Malaysia and Indonesia have the same formal language... But it will be different when u hear malaysian say in their local dialect and Indonesian too... Because sometimes, Indonesia or Malaysia use the mix of language between local and formal language and dialect so that our language sound different. But song between Indonesia and Malaysia usually use formal language, so that we can understand song language easily. Indonesia usually mix with Jakartans dialect and slang.

If the T is in the middle or at the beggining, like in 'patung', 'patuh', 'patah', 'tanah' etc. It sounds more like a t in 'tinker', 'stick', 'steak', 'tinted'. But I'm not really sure though.
