KSA
Both of you are incredible thanks a lot for your effort
Excuse me, may I ask whether Catherine's accent is RP or not? It sounds a little bit different from Dan's accent, which is obviously RP.
What does RP mean?
RP means received pronunciation, the accent spoken in Southern England and also on radio, television and in other official institutions.
Dan and Katie, , you are gravely enjoyable reporters!!!
Thank you 🙇
I have to adapt to the university environment so as not to failed.
I had a gravely disease last year when I worked in a company.
I hit the books for my midterm exam 2 weeks ago and I could answer all the questions. It really payed off!

Thank you, BBC. 💚
Hello to both of you
Once again..three words similar to french words. i.e 1/ . to adapt = adapter or s'adapter. 2/ grave...= grave, sérieux...3/ to pay off : payer, rapporter. You know I am wondering if English isn't nearier to French than Spanish. I am stunned
You're right - there are a surprising number of similarities in the English and French languages. Maybe we shouldn't be surprised when we consider how close the UK is to France! Along with Ireland, you are our closest neighbours, so maybe it is inevitable that we share some language..?
@@bbclearningenglish
It is a pleasure for me and not at all a reproach. I live in the Basque Country, thirty minutes from Spain, and I really wonder if English and French are not closer. When I started learning English, I thought it was very close to German. But, the more I learn it, the more I think it looks like French. I am very happy about that. I didn't know we were so close.
Many english words originate from latin. They are similar in portuguese.
Thank u so much
Voice of Dan is really clear for a nonnative speaker to comprehend
Honestly, I was in grave danger of getting low score in listening test at first. Then, I adapted to listen to BBC podcasts in order to boost my listening skill. At the same time, I realized that Georgia likes to speak gravely to her friend. Today I took an exam test and my hard work paid off.
Awesome examples! Good job!!
@@bbclearningenglish thanks. It is due to BBC program. I am almost addicted to this program. And even more importantly, not a single goes without listening to BBC podcasts.

Hi
Thanks Mr Dan and Ma'am Katherine as well.
So we had three vocabulary
Firstly, adapt ... last year when I got a new job,it took a short time to adapt with it.
Secondly, gravely.... my dad talks gravely whenever he wants to explain his new decisions.
Last but not least, pay off.... sure I moved from a country to another in order to search of such a good job and that paid me off because I finally got my favourite job.
I'm on cloud nine because I understood what you have just explained, my greetings for all humans in BBC learning English channel.
I like yours lessons 💪

Those attacks were fatal he suffered gravely and was gravely wounded he still hasn't recovered yet he is in a grave danger of losing his memory
I studied english hard to finally be able to leave a comment here in the comment section, being capable of expressing my thoughts through the use of English really gives me a feeling that everything I have done has paid off, considering the fact that I have had to adapt to my personal situation where I have to combine work and study. Nevertheless, I have never given up, not a single time, even during the hardest times, when I worked too much and become gravely ill, with no one there to safeguard me.
Great comment! Thanks - and keep going with your English!
Very good 😆
pay off
gravely
adapt
, the difficulty is about using , I think we need to alot of examples about vocabulary ,
They couldn't know how hard we will ADAPT the year after the video released.
Everyday two three such videos we want because it desperately needs.
You guys are really doing great job. 😊👍
Rich countries in fact are not really rich at all. But their political system rather transparent. With almost no financial corruption at all. And poor countries the other way are not really poor, most of them are actually have abundance of minerals resources. And geographically living without any natural disaster throughout the year.
Lovely guy 😍
adapt: change to fit the situation.
gravely: seriously
pay off: succeed and bring benefit.
Yes. First!
What is the level we have learned in these videos?
the pattern of the skirt is similar to the skin of python .a little scary
Adapt = change to sit on the situation
Gravely =very seriously
If you change the job you'll have to adapt your behavior to the new environment. It could be painful gravely but you'll definitely pay off later
In this video Dan talks gravely
very good, I love you friends.
We love you too, Ueslei Rodrigues!
Who like me, love ❤️ BBC LEARNING ENGLISH?
It would takes me a few years to adapt with British accent.I do believe it will pay off later.
1Adapt means change : I adapted my new life style when I moved to another city. 2
Gravely means serious Emp: take the doctors advice gravely unless your health can be in danger.
