"Florida man makes fun of everyone and accidentally wins"
Lmao hahahaha
😂😂😂 its so true tho
i really hope this sticks, nik is now florida man😂
Nik better pin this. 10/10 comment
He's already wearing the Florida man tank top. Nik has acclimated quickly
Nik : here’s octane
UA-cam : here’s an ad
More like two adds for video... xD
I went here just to comment this 🤣
Joe rogan has adds every 8 minutes now.
Yep
lmao my whole audio just gave up and crashed when he said that
The how to bad wolv... I mean how to octanecore song actually bangs so hard. FUN METAL THINGS HERE!!!!
Its so funny that this has no comments lol. Everyone just agrees
@@krucialraider yeah no other words needed lmao
LETS GET THIS SONG TO THE TOP
PS: Nik sent me footage for this at 2 am, can we get an F in the comments for my sleep schedule
F 🫡
1 I mean F
I think sleep is your enemy. Your editing has been on point for niks vids lately. The reason for many laughs. Appreciate the hard work bro!
F(sleep overrated anyway)
F 🖤
the metal things certainly are fun
Does this technically make Nik the first streamer/online-specific artist to get a song on national radio? This seems like a breakthrough for musicians where finally it's been acknowledged that there's a whole new place for radio to find music that they can put out and promote. I'm not sure what your intent was but you may have put a massive mark on music history here Nik.
not taking anything away from nik, but there was the time a few years ago when jared dines toured with trivium
Ren got a number one album through mainly UA-cam creator releases
He also worked on a side project with Matt... Dines X Heafy @@thedominator87
@@thedominator87 True, I was just referring to getting radio play though. Nik also played live though probably not as extensively as Jared but who knows for sure
@@Singraft I must be out of the loop as I don't know/didn't know who Ren even is until I saw your comment. Did he make it onto radio though? That's the thing I'm highlighting here; Radio play is big. Or at least it used to be, idk if it matters as much nowadays as it did 10-20+ years ago
Moved to Florida and already has the “HELL YEAH, BROTHER!” Down
It happens as soon as you enter the country 😂
@@pool_deck5241
“country” 💀💀💀
Real talk, this is massive for Nik. The dude got a parody song he wrote and produced to premiere on one of the biggest metal platforms in the world. Good shit Nik!
Here’s your reminder to request Octane all day every day so Nik takes this meme all the way and gets his Grammy.
"I did it for the memes."
My parents have Octane almost exclusively playing in their truck and I heard this song on the radio earlier today and my exact reaction was "HOLY SHIT DATS MY BOI THAT I'VE BEEN WATING FOR A FEW YEARS" and I was very happy to see your name on the radio that wasn't the Bluetooth in my car
Song unironically slaps lmfao 🤣 I am dissapointed in the lack of warehouses used in the music video though
We're on a budget in order to maximize profits :v
I remember tuning into Octane one time just out of curiosity, and they were playing Inhumane Harvest by Cannibal Corpse. Not exactly what I was expecting, lol
Guarantee Jose Mangin was DJ-ing then. When I had Sirius XM he would always spice up Octane when he could
@@mattlievens3573 Pretty sure it wasn't Mangin, actually. Didn't stick around long enough to find out who, though, but I know it wasn't him
@@tswizzlemcbizzle in that case it might have been one of those times where a band or artist plays songs they like for an hour or so.
Yo, this did literally exactly what was advertised, literally exactly the way I expected it to sound just from the narrative before the song played.
11/10, no notes.
Go break the internet, fam. Your record deal has gotta be imminent at this point.
Sign to RCA and work with Sleep Token
Dude Octane will EAT THIS UP you don’t have to worry about asking us for anything 😂
Smash like and stream "OCTANE" here: open.spotify.com/album/2hj7tDlhsOO8mZiyh60ZVX
I can't be the only one who thinks this sounds like a Vespera song on Slipknot.
They played Ikari - “Synthetic” a couple weeks ago on Liquid Metal
Gimme fuel
Gimme octane
Gimme... dabadabadah 🤘
the chorus gives killswitch engage howard style. and boy goly am, i HERE FOR IT
Octane is how i found many bands I love today so its cool seeing this tribute/parody of a radio station i hold so dear. Great song and DL was the perfect choice
just heard it on SiriusXM Octane on the way home! super cool and its fantastic
Man…I remember the first time I saw The Acacia Strain live back when DL was their guitarist (and while he was still touring with them) at this tiny ass venue in Charlotte, NC, and being just absolutely gobsmacked watching this 6’3”, tatted-up gangsta brick wall of a man who looked like he would curb stomp you if you got on his bad side (and that’s while he’s on stage with VINCENT FUCKING BENNET, the “end of the world” himself), and still to this day I believe he has one of the best stage presences of any heavy musician I’ve seen.
And now he’s fronting one of the most popular hard rock/metal bands in the scene these days. What a time to be alive.
The Underground?
@@yeti4269 Tremont!
🔥🔥🔥 Lower tuning definitely = better person.
Ok, I'm addicted to this song. It has me nostalgic for Octane from the 00's. DL's vocals are always "S" tier. You outdid yourself, Nik
DAMN! That double kick part in the breakdown with the alternating chugs at 8:55 is just... *CHEFS KISS* Keep winning Nik!!!
Bro!!! That breakdown was undersold. I wasn't ready for it to be THAT good. Well done! Adding it and requesting it.
Some of the best vocals I've heard from him since he joined Bad Wolves ngl
Nik was the guy who kept me practicing guitar without him i would not have learned or kept going! Thanks nik and congrats!
Holy **** THIS SLAPS AND SO DOES THE OTHER SONG UNDISTURBED. Nik this is crazy. Literally makes the perfect rock. You might have started a new wave!!! LETS GO
Heard the new song this morning. Was very Octane.
I wish they played Termina on Octane and Liquid Metal.
The spotify album links to Undisturbed by you and Archie not the OCTANE song
edit: he fixed it my comment is no longer relevent lets go
Came to say this.
Then just search it up. It’s not challenging
The challenge isn't the point. They put in effort to provide a link, I'm pretty sure they would want to know if it wasn't directing people where they meant to.
It must be fixed now because it worked for me.
The song is fantastic Nik! DL is awesome on the vocals and their is still some "fun metal things" in the song. Congrats! 🎉
Bro!!! So proud for what uve done with hard rock. Take it to the next level!! Get big on em!!!
Congrats Nik! The work you're doing to put metal further on the map is awesome, and it's amazing to see you continue to dig a path for yourself to success that's also going to help elevate so many other musicians. You seem like you work pretty hard, so stay well and take care of yourself too through all this so you can keep kicking ass!
DL slayed this! This was a killer collab Nik! You picked a good one! DL rips and so do bad wolves🔥🤘🏻🖤
The radio edits that are built into the song is a nice touch!
Octane lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Think you've got the best of me?
You think I've had enough
Want to see me rest in pieces
Face down in the mud
Won't get the best of me
I'm here to call your bluff
disarm my enemies
my broken skin is thick as f**k
[Pre-chorus 1]
There's a flame, a fire exploding
Gonna blow, gonna make you mine
In my bones feel the octane burning
Raw fuel that never dies
[Chorus 1]
You can build me up just to knock me down
Draw me in just to bleed me out
Even here on the darkest nights
You can't kill the light
You can't kill the light
[Verse 2]
And when the sky turns black
And my heart turns cold
I'll dig the trenches
can't defend this that's the honor code
Overlook the underdog?
Brandish a lethal bite
It's all I've ever learned
Fightin for my f*****g life
[Pre-chorus 2]
There's a flame, a fire exploding
Gonna blow, gonna make you mine
In my bones feel the octane burning
Raw fuel that never dies
[Chorus 2]
You can build me up just to knock me down
Draw me in just to bleed me out
Even here on the darkest nights
You can't kill the light
Dim the beacon, cast me out
Twist the blade, put me in the ground
There's a fire in my eyes
You can't kill the light
Heart attack now
Bring it back now, bring it back down
Make it a night to remember
Here we go
We keep it active rock
Hits like an aftershock
Go viral on Tiktok
[Pre-chorus 3]
You can build me up just to knock me down
Draw me in just to bleed me out
Even here on the darkest nights
[Chorus 3]
You can build me up just to knock me down
Draw me in just to bleed me out
Even here on the darkest nights
You can't kill the light
Dim the beacon, cast me out
Twist the blade, put me in the ground
There's a fire in my eyes
You can't kill the light
You can't kill the light
I like that there is humor mixed in with with these with an accurate breakdown of different parts of song writing while poking fun at it.
Once you’ve been playing long enough it’s not that complicated, but it’s still beneficial to people who get intimidated about starting out writing music. It’s not as complicated as people make out. You just need to have a passion for it.
Bravo sir, heard this the other day and loved it. If radio played more of this, I'd start listening again.
Great job Nik. This is huge for yourself and all the hard work getting on a national radio platform. Song is a banger for sure.
Fun metal things indeed
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
The song is great man, the chorus reminds me a bit of old Soilwork. You need to record an official video for that
Dude? DEFINITELY a Banger! Saved this to my Spotify Playlist 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I've watched your videos for years, it's wild to see Nik Nocturnal on my Sirius feed!
So fun to hear this on Octane earlier today! Can’t wait to hear that breakdown again!
this is such a fun metal thing moment, great job fellas.
Nik, your songwriting sensibility is off the charts! Congrats on the song on Octone! Certified and meme-ified banger 🔥
Great song!! much respect from New Zealand 🤘
I've never commented on here before and I generally avoid commenting on youtube but damn... this track is so sick I just can't... not say WOW! To say you guys nailed it would be an understatement! Thank you for this amazing banger!
This is the first song in a really long that got me bopping, thankyou Nik and Bad Wolves!
Dude, this is actually a really good song !!👏
Aaand once again, my playlist has one more actually good song. Keep it up Nik ❤
I have been absolutely BINGING this song. I've listened to it probably 20 times since last night.
That’s really awesome man… congrats… that’s like a musicians dream come true.
Finally I've Been Waiting for This 🤘🏿🤟🏿
Had a mental flashbang on my way to work this morning, hearing Nik Nocturnal on Octane, I'm all for it though
blasting my eardrums early in the morning before work with such an amazing banger is the best that could happen to me. FUCK YESS from start to finish non-stop headbanging
Dude hell yeah brother! That breakdown was filfthy 🔥
Your best collab song with clean vocals. Very good one 😺 Greetings from Finland.
Wow nice work Nik, epic stuff 👏
Bro I heard this last night coming home from work! I was like nik noocturnal on octane? With Bad Wolves? So i searched your channel to see if I missed one of these and it wasn't there so I'm like ohhhh this that NEW NEW shit coming out in a couple days, and here we are!
Insane idea and I honestly dig the track ❤
Haerd this song on Octane. And I was like this. Sounds like almost every single chart topping song that I've heard back in the '90s and early 2000.... Now I know why. Good stuff! Love the song
Just heard the song on octane. So awesome to see your name on the radio!!!
I really wish that the newer Whitechapel stuff would make it onto Octane. Stuff like Hickory Creek and Anticure definitely have the buttrock vibes but obviously have the sick deathiness as well.
They played on Octane when they were new. Otherwise they're on their actual heavy station Liquid Metal
As an Octane listener, you nailed it. You really did.
10:31 "Ha ha ha"
Ha #1 and Ha #2 were maniacal evil villian laughs followed by Ha #3, which I can only describe as a Teletubby-Stitch laugh of chaotic excitement.
What a banger!, congrats Nik 🤟🏻
Amazing song as always! 🤘🔥🤘
Now we need a song called Liquid Metal next! This song with DL of Bad Wolves was sick!
legit chills, good job boys
Thanks for making my days better nik
I discovered a lot of the music I listen to initially through youtube recommendations and watching interviews with bands and having a listen to the influences they mention like I discovered Korn and Slipknot plus a few others through Motionless in White interviews from like 2010 to 2014 ish (not all recent uploads at the time of watching). I'm almost 23 if that's any indication and to discover bands more recent than the 80s when I was about 11 the first four ish metal bands I discovered were Rob Zombie, Bless The Fall, Asking Alexandria and Avenged Sevenfold.
I hate how good this is, knowing there's not another 12 other tracks on a studio release ready to go
Much love 🔥
Damn man, Kinda sad this hasnt gotten more views 🫠 What an absolute banger of an Idea and song, I hope it picks up more steam and follows through! 🙏
That song was like the exact blueprint to 80% of the stuff on Octane. That breakdown was great!
This is awesome 👏 🤘🔥
So, like at the beginning of the day in olden days, when they played the Star-Spangled Banner, Octane will play this at noon every day as a station identification????
The first clean vocal after the rap is the exact notes and style of Howard Jones and Light the Torch from the song "Die Alone". Just noticed it.
This was fantastic bro!
This song is great. Gotta say that break down and the very end gave me super vibes from falling in reverse. There really recent stuff at least. Gonna be playing the shit outta this track.
Congrats to make it to the radio! Sounds fire af
Congrat Nick, OMG , I really love the song . 👏👏👏👏🎵🎶
My uncle has Sirius and one time we were driving to his house and we passed octane and Viking was playing (by slaughter to prevail) and he said that’s a bit heavy for me but it sounds cool, not even knowing I listen to it, it warms my cold dead heart
Solid work homie
You're incredible Nik. So great to have a creator like you in the metal scene
Nik bringing metal joy to the world. I love it
I saw your name come across my OCTANE feed in my truck. I didn't know what it was, then talked to my brother and explained the entire Jose' Mangin challenge. Much applause, Nick. Well done.
I'll vote for this in the Nik Nocturnal awards this year for best chorus haha :D
majestic work my boy
I like it a whole lot, Nik. It slaps, it bangs, it has the right rawrs, the right amount of 0s and 1s and I can understand the words enough to be able to sing along. Keep making more music! Why FL, though?
dude fl is the best stte in the US
fl best state in us
Well done Nick! Hope your plan works ❤
First time I heard it was the premiere on Octane. I dug it. Good shit. Good shit indeedy!
That breakdown though has got to be the hardest ever in an octane song hands down 🤘🔥
I heard the premier yesterday. It was a massive banger 🤘🤛 🔥
My Dude's! I didn't even know that I needed this.
I love when thrashing around with the synth you can see the cord damn near smack Nik in the head
Thank you Nik for being you and never giving up.
At the end, cool song and perfect prod.
I could see the chorus being a wrestlers entrance music. Like Edge with Metalingus, rearranged with the breakdown before the chorus.
