PPF was invented 50 60 years ago for military application. google it. these companies have taken many years to improve the ppf to be good enough for cars paint. a lot of r&d goes into making sure that the film doesnt turn yellow or crack unlike chinese counterfeits which are way cheaper. i got my cars hood and both bumpers ppfed a couple of years ago and it still looks like new. yes it was a little expensive but i dont mind because i have massive ocd about scratches on my car. and yes.. ill have to agree with you on the tailor point. haha. cheers
