I never thought much if this game but watching this video I realized how much character the devs put into the enemy animations, like how the bandits will do dumb poses while shooting a rifle, or the sword guys will occasionally take out a pistol and do sick pirouettes. They all feel different, in contrast to RDR2 where, while incredibly polished, there is really only one enemy type (well, that's not true, animals are a different enemy type, but one human enemy type that can use different weapons with a universal animation system).

On MGS4 at act 2 at the power station there's no NPC battles on MGS5 sadly
