It’s a thing of beauty 😍I’m glad you have enjoyed the process too. As you know I’ve been really enjoying my reading the last couple of years and creating a journal. But like you it can be so overwhelming keeping all the spreads…. Takes time away from reading lol Been following you from prior to the new UTube identity ( with the make up segments) and have been thoroughly entertained by you both. Thank you so much ladies… bring on 2025.
Great video. Thank you for all of your videos this year - I’ve really enjoyed following you both and listening to your bookish comments and opinions! Thanks also for the freebies. Looking forward to 2025! 📚❤
The journal is really nice, the layout is cute and simple! I tried to access the printables but it isn’t working through Google or chrome. Wondering if there is another link available? The bookshelf is great!
@@ErinandElainaShe writes three genres predominately. Fantasy, Romantasy and Horror. I have read nearly all the books in the first two sets. I started with Nettle and Bone, which is very much a fairy tale, and adored it. But I also love A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking, which is middle-grade(ish), and the Clocktaur War duology. Swordheart and The Saint of Steel books are romantasy and, while I liked them alright, they weren't as good... to me. They definitely fit the genre requirements, it's not that they're bad, they're just... romantasy. They do, however, seem to be set in the same fantasy world as the others so if you're a flavor reader, you can transition to them easily. I can't read horror anymore for personal reasons, so I can't tell you about those but I have friends who have read them and loved them. Very Southern flavored, I'm told.
Was coming here to say this! I started with the Saints of Steel series which I LOVED. Nettle and Bone was also superb and while I don't think her other books quite live up to those they're all great cozy and rather short reads. I describe her books as high stakes but low tension 😅
Sarah Addison Allen is from Ashville, N.C. and writes wonderful magical realism! Garden Spells, First Frost, and Other Birds are my favorites.
Perfect thank you!
Loved this flip through! This is my first year journaling and thinking of layouts and themes is the hardest for me so far.
Yes!! We'll be posting a complete 'how to start a reading journal' video for Elaina's 2025 journal in a week or so, hopefully it helps with ideas!!

I love that you said, "Double Bingo! What's my prize? Books, I guess!"
Methinks absolutely books!!!
Margaret Maron is good mystery-type, but modern, N Carolina author with stories set in NC and a strong female protagonist.
Perfect!
