Watching these makes me wonder how the human race has progressed as much as it has.
The human race has progressed due to the efforts of the very smart ones. The rest live on their coat tails. 4 billion ppl are definitely not smart, 2.7 billion are nearly smart, 1.1 billion are smart and 0.16 billion are very smart indeed.
They walk among us and they breed and vote. God help us were are we going, what will the next generation be like, so help us.

Well I'm in Australia but I think it's a world wide problem. Phones and social media take over peoples lives and they end up with no situational awareness and put them selves into situation's that can be catastrophic.

In AZ if you get trapped in a Rillito you are held liable for all damages; $5,000 fine for crossing a police line, $10,000-$15,000 for compensation of rescue teams/ fire brigade to save your ass and the $12, 000-90,000 for a new car that you yourself destroyed!

As it should be! If you put yourself, and rescuers, in a position where you may have to be rescued you should have to pay financially for it! They are starting to send it a bill in some areas in the U.S. for that...

1:50 reminds me of bike week in Laconia NH. A new cop at an intersection directed us cars to turn left when it shoulda been right. I was in front so when I arrived at a spot like this, the local cop was really upset, until I told him another cop directed us. He got on his radio fast but the damage was done and getting us out was a challenge. 😅😅

Numerous idiots with cell phones who (continue) to record videos in vertical (portrait) mode! They should face instant karma by having their cell phones confiscated until they learn to record videos in the more natural looking and more detailed landscape (horizontal) mode!!

You should call the video "instant REGRET", not karma. Those are almost all STUPID DRIVERS that wanted to cross a river.
Karma has nothing to do with that.
A general rule of thumb for all the vehicles attempting to traverse deep water: if your tailpipe gets submerged, you're done driving.
Not always, I have been on 4x4 trips where we had to traverse rivers, when you are driving through it then start floating and feeling the tyres bumping along the ground.
Perhaps you should read up on the definition of instant karma.
