    Levi is one of the greats. it's too bad his body can't take the beating like it use to. If he could put his skills in the body he had 10 years ago he would be a total beast

    @BlackKnight309 god yes. With a proper roll you extend the impact throughout your entire body instead of just your legs. Studies have shown that a 9 foot drop has the same impact as a jumping jack as long as proper form is used. I've been freerunning for about a year now and have never hurt myself from a high fall (i think the heighest i have jumped off of is around 12 feet). It doesn't feel like nothing but it hurts a hell of a lot less with the roll.

    It's been a long dream of mine to get into parkour/freerunning, but what good is getting into it if none of your friends near you really want to do it. We also don't have a real gym to learn in the town where we live. Can anyone give some recommendations on what to do to pursue it a little more? I still want to get into it, it's just, I don't know where to start.

    I love watching Freerunning. I was born in 91, and when I was a teen we ran and did a tun of the simpler stuff, tucks, rodeos, clown flips, wall flips, climbs, flipflops/handsprings to fulls, arabians, stepouts, gaynors etc, but not any of the nasty insane things you see now. And all of our knees are shot. Im curious to see how these guys knees feel when they are 40. Im hoping not as bad as ours. Hopefully modern footwear helps!

  • @Gardow
    @Gardow 14 років тому

    Well, I saw some really impressive flips, and some really impressive parkour,
    but I would've enjoyed seeing the combination of the two of them more. Y'know, a nice parkour flow with a flip or 2 innit. I know you're good enough to make some beautiful freerun combinations, but what I've seen was flips and parkour, seperated, which is a shame.
    Not trying to diss you here, just trying to give some advice. :)

    i've been training for a year now, mostly alone. i find that most people who come train with me quit in a few days. this however shouldn't stop you from training by yourself. i feel you develop a better understanding and focus more when on your own. Also, I have never been to a parkour gym but believe me, although it may be harder going outside straightaway, the efforts bring in reward. go out and train safe!!

    join cheerleading, gymnastics or acrobatics classes. i know it might sound gay but most of the flips and tricks can be learned from these classes and you'll have a skilled instructor there to help you. also look for a ployometric workout regiment to help you build explosive muscle power to help with your climbs.good luck be safe and have fun

    i love the fact that parkour isnt for everybody. u could train all your life and never get this good. its proof that all men are NOT created equal. some of us are in fact super-human. parkour separates gods from mere men. its the most dangerous sport to date. i love it!

    @arek495 Well that could work, but still in my opinion Parkour doesn't need any competitive side as it shouldn't have. I do know that flips aren't part of parkour, but many think like that as they're distracted by the many silly videos on UA-cam.

  • @powexor
    @powexor 13 років тому

    @arek495 I'm not hating d: Just stating that there are others who can do the same and.. IN what way does Parkour even have anything to compete? Who does more flips in the air or looks more cooler in the way he flies? Seriously there is nothing to compete on.

  • @lagenius22
