In my hometown, we have a canals across the street in front of a house. There are millions of clam, it’s like 10-15 clams every square metre for 5 kilometres long. Once drought hits, all the clams dies and it’s smell so bad that the local government need to divert back some water. And amazingly, i thought it would died and never come back again, i was wrong. It came back and more than ever. I catch like 5-10 kg a day and make a curry or stir fried with spice or deep fried.
