Hi Bez tech, I’m looking at upgrading my cooler for my i5 9600K and was wondering if you’d recommend the NZXT T120 or kraken 240 AIO. Thanks so much, this channel is great!
Hi, good question! If you have a case with good airflow, I would recommend the T120. The kraken performs slightly cooler but not enough for the jump in price imo. The T120 will be enough to cool the i5-9600k. Thanks for your question! Glad you're enjoying the channel!
@@BeZTechs hello, I was looking at getting the H5 Flow RGB which seems to have solid airflow for the price. Yeah that was my concern, that the Kraken would be significantly better but since the difference is small would the T120 make more sense?
The H5 is a solid choice. On a price per performance scale, I would say the T120 is the better option. If you're not worried about "brand clashing", I'd say check out the AIO featured in this video. (Thermalright frozen prism 240 AIO) I've been very impressed with its temperatures and it's price point is closer to the T120.
@@BeZTechs hello, the main reason I have been looking at NZXT is my motherboard (Z390 Pro4 by ASRock) does not have an ARGB or even RGB header. I’ve been relying on NZXT Cam and their fan/RGB controller to do the job. If there’s a way to connect the aio you recommend though with full functionality, I’d love to use that instead. Thank you!
@@gwsbatovIn that instance, The Prism is not a great choice. In your case, choosing something like the Kraken or a Lian Li Gallahad would be required for RGB control. Essentially any AIO that comes with a controller that connects to your motherboards USB headers at the bottom of your board. Your ASRock absolutely has them. When RGB is connected like this through USB, you can control it with the software from the company that makes the AIO. Then you do not need to connect any 3 pin at all. This is universal for RGB control. 3 pin means it will be controller by motherboard software. USB means it will be controller by the cooler or fans manufacturer software.
