us outdoor stuff and park our!
no because he retired from parkour to be a farmer in like 2013 or 2014
Never forget how legendary this video is.
When I first saw this video
I was very impressed to your movement .
It was the reason why I started parkour and free running
Also I decided to applying to SASUKE
because I want to be like you .
I respecting you!
Greeting from Japan.
here is levi's ninja warrior results
sasuke 20: failed shin cliffhanger. third stage (last man standing, first to attempt brand new cliffhanger)

昔サスケで初めて観た時にものすごい衝撃を受けてファンになりました‥‥
2:28 この映像もサスケの紹介VTRで観た記憶が有る‥‥
Levi is truely my favorite Free Runner everything he does is so amazing and is done with such perfection. I want to definitely work harder to just even remotely do some of the things he does. Go on and Win in Ninja Warrior Levi
sasukeに戻ってきて
you are my hero ! ahah
beautifull video! :D
Thanks man! I really enjoyed your new vid too!
I miss seeing him do parkour
hay man
such a sick video man
but on ur wall fronts use your left leg ill say
coz u do u 2 step wall fronts right foot then letf
so if u used ur left on one foots u would be able 2 land a lot easy and would be a lot higher
peace man
i don't know, i have heard some stories of people surviving falls out of aeroplanes, but i wouldn't want to be the one to test how high i could go. height drops are kinda fun but they're not great for your joints.
man that was prettu sick, u try so bawlzy stuff :P
Ohuuu, your the guy who perform with oleg and sebastion on the confusion tour from madona!
Send much love to you man, your a very strong and great athlet!
Oh, Btw. this real is awesom!
professional? there is no professionals in parkour. He may be excellent but how can u determined this when each and every tracuer has a unique style?
Song: (Sped up)
The Sound - Lunatic Calm
Nice choice, Levi :) I know the song really well and when you used it, it made the video so much better!
that jump was not onto normal floor, (not taking anything away from it still because it was ridiculously clean and would still be insanely scary)
Very AWESOME Levi Meeuwenberg
I Like this
Clearly, that is why he had all of those jobs doing advertising deals, television appearances and stunt work.
@huzar237 its a TV show called "CHUCK". Levi made a special participation on the pilot episode.
@acooldude0well that is not the point. each persons style and movement is unmeasurable.
@BlackKnight309 god yes. With a proper roll you extend the impact throughout your entire body instead of just your legs. Studies have shown that a 9 foot drop has the same impact as a jumping jack as long as proper form is used. I've been freerunning for about a year now and have never hurt myself from a high fall (i think the heighest i have jumped off of is around 12 feet). It doesn't feel like nothing but it hurts a hell of a lot less with the roll.
I think you miss unerstood what I was saying or I didn't make it clear I think this is the koolest Sh*** ever! It was a jab at the kids that sit around and don't excercise! I will try to be more detail in my posts instead of expecting people to read my mind. I love watching your videos! I wish more kids were like U" Really! Yes I sit at home part of the day but I'm 60! I used to be like you and now my knees and back r shot from such things...BUT I wouldn't change that life for anything
WOW you are absoutely amazing!!!!!!! Ive watched so many free runners and you are without a doubt the best ive ever seen!!! Im trying to start free running now, i first learned about from my friend when he showed me i was amazed and then i saw you and dude... omg you are crazy!!! i really want to learn how to free run could you give me some tips PLEASE!!!
It's been a long dream of mine to get into parkour/freerunning, but what good is getting into it if none of your friends near you really want to do it. We also don't have a real gym to learn in the town where we live. Can anyone give some recommendations on what to do to pursue it a little more? I still want to get into it, it's just, I don't know where to start.
when i was ur age i wanted to be like levi. what i did was tried gymnastics and and joined a sport to keep me going. just dont give up cuz i learned to do a lot of flips n stuff, now im 18 and havent done it in awhile. so i suggest you get an actually teacher who can tell u how to do the basics n stuff
good luck.
by the way i will upload a freerunning lesson for u, next week. just look at my chanel ok?
ps be careful
I love watching Freerunning. I was born in 91, and when I was a teen we ran and did a tun of the simpler stuff, tucks, rodeos, clown flips, wall flips, climbs, flipflops/handsprings to fulls, arabians, stepouts, gaynors etc, but not any of the nasty insane things you see now. And all of our knees are shot. Im curious to see how these guys knees feel when they are 40. Im hoping not as bad as ours. Hopefully modern footwear helps!
Well, I saw some really impressive flips, and some really impressive parkour,
but I would've enjoyed seeing the combination of the two of them more. Y'know, a nice parkour flow with a flip or 2 innit. I know you're good enough to make some beautiful freerun combinations, but what I've seen was flips and parkour, seperated, which is a shame.
Not trying to diss you here, just trying to give some advice. :)
i've been training for a year now, mostly alone. i find that most people who come train with me quit in a few days. this however shouldn't stop you from training by yourself. i feel you develop a better understanding and focus more when on your own. Also, I have never been to a parkour gym but believe me, although it may be harder going outside straightaway, the efforts bring in reward. go out and train safe!!
amazing........and btw im noobsauce10 ;) im gunna go freerunnin if i find a good spot just not backflips cuz im still working on those plus i can barely make my head go down...... email me back....u think you could tell me how to do a backflip? if so thanks, if not, thanks anyways....ur sweet! go beat ninja warrior!!!!climb to the top of mount midoriyama and show those japanese people who's boss!
this was my 1st freerunning video i ever saw and that was about a year ago. I look at this video now and still am like WTH and question gravity and physics and the reality around me. levi meeuwenberg indeed defies the laws of gravity, physics, and how far the human body can really go
PIMP! WALLFLIPP DOUBLE! IVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE DO THAT I WAS EVEN THINKIN ONE DAY THAT IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF I WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO DO IT AND EED TO TRY AND MASTER IT SOMEDAY haha o well the better man beat me to it loved your video bro. sry for screamin at you i forgot to take off caps lol!
join cheerleading, gymnastics or acrobatics classes. i know it might sound gay but most of the flips and tricks can be learned from these classes and you'll have a skilled instructor there to help you. also look for a ployometric workout regiment to help you build explosive muscle power to help with your climbs.good luck be safe and have fun
Ridiculous. Stop getting better, I need to catch up. Tell me next time you're in Chicago, I need to see some of this in person. ...Like that monkey gainer, and kong to handstand. And you know you want to do a wall double back off the nacho.
i love the fact that parkour isnt for everybody. u could train all your life and never get this good. its proof that all men are NOT created equal. some of us are in fact super-human. parkour separates gods from mere men. its the most dangerous sport to date. i love it!
@thisisazn No he falied the second one when he was doing the ladder jump. He slipped up on the last jump and went down. Trust me I know. I'm totally crazy over Levi. # 35 Ninja Warrior he made it to the third round but # 36 (The most recent) He lost in the second round.
Just saw Levi on American Ninja...nothing short of awe describes how effortless he made it look. Pity to see postings with criticism...I would like to see them make half, or even a quarter of an attempt...Put your money where your mouth is and apply for Ninja Warrior.
@wadesfan3 depending where you live, Iam not honestly sure, but search on google to see if there are any Parkour places in your state. they will have classes and stuff for you to learn, gyms, all the good stuff.
lol, I started flipping like a month ago, i can only do frontflips... just go tho a beach near you and follow a good front flip tutorial's intruction, its not that difficult and it doesnt hurt a bit to learn :P
good trainings!
haha nice bro!!! That was a sick video. Hope to see you again soon.
-Ryan
@arek495 Well that could work, but still in my opinion Parkour doesn't need any competitive side as it shouldn't have. I do know that flips aren't part of parkour, but many think like that as they're distracted by the many silly videos on UA-cam.
@arek495 I'm not hating d: Just stating that there are others who can do the same and.. IN what way does Parkour even have anything to compete? Who does more flips in the air or looks more cooler in the way he flies? Seriously there is nothing to compete on.
Man i met this guy and got the chance to train with him when he was here in colorado a few days back. great guy, very nice, very humble. sucks i didnt get an autograph or picture with the man but training with him was good enough..
this is pretty sick man. but a ton of those clips were from your previous showreels. come on man. and what was up with that disclaimer!! this is youtube! still really cool stuff though. where are you based? you train with tyson cecka and stuff right?
Double wall flip?! Thats just all i can remember im in such awe, but much more should be pointed out then just that move.
Quick Question. While your sleeping do you wake up on the cieling because gravity just doesnt affect you?
i would suggest starting with the conditioning drills - cat balance, quadrupedals, general body weight exercises. besides, there are a number of clips on youtube dedicated to teaching different movement. you can learn from there.
@Astellerful you obviously know nothing of parkour whatsoever. So I'd suggest you watch what you say. Watching videos online does NOT make you an expert. Levi is considered one of the best in America.
I really wish Levi and Damien would compete. They're the top 2 IMO but people like Blue and Showtime are more famous (no disrespect to them, I just think Levi and Damien dont get their dues)
For every one asking were they can learn parkour we are still the first generation of traceurs its up to us to teach our selves and the next gen. Just remember to take things slow and don't be stupid. Train hard
Levi, saw you on Ninja Warrior, you kicked ass! Wanting to become a stunt person myself, and will say, you and others who do what you do certainly post the bar high. Hope I can jump that far, so to speak. ;-) Thanks!
@Moofantor It does. you have no idea. I went to Highschool with him haha
Haha, awesome stuff, and who would have thought it was Frodo all along?
なつかしー
@BlackKnight309 yep, if you do it right it takes the impact off your legs (well a large amount of it) and disperses it through your back. look up: Fight Science Parkour and it explains it a little bit
jeez u are AMAZING. Thought ur stuff could only be seen as special effects on spiderman. its AMAZING that a human could do such. ive seen some freerunning but nothing so OFF WORLD. keep it up man
great video, nice music, and I think Levi is really talented. I'd like a lot to start free running, but were i live it's nearly impossible to find a place to train. Anyway...i don't give up!!!
heyyy my friend levi... i'm your bald friend from costa rica... very good video... with some clips from here... jaja you're my idol... you has inspired me... take care... cheers from Team Pakour CR...
i love this guy! his a great freerunner! sound liek a really nice guy. and that bit at the end i liked. shows hes responsible and cares about the next generation of freerunner
You don't need strength, or agility to become a free runner (well, actually you do) you need courage. And allot of it. Cause you know if you mess it upa, it's gonna hurt. Allot.
And there are hundreds of people who can do the same that he can.. Just keep searching on youtube. This one isn't SO special even though he can do lots of "cool" looking stuff.
@DAyomandude I know What a roll is,I'm s traceur.
But unless you arethe one doing the jump,,you really can't know whether or not the landing was successful.
Thats why I asked Levi, not you.
that was awesome, def. top notch.
i know thats lame but, please watch our trailer Berlin als beute, ( the trailer) we are a freerunning crew from germany, I really hope youll like it.
Best parkour & freerunning video ever , Thumbs up who thinks that levi meeuwenberg is the best freerunner!! ^^ Keep on levi and good luck in ninja warrior!! :)
start learning the basic flips and such at home with mats. then move to playgrounds to start with the basic jumps and leaps and such. I hope that helped =]
if he had a white robe set on i wouldnt be able to tell the difference between him and Ezio auditore di firenze off of assassins creed 2 and AC:B thumbs up if you agree
When did you start free running? btw i herd some guys at the gymnastics factory (place i go to) saying that you used to go there, in illinois. do you know a steven? aka grip?
How many injurys are there in parkour and free running?
What a good age to start learning stuff?
If anyone at all could answer this question that would be awesome?
@urbanprogression i totally agree! parkour is a street art and to make it a profession, or to institutionalize would take so much away from it! imho
I was disappointed to not see you in ANW Season 3. Just wondering if your injury from that last tournament keep you out or did you already get an invite to Japan?
Maybe at some things, but not all. Damien Walters is gymnastics first and parkour second. Show me a video of Damien doing a huge jump like at 0:33 without padding.
As someone who first saw you on AmericanNcha then in columbus then in another sasuke where you tore up the 1st stage... your athleticism is still jaw dropping.
HOOOOLY CRAPP!!!
@reklassabandn do you know how to get g4?or can you tell me somewhere in the web,a link maybe to find the episodes.im a huge fan but i dont have g4
playing tag and all he does is find a 15 foot wall and run and somehow get on top and sits there for 2 hours after the other guy tries to get up there
@Rizmaestro the kong to handstand move isnt actualy that hard but the distance he does/the fact its on two bars!!!!! makes it an epic move, major powerrrr
i love how you see these guys do nothing but backflips and then this guy jumping from building to building and doing stuff that IS really dangerous.....
It's really not about competition or who's better....
That being said, Damien and Levi are both extremely talented freerunners by their own right.
absolutely brilliant. some of those moves just don't even make sense, and at 2:51 thats just unreal, the balance and strength might as well be superhuman.
The Cops Aint Got Shit On This Dude. If The Cops Were in a foot Chase Once They Saw What He Could Do They Would Just Give Up Instantly Nuf' Said
From my town, Traverse city, Michigan. Good to know that awesome people can come from a smaller place like that. Inspiring to say the least.
@flyme101
Yeah, agree...
On the other hands, you would be surprised to find yourself doing the 'Taxi stunt' in reverse if you don't pay. ;)
@thatDCboy2 NO!!!! HELL NO!!!! if u really want to pursue this kind of thing then it shouldn't matter how old u r. just do it.
best of luck.
what type of shoes is he wearing to jump from does hights? what type?. and would it still b possible with flat showes with no shock resistence?
Levi is basically an American hero. He pretty much denounced the world stereotype that Americans are all overweight and have no athletic aptitude.
hmm im not sure.. drum & bass
(maybe jungle but i dnt think so)
Damn, I wish I was this good already. Anybody near me wanna train I'd totally be up for it. But I haven't met anybody quite yet.
