I met Sting at a 7-11 in Richmond VA as a 10yr old kid. He was coming back from that injury in Corpus Christi and it was him and the Steiner Bros. Sting was the only one that spoke to me. He had no idea what that meant to me because he already was my favorite wrestler. I'm 44 and he's still my #1. Thank you Sting
FACTS.
You only had %33 and a third chance for one of the Steiner Brothers to talk to you and that's not before you put Samoa Joe in the mix.
funny story i rick stiner were i worked cool dude but yea i am miss sting whst an amzing guy
met
Funny that u said that . Back in 2008 I was 20 dating a milf . She was 43 at time . She had told me back in the early 90s wcw came to scope in Norfolk and she was working at hotel at the time across street. She said she saw lex and sting getting rooms. She said lex was very nasty but sting was very nice. Sting must genuinely be a nice dude 😊. He signed autographs for her and her co worker.
Best package AEW has ever made almost in tears watching this

The fact that Sting is even still alive when so many from his era are not and to still be wrestling when so many from his era are physically crippled is nothing short of amazing. Thank you Sting.
Sting cut all the drugs and drinking in the 90s which definitely helps with longevity :)

Sting is a classy dude. Never whine, never complain, never demand.
He did his job professionally and earned everyone’s respect.
And he had PLENTY he could of complained about, and none of us would of faulted him for it
Only wish we got that Crow Sting vs Deadman Undertaker dream match, but oh well.
Thank you, Sting from a fan as a kid to a man in England. The Icon indeed.
Greetings from Germany. I feel you!👍🖤
Well said

I love how they cut from Justin Roberts announcing to Tony Schiavone's iconic STIIIING.
They should do that at the event.

Been watching him wrestle since 1994! Thank you Sting!

This f-ing song. Never heard it before but with the voice overs… it’s perfection. The emotion it conveys is just.. perfect 🦂
This is not an end of an Icon, This is a birth of a Legend
Thank you, Sting
It's more like, this is not the end of a Legend but the birth of having him forever as stinggggggg!!!!!!!
The last legend of my childhood is now retiring. Thank you, Sting!
Thank you Sting.
For every single long hour going up and down the road, for every single bump, break and fall. For every zipline, for every death lock and death drop, for every single moment of your life that you dedicated to telling us a story inside that ring. The wild world of professional wrestling has many heroes but there's only one true super hero, and that's you.
Wish you all the best in life going foward as you tell the final story in the ring.
Thank you Sting, for everything.
Glad AEW posted this!
This is one of the best tributes I’ve seen in wrestling history and this will be a special moment for Sting 🦂
FACTS dude.
I just want all the companies to put everything aside and for all the people that want to be there in attendance for Sting be allowed or feel like they can be there, be there. To have guys like Booker, Nash, Angle, AJ and anyone else there to send him off would be so touching and magical. What a run, through generations this man has never had anything bad said about him. Seeing him go on his own two feet, body and mind intact, so impressive.
Kevin Nash revealed the rumors of him not being allowed to attend stings final match weren’t true. He said he chose not to attend out of loyalty for his friend Triple H
One of the main reasons I wanted to watch WCW in the 90's was because of Sting.
When I was a kid I thought Surfer, Crow and Wolfpack Sting were so cool too me growing up!
I'm glad he got out on his own terms.
Thank you Sting for everything!
The Crow Sting the last time he was worth watching!
Thank you sting for making me a fan of aew, you will always be a legend, the icon and the stinger himself, thank you for the awesome moments and matches with you and Darby. Thank you sting you will forever be the icon
FACTS.
Been a Sting Fan since 1988 . Thanks for the memories. God bless you and your family.
Sting vs Flair Clash of Champions 1 was the first wrestling match I ever watched. Sting's been my favorite for all these years and I'm happy to have finally seen him live this year in Phoenix. What a show and what a true legend in the industry. Thank you, Sting!
Being 39 pretty much grew up with Sting remembering how my mom used to sneak me into the suite of the hotel she worked at so I could watch nitro. And idol and later and life learn and hearing of Steve Borden and his relationship of God. Thank you Sting so glade you got to go out on your terms. The last couple years your achievements and insane dives truly are a real life super hero to so many.
The man, The myth, The icon, Thank you sting for 36 years.

The only live show I ever went to. I was able to see a childhood hero. I'm 40 and I got to see you in WCW. I now have 4 kids and 3 of them cried that you were retiring 8,9 and 10 years old. Thank you Sting!!!!!!!!
Thank you for everything Sting! I’m 36, you were my favorite growing up. I was always quiet as a kid and when I saw you on WCW NWO I felt like there was someone out there like me. I grew up and stopped watching wrestling, but decided to see what’s been going on and check it out again a few years ago. When I saw that you were STILL wrestling, I was amazed. And now I’m so happy that I get to see you say goodbye and I’m so happy for you.
Super nice to see a Manchester Orchestra was featured here. Still remember that AJPW tribute video (with the song Virgin) a few years back, same nostalgic energy. Thank you Sting!
Sting, you helped get me through some tough years, when I was in middle school and high school. I don't think I would've made it without you, inspiring me to keep going. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.
The last icon of the great WCW legends, him and Kevin nash were the reason why i became a fan of professional wrestling. Im glad and lucky that i was able to watch his journey from the beginning to the end. Thank you for the great career
Goosebumps for the icon , we're all still little stingers inside no matter how old we get .
This man is timeless , hes a true light in a sometimes dark world.
I salute you stinger youve entertainmented me from 1990 up until the very end , i can honestly say ive followed you since that time and you've always made me feel like a little boy again watching his hero take on the world no matter the odds.
Be it the nature boy and the horseman , the nWo and Hollywood hogan or father time and our maker nothing will change how much you've meant to many.
Ita showtime.
The only thing for sure about Sting... IS HIS LEGACY LIVES FOREVER!!!
THANK YOU, ICON!!!
He is the embodiment of what it means to be a Professional, a star, and a working man!!!!!!
Thank you sting for all the years. I been one of your biggest fans since 88,89 surfer sting was the coolest thing wrestling ever seen WWF had my guy Macho man and the big draw Hulk. You were the real deal tho I seen it back then. Congratulations on the best wrestling career ever no one can match your passion and dedication/hard work!!!!!!

I can remember back in the 90's when Sting was an awesome professional wrestler. I wish I can relive those days again, but thank you Sting for all you have done in the wrestling business. It will never be another one like you,, you are truly one of a kind God bless you and the rest of your journey. I wish you would come back as an announcer. May your father RIP.
Been watching Sting since I was a toddler. I’m 35 now. Me, my younger brother, and my dad would watch WCW and Sting was a superhero to me and my brother. We used to put the scorpion death lock on each other 😂 got to see him live a few times, and we were going to make sure we got to see his last match live no matter where it was. We were so excited when we found out it was in Greensboro, because we’ve lived here our entire lives. I’m glad he got to go on this last run with Darby, it’s been fantastic. Goodbye, Sting, and thank you for being a hero to two kids in NC.
Damn, this made me cry.
What an amazing tribute to a legend and one of the greatest of all time. Thanks for all the memories Sting.
Thank you Sting. You're a great inside and outside the ring. You left your mark on this world, us fans, and on this great sport. I hope you enjoy your retirement, but man, I'm going to miss you.
Thank you man, you're the reason I've become a wrestling fan since my childhood.
Words aren't enough to express my feelings on your farewell.

Thank you Sting! This was such a well made video! I wish you the best of luck tomorrow and enjoy retirement! You deserve it! You genuinely seem like one of the nicest guys.
The tears come every time I watch this, non wrestling fans can't comprehend and I get it, but this man is a hero to millions and he changed lives, THANK YOU STING!
This song is deeply philosophical, an exodus of sorts, in how we journey through our lives. I have been working on healing, and this song has been on my playlists since December of last year. I have cried, laughed and prayed my way to a place of greater peace, but I know I have a long way to go, and it is comforting to know that there is music like this out there to act as a soundtrack, a reminder of how far I have come. Thank you, Manchester Orchestra for writing this song. You have made my journey so much better.
Thanks for your wrestling career Sting! I have loved watching you in any wrestling show that you were on! I loved how you painted your face all the time with different colors! Enjoy your life with your family now!❤
Thank you sting for making my childhood awsome watching you do what you do best we'll miss you

thanks sting from a fan from Italy. thanks to you I discovered wrestling when I was a kid and watched WCW with my cousins. today is a sad day 😢, we love you sting❤❤❤
I wish my dad was here to see this Sting was our favorite other than Undertaker. I'll be 29 in July, my dad passed away from esophageal cancer February 20th 2023. He would've been 60 if he made it to September last year. I just know he would have loved this.
The Icon has been a part of my life for as long as I have been alive. Really is going to be emotional at Revolution! Thank you Sting!
And a hell of a career. Thank you Sting. And more importantly, thank you AEW for celebrating this legend before we ever lose him 🥲
One of the best video tributes in wrestling history. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you Sting, thank you AEW. A retirement like this would have never been possible in any other promotion.
My favorite wrestler of all time. Been a sting fan since 1995. Thank you Sting for the great memories. A true icon. Love from Lebanon 🇱🇧
I started watching Sting Wrestle when I was about 5 or 6 and watched him whatever wrestling company he was at absolute legend will miss him being in the wrestling ring.👏
I have watched Sting more nearly his entire career. I was born in 86 and he debuted in 88. This man is a true legend at what he does. I watched him go from Surfer Sting to the Crow Sting and beyond. I am 37 now and looking at this I indeed do now understand what he meant by time catches us all. Thank you Sting for making my childhood what it was. I will be watching tomorrow night. Wow, Paul whites words are simple yet say everything.
“It’s a proper send off, recognition of a job well done”.

You made THE difference Sting... YOU made THE difference. I'm not in a good place these days but I will continue to seek the inspiration, the motivation you give. Love you Man! Blessings and respect... ALWAYS!
Been a fan since the early 80s. Sting will always be one of my favorites. Thank you aew and thank you sting for this last run.

Thank you Sting for all the memories, thank you AEW for the proper send-off and farewell. Always will be No1 in my book the reason I still watch today. Have fun and enjoy this last opportunity to entertain me and so many others in the ring one last time.....
Ice Man King Parsons getting jumped by the Freebirds to Darby Allin and the Young Bucs what unforgettable memories in between!
I had a bit of a realisation as to why it hit home so hard that Sting is retiring. Not just because I grew up as a Little Stinger watching him on Saturday mornings with my bowl of cereal after watching cartoons and then seeing him as a teenager reinvent himself in the 90’s wrestling boom.
Sadly, too often in this business, many of the people we call legends, dont make it out of their 30’s, 40's and 50's.
To see one of the best leave with his dignity, and with such universal LOVE, is genuinely heartwarming. He got the happy ending so many of his contemporaries didn’t get. And although its bittersweet that we wont see him in the ring again, it feels so good to know that he gets to ride off into the sunset, having changed pro wrestling for the better.
Sting aka Steve Borden retired today on March 3rd, 2024. But for us Little Stingers, it will always be Showtime.
We've been lucky to have this final chapter of Sting's career. Some time ago we thought he was done, not allowed to go out on his terms. Ending on a sour note. It's been absolutely awesome to see him return. Return to form as that rebel icon of pro wrestling. The face of "the other guys, the other show". And getting to see him give his absolute all his everything. This man was going off like a mad man to entertain us, to leave on that high note. He definitely deserves this.
Thank u Sting for the best childhood and still my favorite wrestler of all time I was there at his last match teared up bad seeing my hero go out this is how u treat a icon
Thank you Raleigh, NC for being apart of history with the stinger 🦂👑🖤
My 44th birthday is in 2 weeks, and for as long as I can remember, I've been a pro wrestling fan. The larger than life persona's was something that, as a kid, I was drawn to and loved, and there weren't many bigger than the Stinger! I loved landing the stinger splash on my younger brother on my parents' new couch, knowing as soon as I did, my mom was gonna yell at us, but I never cared. Your bright colors, face paint, and bleach blonde hair drew me in the very second I saw you. You were the epitome of my childhood wresting dream, along with the Macho Man. I loved going to my local video store, hoping the newest wresting tapes were available. What a time that was! All these years later, I still get those childhood throwback feelings whenever you're on screen. I thank you for that because as we get older, it becomes more and more difficult to be in touch with those amazing childhood memories. As I watched this phenomenal video package, I felt compelled to write this for all the amazing years and memories you've given us fans! Thank you, Sting! Hope the rest of your life will be filled with all the joy you've given to all your fans throughout all these years!!
Unfortunately for me I was born in 2003 so I didn’t get to see a majority of Stings legendary career but I’m very grateful that I got to see the end of it. Despite not knowing much about him aside from what I’ve heard and clips from wcw I was so excited to see him show up at survivor series in 2014. Though that run wasn’t the best his run in AEW has been amazing and I’m honored to be able to say I got to witness Stings last match in New York in person. Sting, thank you for being an exemplary pro wrestler but more importantly an exemplary man. Wishing you the absolute best in your post wrestling life!!
*Great career and a perfect send off well deserved for the icon Sting!*
Wow, goosebumps. Beautiful tribute. Thank you, Sting.
THANK YOU AEW for letting sting go out on his own terms and treating him like the legend he is by far my favorite run of stings career Thank you to the legend thank you to the icon thank you Sting
So glad I got to see a random sting pop in Colorado. Definitely one of the greatest moments I've shared with my wife as he was her favorite wrestler growing up too. Greatest of all time hands down in my book
Thank you so much sting for the memories over the years love you man.
It's bittersweet..
I'm glad to see Sting calling it on his own terms, not because of an injury or some other B.S.
It's been phenomenal watching Sting my whole life..
Now I get to see him ride off into the sunset.
Thank you Sting.
Thank you Steve..
You've meant more than I can express in words..

Glad I'm not the only one tearing up over this. First time I saw Sting I was 14, now I'm 41

I'm almost 30 years old and I've been watching Sting since I was 3. I'll be honest, I didn't expect him to wrestle this long, but we're all incredibly privileged that he did. Love Sting and I'm happy he gets to go out on his terms.
Thanks for all the awesome memories Sting. It was a hell of a ride. Be blessed.
