Hi! I'm so glad I found your video. I have a cutting of this and am not sure if I'm tending to it well. How often did you water? I think I need to move the cutting to a smaller amount of soil. And how long then did the rooting take? I got my cutting a week ago and am so anxious to watch it grow!

I had it in a shallow amount of soil so I could be sure it dried out between waterings, but then I made sure I didn't let it go long between waterings. ie, as soon as I noticed it was dry I watered it again. Mine also took almost three weeks, but I don't know if that's normal or not. Mostly, I figured it had rooted when I saw new growth pop out on top, and the ones I did in water verified when the new roots were out. ua-cam.com/video/XzWJBXqshVM/v-deo.html This video actually has my planting them in their own pots and it was over a month later, but you can see the new growth and the roots.

Thank you so much for posting this! Like you said there aren’t many videos about this peperomia. You let the soil propagation callus over. Did you let the water propagation also callus over?

I cut all the propagations at the same time and let them callus over before putting them in either the water or the soil.

Did you use a root hormone for this propagation. I rece recently bought one and I want to save it so badly.

I did not. I haven't really ever used rooting hormone.

@@stories5596 thank. And how do you know it’s ready to pot? Will the stem grow roots will it callouses?

    • @stories5596

@@factsrfacts_4727 The stem will grow roots. When the roots are at least an inch long (I'm not sure I waited long enough in my video. I was impatient.) then it's ready to transfer to soil. Just make sure you keep the soil wet for a while (since it's used to pure water) until it's been a week or so, then water as normal.

@@stories5596 I was refering to soil propagation and when to transfer after the plant callouses, but maybe I need to try water propagation.
