Love to see more Honda use. I’ve been using northeast Marine for a few years now. Bought my tohatsu 60 from them. They have been servicing my boat since and they do great work. I went with twin mercury 225 for my new boat because of the power to weight ratio. I wouldn’t hesitate to do twin 250 tohatsu/Hondas though. I see coast guard and tow boat using Hondas all the time so they have to be pretty good.
Beautiful boat, those engines are solid, I have an 88 40 2 stroke on my tiller boat and it absolutely screams, I've never once had an issue out of it....and it gets BEAT.
I bought my Tohatsu 60 for my little skiff from northeast marine and they were a pleasure to deal with. Glad to see them getting some good press!
Absolutely they made getting the boat super easy I would definitely recommend them to anyone out there!
Good luck with the boat Captain 20 years ago I heard about those Motors and they said they were great back then so good luck
Congratulations- looking forward to seeing you on the water!
Thank you I helped build that boat and Bailey North Carolina small company I work for but we build great boats it's a working man's boat put a lot of pride in building top quality boats
Brother we are fishing the hell out of it and she is an absolute beast, we appreciate your hard work!
My opinion if anybody has anything negative that’s a darn shame. Congrats to you on the new boat and if you love it man that’s all that matters. Happy for yah
Great great choice of outboard
You are going to love that Tuhatsu I just put one on my boat sat and love that thing!
We’re definitely loving it so far!!!
Nice fishing machine. I’m also thinking of getting twin 250 Tohatsu for my boat as well. I hear good things about them. Congratulations on your new rig. 🎉 👍
Thank you!
Good and smart choice. Practical workhorse. Lots of space for family charters.
Now if I could find a well used Blazer 2200 bay boat for myself …
Ain't been around till you been aground. Congrats on the new sled
Badass!! Hopefully see you guys out there
Nice. Congratulations! Sounds like you have done some time researching and made the right choices for you and your business. Don't let anyone hate on you for that.... I look forward to seeing more of your adventures... How about some safe floor? Do you plan on having Randy get busy with it?
Tohatsu is a beast. Ditching my 2 stroke and getting a 140 soon from NE
I believe the hump in the bow is for added strength and rigidity.
Need to get out there soon and test it out 😂
Great boat I really enjoy mine.
Congrats and best of luck
Nice setup. You can tell you have put a lot of time in researching what you wanted. Curious are you still doing inshore with this ? Being stripped down and all the weight being on the back how is the non moving draft vs on plane draft ?
What a fishing machine!!! I love it without the t-top, it's so open! Also a huge fan of the transom extention/bracket! My next boat will look something like this
Capt that’s a good looking set up. I’ve got the same boat but with a Suzuki 200. Really considering adding a hydraulic Jack plate. Would love to know your fuel economy and do you have any issues with bow dodging?
Thanks man we’re getting right at 3 miles a gallon!
Awesome rig!
congrats!
How are you liking the boat after these past months of ownership. Anything you would have done differently??
We’ve been absolutely loving the boat and motor they’re both very strong and perfect for what we do, so nothing I would change!
Did the parker sell?
If someone rags on you for having a Tohatsu, they're either new to boating or sheltered. Tohatsu is not a new kid on the block. They have made plenty of their own engines for decades on end. But currently, they make Mercury's engines 40hp and under, and tohatsu 50 and up are repainted Honda -- iirc.
Your engine is the same basic 3.6 liter engine in Honda midsize vehicles.
Hell yeah 💯💯👊🏽👊🏽🔥🔥🎣🎣🎣
Honda wanted more market share, Suzuki started kicking their ass. Guess tohatsu didn't want to play with the big Japanese boys. I came to see the C-hawk (a real charter boat) instead heard too much talkin.
The Tohatsu 250 is pretty much the Honda 250. The specs are identical.
Why do you not use a t top
How do you like the tohatsu?
We’re loving it, so far we haven’t had any issues and it runs strong!
@@badfishtv3813 sweet. I got a quote for a project boat and didn’t realize they’ve been in business 100years. I’d run them if it came time.
90hp and up tohatsu are literally rebadged hondas. 60hp and under mercs are actually tohatsu with merc badges. I trust japanese manufacturing so i wouldn't worry about them.
No need to make any excuses for Tohatsu! Oldest outboard manufacturer in Japan. They were even making motorcycles before Yamaha. They make a very high quality product. They supply Mercury with everything under 30hp and Honda makes the largest models for Tohatsu. Simply a business decision. I would place Tohatsu between Ysmaha and Suzuki in terms of a quality product (closer to Yamaha). That said, Tohatsu is a much better value than Yamaha. That opinion is from a 57yo life long saltwater fisherman (and Navy Vet) who has purchased new over the years: 4 Suzukis, 2 Yamahas, 4 Tohatsus, and 3 Mercurys ( as well as numerous used ones of various makes). Counting family and friends, the number would be in the dozens.. Just tired of Tohatsu getting slammed by people who have zero experience. (I do realize that's a Honda on the C-Hawk). Anyway, just FWIW
I live and fish the lower Chesapeake Bay daily. I have a CHAWK 222 and a key west 17ft.
I use Tahatsu engine on my Key West. 40hp. It runs 30mph. Easy on gas/oil. Great engines
Awesome! I just bought a 2019 23' C hawk. Check out the video on my channel, I also have the simrad go 12.
Can I have your old boat? Lol😂
