Why is Sam so under-rated! If it wasn't for Sam, Frodo wouldn't have destroyed the ring, nor would still be alive! Frodo doesn't even thank Sam. The only thing Frodo says to him is, "Oh Sam..." Literally!!! Sam should have got more credit! Just my opinion! Great trilogy though!!

@@ikoandreas5085 I said at the bottom of my comment it was my opinion, I'm not disagreeing with you, Frodo is a great character but Sam should have got more credit. That's all I'm saying
+Ryan Brown The Riddles in the Dark scene was great! It is the best scene out of the whole Hobbit trilogy in my opinion, that scene deserves to be on the list. It was probably one of the few scenes that was accurate to the book.
+Niklas K. Do you mean the rohirim charge helmsdeep or the men of Rohan charge into the pelenor fieldscout because although there were rohirim at the battle of Minas tirith amongst the men of Rohan it was king theoden's men of Rohan that charged
+DoctaDaKing The riddles scene is spectacular. I think that deserves to be on the list because if you read the book like I did when I was younger you'd realise how incredibly well done that scene was
The Lighting of the Beacons? Gandalf and Pip ascend Minas Tirith? The skirmish of Amon Hen? The Battle of Pelennor Fields? Gandalf vs. Saruman? All these are 1000 times better than anything in the Hobbit movies.
I literally tried to make a top 30 here in the comment section. I think I fucked up xP But dude... Riddles In The Dark and Bilbo And Smaug are pretty damn great scenes. Also, that "Good Morning" scene was good too! And these trolls. The Hobbit is not bad. It's just not Lord of the Rings. But on the other hand. Battle Of The Five Armies is shit. But the last 20 seconds and the ending credits were great! "Last Goodbye" is one of the best songs of these movies!
+Hidious Vanity Charge of the Rohirrim? Decapitation of the Mouth of Sauron? The elves and the dwarves team up at the start of the Battle of Five Armies?
Gollum and Sméagol seems to me to be the pinnacle of cinematic achievement. It has depth, soul, conflict and anguish. It draws us in to the character brilliantly. It adds tension. And it’s all done by a perfect combination of one-off genius acting and ground-breaking technical ability. It’s a wonderful scene by any measure
You just knew the the " You shall not pass" scene would be number 1. But I thought the speech made by Sam (There is goodness in this world and its worth fighting for) should be on this list. It was better the any of the hobbits scenes.
I think there should be two separate lists, where in the other there's comedic or awesome scenes, and all the emotional scenes go to the other. In the awesome list "You shall not pass" would be #1, in my opinion, and in the emotional list Sam's speech would be #1
1) Ride of the Rhoherim (Return of the King) 2) Same & Frodo climbing Mount Doom (Return of the King) 3) Aragon's Speech/Battle at the Black Gate (Return of the King) 4) Sam's Speech (Two Towers) 5) Battle of Pelanor Fields (Return of the King) 6) Battle of Helms Deep (The Two Towers) 7) Broomier's Death (Fellowship of the Ring) 8) YOU SHALL NOT PASS! (Fellowship of the Ring) 9) Pippin's song (Return of the King) 10) Bilbo & Smaug (Desolation of Smaug) Honourable Mentions… The breaking of the fellowship, The Battle of the Five Armies, Barrel Chase, Riddles in the Dark, Battle of Dagorlad, Lothlorian, Wagge Battle, Gollum vs Smeagol, Sauroman's death, Battle of Osgiliaith, Arwen/Nazgul chase, For all you Hobbit fans, I really liked the Hobbit movies but IMO they don't have any moments that surpass the 9 other moments in the LOTR trilogy.
Rampant mispronunciations aside, I always put the entire climax at the top, from the moment where Sam carries Frodo to when he wakes up in Ithilien, it's the ultimate shit-hits-the-fan sequence. Besides that, where the flying fuck was the charge of the Rohirrim at Minas Tirith?
+UrukHai659 I predicted Helms deep somewhere in the middle of the pack and Minas Tirith as one of the top 4. Too many great moments I suppose (look at the size of honorable mentions, and still missed a lot). The entire fking movie could be an honorable mention because every scene is quotable and memorable, which is why it's such a great trilogy. The Hobbit is good, but does not compare to LOTR in any way.
I agree. Ride of the Rohirrim at Minas Tirith is the best in my books. Maybe if Lord of the Ribgs and The Hobbit had their own separate lists, we could have seen better moments.
+UrukHai659 They missed out the charge at Minas Tirith in a list of greatest movie war speeches once, and replaced it with the speech Aragorn did when they reached Gondor. I think they just have something against the first scene. :P
+Pieter Dennison To be fair it was a kids book but people were expecting tone of lotr and therefore the tone of the hobbit was always going to be off as he tried to skew it for the fans but ended up ruining it (it should never have been a trilogy as well) I kind of agree now the more I think about it but he made lotr as good as it is
How is Sam carrying Frodo only an honorable mention? more importantly, how did Sam's incredible speech from the Two Towers NOT make it into the countdown??
Because there are too many greatest moment in the LOTR to make a Top 10 list. But they actually did an alright list for once instead of shitty clickbait like they usually do.
As much as I like the hobbit as a book and appreciated the effort put in to make it in to a movie I honestly do not believe that the best moments of the 3 hobbit movies cant even be put in the same top 10 as the LOTR trilogy.
+GooglePlusBlows There was no effort put into the Hobbit trilogy. Peter Jackson was old and tired and never wanted to do it in the first place, let alone turn it into a bloated, money grubbing 3 movie disaster.
+Intranetusa Oh there was plenty effort put into it. Whether or not you liked it, and if it is seen as "good" by the "mass", is it is a matter in itself. What annoys me to all hell are people like you who pull facts out of your asses to excuse your own tastes. Get over it. Peter Jackson wasn't "old" or "tired". At least that wasn't the reason why the movies were disappointing to you. They were disappointing to you because they were.
+GooglePlusBlows Very true. I enjoyed the Hobbit trilogy, but it was bloated with unnecessary extra silliness. The LOTR trilogy was a masterpiece that no trilogy (yes, including the original Star Wars) can't even come close to touch.
1:19 I remember watching this for the first time. as soon as Frodo said "The ring is mine." and put the ring on, my sister and I were screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" because we had hope that he wouldn't give in to the ring. good times.
+Kyle Gerhart I'll admit, I haven't watched the Hobbit movies, but I thought Smaug was pronounced like "Smog", not "Smay-augh", or "Smowg". I'm pretty sure it must be a Canadian thing?
All three Hobbit films and all three Lord of the Rings films were excellent movies. I definitely recommend the extended editions of all 6 films for hard core fans who will appreciate the extra scenes/lore explained in the world of middle earth. 10/10. :)
My favorite scene in all 6 movies is where Gandalf and Pippin are in Minas Tirith and the only door protecting them and the men of Gondor is being broken down by a horde of orcs and trolls. Pippin starts to cry and tells Gandalf that he didn't think his life would end this way. Then, in an attempt to give Pippin hope and comfort he lies and explains to him that death isn't the end, and that it's just another path. One that they all must take. He goes on to explain a heaven-like place where you see white shores and all of your pain and worries wash away. And during this heartfelt scene you hear the score from Annie Lennox's "Into the west" playing in the background. This probably 60 second scene brings me to tears EVERY time I watch it. And I think it deserved at least an honorable mention.
+dan iel people like you are just plain dumb the hobbit was great if u knew anything you would know peter jackson had little to no time to get this movie done since el toro dropped out of the film then he was working non stop with 2 hours of sleep some nights and just because hobbit was in hd does not mean anything and if u want to complain about cgi there was no prep time like there was for lord of the rings the hobbit is just as good lord of the rings is better only because the prep time was there
I know you mean Harry Potter. I think HP is great, but LOTR definitely beats it. I'd say people compare them, because they have quite a few similarities: They're both fantasy, they both have mainly British actors in, they came out around the same time, etc.
The scene where Gandalf heals Theoden When I was a child I was fascinated by the part he turned younger. I was wondering how they produced sth like that and I still love this scene! Lotr is a masterpiece :)
I agree I always thought Gandalf vs Balrog was kinda... underwhelming. Esp Gandalf's death because you can see that the Balrog's wip isn't around his ankle anymore so why did no one go there to save him??? The bridge isn't crumbling, I mean Aragorn or Legolas (whom we know can walk in crumbling bridges lol) could have saved him smh.
Nora Girl the moria orcs were shooting arrows toward them, i think that was the main reason that Boromir for example stopped Frodo from trying to go out and save him. I think Gandalf also knew that and there for let go early
I haven't watched the list yet, but I have to start with I madly love all about Lord Of The Rings, like only listening to these words make me smile, and I can't even count how many awesome and timeless moments are there, but still, one that always comes to mind and brings me the chills... "My friends, you bow to no one."
What the Hobbits were thinking when everybody bowed to them. Merry: This is kinda cool.... Pippin: Now I might finally get laid! Frodo: I coulda saved that ring, if Sam had let me jump in the lava! Sam: I hope my fly is closed.
I honestly did find myself a bit teary eyed when Gollum fell into the fire. And the cheering for Frodo gives me goosebumps every time. Pippins Song was beautiful and nearly drove me to tears. Many people can say what they want about The Hobbit, but the riddle contest scene was absolutely brilliant. Meet the Nazgul? Eh... just a minor scene but they were pretty threatening. OMFG I loved Aragorn becomes the king! He was probably the best character in the movies for me. And to bow to the Hobbits was just tear jerking. I did love the effort Benedict Cumberbatch put into Smaugs voice and motion capture as well. Seeing Gollum in full light was awesome. Im surprised Andy Serkis never got a Supporting Actor Award just for Gollum. Boromirs death was.... eh. He wasnt bad but I wasnt that impressed with his character. Battle of Helms Deep was just epic in every way. The bombs blowing up, Haldirs death, the final stand, everything was just perfection. Who can forget Legolas' slide down the stairs? ;) I honestly think any of the Honorable Mentions would be better than the Balrog match, like when Sam carried Frodo up the mountain. One thing to say about #1 though? I really thought Gandalf was gone for good and was really upset. Also... no love for the Charge of the Rohirrim? Hello? At Pelennor Fields?
How can u not appreciate Boromirs character? Nobody had as much pressure as him other than maybe Theoden. Also keep in mind that it was gondors responsibility to keep mordor in check. Plus when it came down to it he died for two hobbits. Who were at the bottom of the caste system. I hope I convinced you
+mckenna kirk hahah the science tht made me cry was ( I think ) gray havens where frodo and bilbo and elrond and gandalf etc leave Sam and say there good byes
The closest Place we get to Middle Earth is the Place where the filmed in... New Zealand (of course some locations are not open for the public like the Rangapo Desert where they shot The Battle of the Black Gate, it's a military shooting range, it was even dangerous for the cast and crew to film there dispite the military thoroughly cleaned away any fired anummtion, bombs and missiles that haven't exploded so no one would be blown to pieces, luckily, it never happened, although a couple of times someone found a bomb in the sand, yelled cut and bom techinicians ran in to take care of it before anyone got killed or seriously injured).
I love the scene in The Fellowship, when The Bridge of Khazad Dum is collapsing - the music builds so much tension and weight for the whole group and gets me every time!
I really hate that line because I get what Lucas was going for. Anakin saying he hates sand is a way of saying he hated Tattooine, but it's just cheesy Lucas dialogue. Hayden Christiensen didn't help either.
The final scene between Frodo and Sam at the end of The Fellowship has always been my favorite. It's so heartbreaking and beautiful that Sam loves Frodo so much that he will not let Frodo go to Mordor without him.
Dim Gka I complete agree with you good sir. the hobbit movie failed at many a turn but at least they got that perfect and real and right not cgi. at least they did them too I guess. thanks for adding that.
There were two that I thought were missing the charge of the Rohirrim/Battle of Pellenor (which I would've ranked higher than Helm's Deep) and the Grey Havens (which would probably be #1 for me). But I guess that there are too many awesome LOTR moments that a 10 slot list (or heck, a 20 slot list even) would be way too short.
+Alex Rikess because it isn't the best scene...I find Sam's speech at Osgiliath the most powerful moment of all, but that doesn't even cut it into this list.
My favorite is the charge of Rohan in return of the king. I love hearing that horn sound in the middle of the fight telling us that the tide is about to turn, and it kinda did
All very good moments no doubt about it, but the Charge of the Rohirrim will always be my favourite moment. No exaggeration at all, it is my favourite moment in film of all time. Goosebumps and raised hairs on the back of my neck every time. When they blow the horns and that violin theme plays I just well up with tears even though it isn't a sad moment. Everything about it is perfect. Also I think the bit where Sam almost drowns but then Frodo saves him and they have that brilliant talk deserved an honourable mention too. That bit also makes me tear up a bit. (P.S I'm not always such a wuss, LOTR just hits me right in the feels)
No charge of sons of Durin, ride of the Rohirrim, Sam's speech, Thorin's and Bilbo hug, Thorin's death and funeral, the fight at weathertop, any eagles arrival, fight at dol guldur, Lothlorien, sam vs Shelob? Ok, that's another separate top 10 list, i can name many more :)
AquaThunderKnight17 Haven't seen it yet. Was so disapointed after the 3'rd movie, How could Peter Jackson make a trilogy over a short book, and then cut such a vital scene?
It's def one of the best scenes. I don't understand why they cut it out from the "original version". Gandalf's speech, damn. Considering it's the death of the entire Line of Durin, it really should have been in the movie.
My top 10 favorite scenes in no particular order: - The Grey Haven’s (The Lord of the Rings: The Return if the King) - Sméagol talks with Gollum (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers) - The Forging of the Rings (The Lord is the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings) - The Shire sequence (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring) - The Minas Tirith battle (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King) - The Fellowship walks over a mountain (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring) - Sam carries Frodo (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King) -For Frodo (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King) -The Battle of Helms Deep (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers -Aragorn becomes king (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King)
1) Sam's Speech at Frodo in Osgiliath (TT) 2) Gandalf confronting the Balrog (FotR) 3) The dwarves song in Bag End (HtEJ) 4) Riddles in the Dark (HtEJ) 5) Eowyn kills the WitchKing (RotK) 6) Homes left Behind (RotK) 7) Passing of Boromir (FotR) 8) The Opening Narration (FotR) 9) Smaug and Bilbo (DoS) 10) Battle at the Black Gate (RotK)
Those I recall more so than the list in this video. However, it is hard to put all six movies into a single top 10 video. I would've separated the two, because there are so many memorable moments in each film.
wait a minute that card THe first Hobbit film did have merits. But as much as I enjoyed Riddles in the Dark and Smaug speaking, so many honorable mentions and scenes that didnt make the list are infinitely better.
The scene that always gives me chills is in The Return of the King. It's with Gandalf and Pippin in Minas Tirith when Gandalf is talking about death. Gandalf's lines and the music in the background...it's just beautiful.
The charge of Rohirrims from the Return of the King should definitely be number 1.
Nah the one from TTT should be 1. The one from ROTK is just a copy paste of Gandalf's original idea cuz Theoden has no mind of his own.
Nora Girl neither beats Gandalf’s fight with the Balrog
MY favorite moment is "FOR FRODO"

7) The Council of Elrond

+kelly Honestly, That might be the number one scene in the entire series.
You're right.
It got replaced with moments from....the hobbit...(shudders)*
+Ryan Brown The Riddles in the Dark scene was great! It is the best scene out of the whole Hobbit trilogy in my opinion, that scene deserves to be on the list. It was probably one of the few scenes that was accurate to the book.
Where is "For Frodo" at The Black Gate. Best scene in my opinion
Yes that should be on the list
that or Aragorn telling the Hobbits "you bow to no one"
na, the best one is the rohirrim charge at the battle on pelennor fields
WHY DONT THEY JUST PUT ALL THE MOVIES IN EH
+Niklas K. Do you mean the rohirim charge helmsdeep or the men of Rohan charge into the pelenor fieldscout because although there were rohirim at the battle of Minas tirith amongst the men of Rohan it was king theoden's men of Rohan that charged
Every Lord of the Rings moment should be higher on the list than the hobbit. It just can't be beat
+DoctaDaKing not quite. Gollum's game of riddles definitely did belong in this list.
+DoctaDaKing The two they chose definitely belong on the list, but probably at #10 and #9.
+Scwurt that I can agree with. But nothing else from the hobbit should make it, imo
+DoctaDaKing i agree
+DoctaDaKing The riddles scene is spectacular. I think that deserves to be on the list because if you read the book like I did when I was younger you'd realise how incredibly well done that scene was
5- Gondor's battle
4- Smaug speaks
3- Boromir' death
2- You shall not pass
1- Destruction of the Ring!!!
All the LotR nerds (including me) cringed with the way the narrator pronounced the names...
Minis Tirith? Saoron? No. NO. Unacceptable.
HipsterSheep Min-ess Teriath is how he pronounced it I was so cringed
it's painful
When he said Peregreen Took, I cringed...
Its so paintful
The way he said those names Ay Yi yi Yi yi.
Greatest MOVIE trilogy of all time.
Next to the dark knight trilogy.
+MisterHooboMaster You're a huge LOTR fan AND Metal Gear fan? Are you me?
+Hernan Adames-Incer lol, no
+Hernan Adames-Incer Ew no.
+MisterHooboMaster Indeed, the books were not a trilogy.
The Lighting of the Beacons?
Gandalf and Pip ascend Minas Tirith?
The skirmish of Amon Hen?
The Battle of Pelennor Fields?
Gandalf vs. Saruman?
All these are 1000 times better than anything in the Hobbit movies.
+Hidious Vanity the battle at weather top when the wraiths come up and encircle the hobbits.
U ryt....
+WreckNRepeat number 1 that moment aragorn threw me into an uruk army... or maybe number 1 should just be LOTR as a whole
I literally tried to make a top 30 here in the comment section. I think I fucked up xP
But dude...
+Hidious Vanity
Charge of the Rohirrim?
+Naz Osman I agree with you so much:)
I personally think Sam carrying Frodo is the best.
I think there should be two separate lists, where in the other there's comedic or awesome scenes, and all the emotional scenes go to the other. In the awesome list "You shall not pass" would be #1, in my opinion, and in the emotional list Sam's speech would be #1
Sandra Henriksson no legolas' skateboarding 'with style' should be no.1
Amen
1) Ride of the Rhoherim (Return of the King)
2) Same & Frodo climbing Mount Doom (Return of the King)
3) Aragon's Speech/Battle at the Black Gate (Return of the King)
4) Sam's Speech (Two Towers)
5) Battle of Pelanor Fields (Return of the King)
6) Battle of Helms Deep (The Two Towers)
7) Broomier's Death (Fellowship of the Ring)
8) YOU SHALL NOT PASS! (Fellowship of the Ring)
9) Pippin's song (Return of the King)
10) Bilbo & Smaug (Desolation of Smaug)
Honourable Mentions…
The breaking of the fellowship, The Battle of the Five Armies, Barrel Chase, Riddles in the Dark, Battle of Dagorlad, Lothlorian, Wagge Battle, Gollum vs Smeagol, Sauroman's death, Battle of Osgiliaith, Arwen/Nazgul chase,
For all you Hobbit fans, I really liked the Hobbit movies but IMO they don't have any moments that surpass the 9 other moments in the LOTR trilogy.
IMO this list is better than the watchmojo list
shadow of the past also , and the "get off the road" are good
Good list, but oh so many misspelled names.
How about Pippin joining the fellowship?
+musiclover pippin at his best
+Jaden McGettigan
agree with you
+Jaden McGettigan Considering how desperate WM are getting list wise, I can't believe that they didn't separate LOTR and the Hobbit.
+UrukHai659 They missed out the charge at Minas Tirith in a list of greatest movie war speeches once, and replaced it with the speech Aragorn did when they reached Gondor. I think they just have something against the first scene. :P
"Shall I describe to you? Or you would like me to find you a box?"
Legolas best character ever
I'm going to miss all of the movies that take place in Middle Earth.
well, at least I'm glad I have The Lord of the Rings Trilogy to myself!
+Norcal Airsoft Here's to hoping Peter Jackson will one day have the right to the silmarillion.
+adamriley87 Kinda hope not after what he did with the Hobbit
+Pieter Dennison To be fair it was a kids book but people were expecting tone of lotr and therefore the tone of the hobbit was always going to be off as he tried to skew it for the fans but ended up ruining it (it should never have been a trilogy as well)
I kind of agree now the more I think about it but he made lotr as good as it is
+Norcal Airsoft so true , i agree
How is Sam carrying Frodo only an honorable mention? more importantly, how did Sam's incredible speech from the Two Towers NOT make it into the countdown??
+Samantha Sparks I agree...I always tear up in that scene
Because there are too many greatest moment in the LOTR to make a Top 10 list. But they actually did an alright list for once instead of shitty clickbait like they usually do.
You're TOTTALY right
FUCKING THANK YOU!
I disagree. Smaug's conversation with Bilbo is easily top 5 material. The single best depiction of a dragon i have ever seen.
+Max Well said! The Hobbit is nowhere close to LOTR
1:19 I remember watching this for the first time. as soon as Frodo said "The ring is mine." and put the ring on, my sister and I were screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" because we had hope that he wouldn't give in to the ring. good times.
They're Taking The Hobbits To Isengard!!
bob helton stop using THAT line
They're taking Isengard to the Hobbits.
@@smoji2633 what did you say, they're taking the hobbits to isengard!
Sam's speech in Osgiliath at least deserves an honorable mention
Did he just say Sore-on?
+Kyle Gerhart I'll admit, I haven't watched the Hobbit movies, but I thought Smaug was pronounced like "Smog", not "Smay-augh", or "Smowg". I'm pretty sure it must be a Canadian thing?
+MoTown2112 I like to call him smeg because it is so blatantly wrong. Plus smeg the dragon just rolls off the tongue
+Kyle Gerhart wtf right?!
+MoTown2112 I also always pronounced it "Smog" and I'm not Canadian
And he said para-greene
Please say I'm not the only one who cries when Boromir falls, redeems himself and then dies. It's so well done
Me too.
I cry every time I see it.
All three Hobbit films and all three Lord of the Rings films were excellent movies. I definitely recommend the extended editions of all 6 films for hard core fans who will appreciate the extra scenes/lore explained in the world of middle earth. 10/10. :)
What the shit? Sam's speach in Osgiliath didn't even get an honorable mention? Screw this list.
Chuck Lee or when Legolas kills the mumakill, or the bell charge in five armies, or Theodens charge in return, or potatoes. This list is trash
So many mispronounced names. My god.
I know, right? I was squirming and just ugh no
I fckin hate watchmojo
I physically cringed when he said "Sore-ron"
Kassie Mayfair oh my god same. I heard that and immediatly went to the comments
I know right? It's almost like he never saw or read any of the LOTR!
And I think it deserved at least an honorable mention.
the rohirrim charge deserves a place on this list
at least in honorable mentions
I don't get how can people compare HP with LOTR.
+dan iel people like you are just plain dumb the hobbit was great if u knew anything you would know peter jackson had little to no time to get this movie done since el toro dropped out of the film then he was working non stop with 2 hours of sleep some nights and just because hobbit was in hd does not mean anything and if u want to complain about cgi there was no prep time like there was for lord of the rings the hobbit is just as good lord of the rings is better only because the prep time was there
+Bo2heartmw2
K. Don't know when did I mention The Hobbit. Btw, nice writing skills. 1 cheeseburger, please.
+dan iel wrong person lmao
+Bo2heartmw2 agree
I know you mean Harry Potter. I think HP is great, but LOTR definitely beats it. I'd say people compare them, because they have quite a few similarities: They're both fantasy, they both have mainly British actors in, they came out around the same time, etc.
Did he just say "Para-green took"
+TheMagicBlood yes, yes he did
And sore-ron
But I swear, Para-green took gets me XD
+TheMagicBlood Dude's horrible on his pronunciation man.
+Peuci and mi nass ti reath
The scene where Gandalf heals Theoden
When I was a child I was fascinated by the part he turned younger. I was wondering how they produced sth like that and I still love this scene! Lotr is a masterpiece :)
what about Sam's speech
the tales that mattered during the battle of osgoliath and before he carries frodo. Those are the best.
Sam carries Frodo only in honourable mentions, this wouldve been 1 for me and 2 would have been gandalf vs bulrog
AMEN Brother
Yes definitely that should have been #1!
@@MARYWTHER It's clear he wanted them to leave him to fall, he didn't even try to get up, just hang on long enough to tell them to get the fuck out.
Also when Gandalf is telling Pippin about "death being a path, we must all take" and so on...
👌🏽
Best moment to me is and always will be The Ride Of The Rohirrim in the Return Of The King. Badass speech, badass scene
Who can forget Legolas' slide down the stairs? ;)
I honestly think any of the Honorable Mentions would be better than the Balrog match, like when Sam carried Frodo up the mountain. One thing to say about #1 though? I really thought Gandalf was gone for good and was really upset.
Also... no love for the Charge of the Rohirrim? Hello? At Pelennor Fields?
Haha you wrote this whilst watching the video haha
How can u not appreciate Boromirs character? Nobody had as much pressure as him other than maybe Theoden. Also keep in mind that it was gondors responsibility to keep mordor in check. Plus when it came down to it he died for two hobbits. Who were at the bottom of the caste system. I hope I convinced you
+MiyuChan THANK YOU!!! Finally someone else who thinks The Charge Of The Rohirrim was worth a spot! AT LEAST AN HONORABLE MENTION, AT LEAST!!!

That's what I thought! That's one of my favourite scene

that one made me cry like a baby lol
+mckenna kirk hahah the science tht made me cry was ( I think ) gray havens where frodo and bilbo and elrond and gandalf etc leave Sam and say there good byes
+Da Vinci icniV ad that one too and the "for frodo" scene
Where are the Rohirrim watchmojo?? WHERE ARE THEY????
The beacons of minas tirith aren't lit yet I guess
Best moment was definitely Bilbo’s speech on why he didn’t leave the dwarves in the first film
I wish there were such a world as middle earth.
Ron Delby Who doesn't?
You never know
you'd have to be quite a badass to live in it though. STILL EASIER THAN WARHAMMER 40K.
According to Tolkien, this is actually our word
It has been over 15 years and I still get chills from watching these movies. Peter Jackson will always be a legend for creating such amazing movies.
Yes
Too bad he died in Bree.
😋
Where's the scene, they're taking the hobbits to Isengard?
It's in the Lord of the Rings the Two towers intro
xD
ThePemudalope who says that line? i cant remember
Gamer Girl Legolas says it
sharon012490 ok thanks
I love the scene in The Fellowship, when The Bridge of Khazad Dum is collapsing - the music builds so much tension and weight for the whole group and gets me every time!
You should do "Top 10 Star Wars I-VI Quotes"
I got #1 at "I don't like sand"
more of a dishonerable mention there
+MegaDragonslayer1997 "It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere."
I really hate that line because I get what Lucas was going for. Anakin saying he hates sand is a way of saying he hated Tattooine, but it's just cheesy Lucas dialogue. Hayden Christiensen didn't help either.
"No" -Darth Vader
"No" -Luke Skywalker
"No" -Obi Wan Kenobi
"Beep Bup" -R2D2
And of course..
"Unlimita Powa" Sheevie.
+MegaDragonslayer1997 Or "I'm haunted by the kiss."
The final scene between Frodo and Sam at the end of The Fellowship has always been my favorite. It's so heartbreaking and beautiful that Sam loves Frodo so much that he will not let Frodo go to Mordor without him.
That thumbnail made a perv face😂😂

I still believe the best scene is when the Dwarves sing "Misty Mountains Cold" in Bilbos home
Dim Gka I complete agree with you good sir. the hobbit movie failed at many a turn but at least they got that perfect and real and right not cgi. at least they did them too I guess. thanks for adding that.
Dim Gka and when they eat all bilbos storage
Dim Gka that was beautiful too
I liked the hobbit better
No Thorin moments
I kind of missed the "For Frodo" Scene, and for me the best scene is the "I can carry you" because Sam is just hands down the best Character in LotR
10 minutes into destroying the ring & chill and he gives you that look...
LMFAO!!!!!
Thorin death and his last words should be in this list
I know. That gave me shivers down the spine.
And also killi and filli was sad
For the reason alone that a franchise had the guts to kill a main character. I know it was "in the books" but still, how many franchises do that?
And the damn bell charge scene
silver7 Super star I agree
"My friends. You bow to no one."
The climax of all of middle earth is at number 10
+Alex Rikess because it isn't the best scene...I find Sam's speech at Osgiliath the most powerful moment of all, but that doesn't even cut it into this list.
+Yash Arora What speech? sry was a while since i wached the movies
I just found it kinda funny how the climax of the final movie was number 10 and the climax of the first movie was number 1
+Alex Rikess You know what they say, "It's not about the destination, it's about the journey"
tmevcitwamareb and not all those who wander are lost
My favorite is the charge of Rohan in return of the king. I love hearing that horn sound in the middle of the fight telling us that the tide is about to turn, and it kinda did
My opinion is same
No "For Frodo" moment?!!
fuck frodo
I laughed so hard at this comment even if frodo is awesome
+Antonio Díaz Where was " I never thought I would die fighting side by side with an elf" " What about side by side with a friend?".
+Anonymous Gaming or the "and rohan will awnser "(beacons scene)
There really is way too any great moments in Lord of the rings.
my favourite moments from
FOTR: the prologue
TTT: elves arrive at helms deep
ROTK: the lighting of the beacons
im pretty sured you butchered every single name... omg my ear burns

+soccernicholas6 paragreen lol

I swear I cringed every time he mispronounced a name. It was frightening.
+soccernicholas6 Give him credit, I think he said "Sam" right.
No love for Theoden's "Where is the horse and the rider" scene in Two Towers? For shame.
+SinDawg030 How did it come to this...?
+SinDawg030 That's one of the reasons I said they need a Top 20--you could get a top 20 easy out of just LOTR alone!
Lighting of the Beacons was amazing with its visuals and score! Yet not a mention.
1:05 I just injured myself from laughing.
Got so many goosebumps watching this
The whole trilogy should be an honorable mention.
Thank yoi
I'm so hyped, I'm doing a lord of the rings marathon tomorrow
No charge of sons of Durin, ride of the Rohirrim, Sam's speech, Thorin's and Bilbo hug, Thorin's death and funeral, the fight at weathertop, any eagles arrival, fight at dol guldur, Lothlorien, sam vs Shelob? Ok, that's another separate top 10 list, i can name many more :)
What about The Grey Havens when Frodo and the Elves left Middle Earth?
"Sore-on" and "Peregreen Toook" .......I can't believe this
Bhiner1029 “toook” is actually how it is pronounced
Min-ahs Tirith. Smh.
“I will not hide, behind a wall stone, while others fight our battles FOR US! It is not in my blood Thorn.” Come on! That was an epic scene.
Shame the "Death of Smaug" and "The Funeral scene" (both from Battle of the Five Armies) weren't mentioned.
What funeral scene? It wasn't In the theatrical release.
Nico Pedersen Extended Edition scene...makes me cry EVERY time
AquaThunderKnight17 Haven't seen it yet.
THAT WAS NOT IN LOTR BUT IN THE HOBBIT.
It's pronounced SAUR- RUN not SIR- RON.
And #10 should've been #1.
That was exactly my reaction too!
I know right he made the top ones the bottom and the bottom ones the top.
Hashim Muhammad SAUR-ON
To be more precise Sauron is pronounced SOUR-ON and not SORE-ON.
My top 10 favorite scenes in no particular order:
- The Grey Haven’s (The Lord of the Rings: The Return if the King)
- Sméagol talks with Gollum (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers)
- The Forging of the Rings (The Lord is the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings)
- The Shire sequence (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring)
- The Minas Tirith battle (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King)

-For Frodo (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King)
-The Battle of Helms Deep (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
-Aragorn becomes king (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King)
MY favorite scene is Riddles in the dark, so I’m happy it’s on here.

Those I recall more so than the list in this video. However, it is hard to put all six movies into a single top 10 video. I would've separated the two, because there are so many memorable moments in each film.
Not one moment in the Hobbit can even come close to the LOTR. THe worst scene in LOTR is better than the entire Hobbit franchise
+Luke McGowan sad but true LOTR will always have the throne
first hobbit movie was my guilty pleasure. it was a decent movie and I liked the feeling off getting things started on a long journey.
wait a minute that card THe first Hobbit film did have merits. But as much as I enjoyed Riddles in the Dark and Smaug speaking, so many honorable mentions and scenes that didnt make the list are infinitely better.
Agreed
+Luke McGowan If you ever read the Hobbit it makes the movie feel even worse.
"My friends, you bow to no one"
Procedes to cry*
The scene that always gives me chills is in The Return of the King. It's with Gandalf and Pippin in Minas Tirith when Gandalf is talking about death. Gandalf's lines and the music in the background...it's just beautiful.
