      EXACTLY! And I disagree with the judicial system here In so many cases. I just read about a man who beat a 3 year old so bad the kid is blind for life and all he got was 11 years!!! How does that make a lick of sense!?

    • @16kings
      @16kings 2 роки тому +6

      I think part of the problem is that there is no unified consensus on whether or not these people are being punished for their crimes or rehabilitated. If the law made that distinction, I think that would make sentencing guidelines a little more clear. If the goal is rehabilitation, excluding someone from society for a long period of time is bad idea. However, if the objective is to punish someone for the crimes they committed, leniency should be off the table. Without the law making that distinction, these two ideologies are selectively enforced. That’s why there is so much inconsistency. This guy here got 6 years, but in the next town over he might have gotten 20. Our justice system really is a clown show in a lot of ways.

    • @hoodroberts
      @hoodroberts 2 роки тому +5

      Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a criminal justice system where the term "career criminal" was never used because these sub-humans would be sentenced to life without parole after a couple of felony convictions? In this case the sub-human repeatedly violated the terms of his probation including smuggling drugs into rehab. The sub-human could have gotten a 10 year sentence but the squishy judge gave it only 6.5 years. It, will no doubt, be released from prison before the 6.5 years.
      The current criminal injustice system is an almost complete failure because it is based upon rehabilitation. Here are the latest statistics -- "The U.S. releases over 7 million people from jail and more than 600,000 people from prison each year. However, recidivism is common. Within 3 years of their release, 2 out of 3 people are rearrested and more than 50% are incarcerated again." The system will remain a failure as long as it fails to recognize that the primary goal is protection of the innocent (i.e. safe streets) achieved by long term incarceration of the criminal sub-humans.

Most of these people have made the conscious decision to break the rules and be a detriment to society, they think they are too good to work a real job like everybody else. Let them rot. Participating in society is a privilege, not a right.

      @@maxwels2553 so if you make a conscious decision to break the law knowing full well that you could end up in prison at age 16, you are proposing that after the age of 20 you should get a clean slate?
      I can agree with this only under one condition. That is if you get caught a 2nd and 3rd and 4th time you are exempt from this 2nd Chance.
      Everyone in society knows what the consequences of crimes against society are, children as young as 5 years old understand that they will suffer consequences for being a bad child. If you are then shocked that you get a felony charge for holding drugs, stolen property, driving under the influence and such you are likely not being honest, and trying to game the system. This is when society gets to label you a career criminal and you need to suffer the consequences for your actions.
      Millions of people work regular jobs and they succeed in life, they do this by living in society not above it or against it.
      Be a human being and you will 99% of the time be treated the same, act like a thug and get treated like a thug.
      Do the crime do the time.
      Children need to be taught to be proactive about their lives, things like don’t hang out with criminals, and they will not be seen as criminals.
      The biggest advice about how to succeed in America are simple.
      Don’t do drugs
      Don’t get pregnant or get someone pregnant before marriage.
      Do finish high school.
      These simple rules will almost guarantee that you will have a better life than your parents.
      I also think that parents need to be held accountable for bad children, because 99% of the time children’s parents are the biggest influence up till age 12. Raise a human being and then guide them into adulthood.
      Or
      Don’t have children.

    I work in security, have worked both in corrections and psychiatric care security. Nothing makes me more uncomfortable than the way this guy moves. A co-worker once described this behavior as being like a cat looking at a bird it wants to eat, like he's gauging size and distance for an imminent attack. The sociopaths who do this kind of thing are career criminals, have spent a lot of time attacking and deceiving people, and can practically see into your soul by looking at just your body language. If you're kind, they will pretend to be your friend or intimidate you to get advantage. If you're insecure, they'll instigate you so they have an excuse to use later if caught for hurting you. If you're professional and not in control of them, they'll dispense with guile and go immediately into fight or flight; if you are in control of them, they trade off between impotent rage, or whining and crying like a little bitch. If they get free, they will absolutely attempt to harm you and others opportunistically and without purpose, lashing out to reassert their perception of control.
    Once saw a fvckstick like this gutcheck a nurse and clothesline a 75 year old, crippling her. He did it while fleeing; neither woman posed a threat or in his way, they were just nearby as he ran. As soon as we had hands on him again, he started crying and whimpering that he didn't do anything wrong. As soon as we had him in cuffs, he went straight into screaming in rage. He was less like a human, and more like a wild animal with the ability to speak.

    The term career criminal is, to put it mildly, a euphemism with regard to the state of the USA.
    Not only are there more people behind bars in the U.S. than in any other country in the world, but the U.S. also has a very high rate of reincarceration. Moreover, the system is designed for revenge rather than rehabilitation, and to keep people behind bars (as cheap forced labor) for as long as possible.
    Apart from that, the crime rate in a country always has a lot to do with living conditions and upward mobility. And, of course, with the spread between rich and poor.
    So to assume in a country like the U.S. that everyone who became a criminal several times did so because he saw this as an optimal way of life for himself without better alternatives is, to put it mildly, presumptuous.

      Yes! Why didn’t he just use his own words, a lot of criminals say the same thing and think it’ll make the judge give them a break and when it doesn’t work, they get angry or cry and then cuss out the judge or fight the people around them. Crazy. 🤷🏻‍♀️
