    Even tho Marcus doesn’t feel this is a mind blowing revert story, to myself and I’m sure to other Muslims it is a lovely story as a new brother joins Islam. Nothing more beautiful than that. May Allah shower u both with good health, happiness ,imaan n blessings. X

      @@revertakh1235 haha, it will happen, no need to worry. If I am honest, I have a few more years left to complete University and I actually thought I would meet someone there but nope! Literally all non-Muslims at my Uni and if there were Asians, they thought I wasn't because I am a lighty so wouldn't even approach me. Hahaha. I remember this one Asian girl was shocked when she realised I was Muslim too, but I suppose not wearing the hijab didn't help. Oh well!

    Dear Irsa & Marcus, how wonderful to hear about your story. Ramadan Mubarak to you both. Marcus, you are amazing as a young Muslim and are an inspiration to young Muslims, who in the Asian community are not as dedicated to Islam as you are. Alhamdulilah, you should be so proud of yourself. You could be a motivational speaker at your local mosque. May Allah bless you both with a happy future life ahead, Ameen.

    I love how Marcus let us in, into his story. It really makes me happy to see how he's bettered himself, and also makes me so grateful that alhamdulillah we were born Muslim! We can never really thank Allah enough. One thing that really hit me was when Marcus said (along these lines) that before he became a Muslim, if you were to ever ask any of his friends if he would accept Islam they'd say not a chance. Subhanallah, it just proves that whoever Allah wishes good for, no-one in the world can stop them.
    Edit: always remember, Islam is perfect, Muslims aren't!

    I find that the Asian community find it extremely shocking when a “white “ person becomes Muslim. Especially the elder generation they are not used to change and can be very narrow minded.
    Be proud marcus you maybe the lamp to their dark world. A positive change that there is no and shall never be racism in the religion.
    May your journey be blessed!

      Ignorance is the key word! The elder generation “believe” they are perfect and sinless thinking they have the right to judge control and execute. They never learn

    • @al.345
      @al.345 5 років тому

      It's because they think that most white people are against Islam and don't like it that's why it's shocking. Like it's shocking to the elders especially because they have grown up with just their ethnicity Muslims too I don't think it's about racism necessarily tbh.

    Marcus shouldn’t be nervous! Being born as muslim does not mean you know everything. Im pretty sure reverts know more at times as the information is more new and fresh. Alhamdulillah you became muslim and basically did things on your own. Definitely you should be proud. I pray that you become stronger and more confident! Some people are saying Marcus is lucky to have Irsa which he is but Irsa is more lucky to have a husband like Marcus! Do share your knowledge or anything you learn would really benefit us. My dad is a Muslim and so am I but my mum is not, I always try to encourage her to come to Mosque with me but she always feels uncomfortable from bad experiences YEARS ago that makes her not want to go, So i understand that point.

    It is so SO important how the ummah are towards new muslims, i have seen a few cases where comments made by brothers and sisters who are born into the religion (must give them some sense of entitlement????) has been powerful enough to push the new muslim back out who has left EVERYTHING they know and are familiar with to start their new journey. It breaks my heart. And a big fat no to everyone who will say “their faith must be weak if my comment can throw them off islam” like shut your mouth and understand it will take time (years even) for someone to fully adjust and wholeheartedly, blindly believe that islam is the one true path, so yes their faith may be a little weak, please be considerate in what you say! I cant even put it into words but If you compare it to you being ‘managed out’, (to the point where you walk out) of your dream job because of constant remarks and belittling from those who are more experienced than you who have been in the same role longer than you, yet manage to get into your head and make you believe you aint good enough to stay in the job, YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF SUCH COMMENTS! Your one ‘little’ comment may be the straw that breaks the camels back! DO NOT BE THE REASON SOMEONE LEAVES ISLAM! YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! BE KIND, BE WELCOMING AND BE SUPPORTIVE ALWAYS!
    Rant over.
