While not the biggest fan of Lovecraft, I do love that his mythos has attracted so much fresh and original material. Great work beautifully delivered, as always. Thanks Ian. 👌
Thanks to YT for not putting this in my notifications tab even though I have the bell set to "All".😮💨 And actual genuine thanks to you Ian for all of your hard work, and to you Jen for all the support you provide. You two are a dream team!😄 Also in the back of my head all I can hear is Bob Davie singing about this Green Door.😂
Fun fact. The film "Behind the Green Door" is an adaptation of this story. Through a strange series of events involving a hot tub time machine, the film’s director had initially been trying to make a faithful horror adaptation of this story from the future. Of course, early 1970s Hollywood being Hollywood, it was rejected over and over for not being mainstream, and passed through the hands of many producers and screenwriters, until finally it was made into an ‘adult drama’ with a plot that bore no relationship whatever to the source material.
Im here and ready for more mystery horror and lore of our strange world. Its hard to imagine this world without it all xo :) cheers and thankyou for sharing ♎🌏🌈🍭🥶❤😅
you know its getting dreadfully real when there are mindless bench sitters staring in their smartphone in a story - the otherwordly, virtually normalized - scary stuff.
I really enjoyed that story called The house that Remembered the other night. Absolutely fantastic xo I love our some of the stories connect xo. This is gonna be a real treat cheers and thankyou Ian Gordon xo
That was great ! I really enjoyed it. The only other thing I can say, is that if that was the green door Mr Stevens was going on about, I'm not surprised he was shakin' lol.
This story was excellent today. I am fascinated by different colored doors. However, that Green door was quite terrifying. Amazing narration. Thank you ❤️🤗🌟
Great story and narration! I like how you refer to one of your other stories. This narration is so good. I like the conversation between the guys on the street. Yeah, nothin' like a' good new mythos story.
Well you sent me on a google maps goose chase down mosely street looking for a green door! And then I stumbled across another site, one maps personal hobby to catalogue all the underground tunnels, vaults and forgotten spaces of Manchester! Great story Ian. As always. 🎉
Quite a coinkydink. Few days ago walked in old part of town and suddenly fixated on a door. "Good Lord! How old is it?" It was almost ancient. But mine was red... at least it was red many years ago.
Azoth the only time I've ever heard this word is in one of my old ps2 games called Haunting grounds a game made by Capcom. Azoth is what the pursuers call Fiona the main female protagonist as they chase her through the castles.
I'm so glad Ian Gordon is not a doctor. Imagine him telling a patient in that voice. "your results have arrived and unfortunately we have to talk about the... prognosis."
My second lusten, and I think my favourite element is the harmonic between the ethereal and the decayed modern world. Like a better Horror at Red Hook.
Warren’s status is unclear. As a contestant on _Let’s Make a Deal_ he had the choice between a 2024 Toyota Tundra with all the extras or whatever lay behind Door Number 3. In a fit of FOMO, Warren chose Door Number 3. The Door Number 3 prize consisted of an all expenses paid vacation to Carcosa with immediate departure and return TBD. The audience cheered as the squamous yellow tentacles seized Warren and dragged him kicking and screaming through the door.
Ian never fails to give me something to listen while on my route. You have a truck drivers appreciation good sir.
Thanks for what you do from Arizona
As surely as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, so does Warren die every intro. He has one job, and dammit he does it well.
While not the biggest fan of Lovecraft, I do love that his mythos has attracted so much fresh and original material.
Great work beautifully delivered, as always.
Thanks Ian. 👌
Well Done Ian, I really enjoy these orginal works a lot!! That was really cool! Cheers sir!
IAN 😊 your original content is always the best!!

Another excellent original story, Ian! Your stories never fail to entertain - and frighten!
Thank you Ian, and thank you Rick. If I see a green door I will know I'm in a pickle... (that was a great story!!!)
Perfect timing. I was just looking for something to listen to. ❤
I always feel so lucky when that happens!
interesting title -Diving now for a listen right now - The title reminds me of a "classic " movie
If we are thinking about the same "classic" movie.........I'm sure Ian will manage to "rise" to the occasion.😁 Fnar Fnar!!!!
Great !

the truth is finally revealed Thank you

I absolutely love your channel.your staff does an important service💙☮️☯️
You know, given how recently Warren died, you don’t have to call me a fool for not knowing. Rude.
I know, right? Plus Warren was always hanging out with weird people and taking dumb-a** chances. No wonder he packed it in!
😅
The Statement of Randolph Carter first saw print in 1919. I wouldn't exactly call that recent (at least in terms of human reckoning).
😂😂😂
Ok it getting old
you know its getting dreadfully real when there are mindless bench sitters staring in their smartphone in a story - the otherwordly, virtually normalized - scary stuff.
Warren! Don't open that green... crap, nevermind.
I really enjoyed that story called The house that Remembered the other night. Absolutely fantastic xo I love our some of the stories connect xo. This is gonna be a real treat cheers and thankyou Ian Gordon xo
Thank you for the story!
Just what I need right now! Thnx!
That was great ! I really enjoyed it. The only other thing I can say, is that if that was the green door Mr Stevens was going on about, I'm not surprised he was shakin' lol.
Thanks for this Ian. Only thing more scary than a closed door...an open one. 'By their stench shall ye know them...'
I agree. Great fast characterisation.
Thank you Mr. Gordon..Great job.
Great job Ian and HB! Thank you! 💙
Wow, I'm first! EXCELLENT!!! Love ya Ian!❤
And I'm second, but still very early.
Well you sent me on a google maps goose chase down mosely street looking for a green door! And then I stumbled across another site, one maps personal hobby to catalogue all the underground tunnels, vaults and forgotten spaces of Manchester! Great story Ian. As always. 🎉
Sounds useful. What's the name?
And now my day is complete
Warren! I had no idea!
Gather round, kiddies, while Uncle Ian tells you a story. Is it scary? Now, now, would Uncle Ian tell you a scary story. He-he
Again warren? Really?
He's incorrigible really...
Quite a coinkydink.
Few days ago walked in old part of town and suddenly fixated on a door.
"Good Lord! How old is it?" It was almost ancient.
But mine was red... at least it was red many years ago.
Excellent tale!
Fantastic work, Ian. Loved this one.
0:56 i hope there is an old piano playing hot behind the door.
So sweet! 🍯
Love the new opening
Incredible narration and visuals.
I think Shakin’ Stevens may be able to shed some light on this.
really nice work! i like how you usually give a nod to HPL in your stories :)
That part of the city looks like scenery out of Gilliam's Brazil...
Mind the Gap...
Thanks Ian, great work.
I just love how some stories pounce on some unsuspecting author to get themselves told.
In fact sometimes that's exactly what happens, more on that later.
Well done Ian the build up and excellant ending. Well enjoyed .
Awesome Ian. One of the best. Van Melsen would be proud. I wonder where did you found spanakopita.
Azoth the only time I've ever heard this word is in one of my old ps2 games called Haunting grounds a game made by Capcom. Azoth is what the pursuers call Fiona the main female protagonist as they chase her through the castles.

Great story. I listened to “The Fear Experiment “ last night also. Great stories 👍🏻💯
Thanks!
Thank you very much!
Thank you for helping to keep the channel and the stories coming.
I love stories set in (and below) Manchester. Thank you for this one.
There's an old piano and it's playing hot behind...
Thanks very enjoyable
Inspiration from "Behind the Green Door", which is a genre classic?
wouldn't that be just so COOL?
Which genre? 🫢
From the classic Marilyn Chambers Collection? Lol
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!😊
Piccadilly Gardens? With no Charles Veitch? Is our protagonist one of the crackheads?
Fantastic man. Love what you do x
Another great story !!! Thank you 😊 Amazing voice too 😊
It seems kind of "King in Yellow" adjacent. Not because of the color reference but that knowledge, once obtained is damning.
Safe to say Warren's disappearance within that dank fetid sepulchre will never be Harley' forgotten ✌😆
I was worried Shakin Stevens was going to show up
Can't wait to find out what's behind the green door!
I enjoyed this story. Thank you.
If you want another subterranean Lovecraftian story "Naomi" by Douglas Clegg is spectacular.
Not heard of it. Nice one.
Cool another original story.
I love the red brick artwork.
Wow! Cracking
What a wonderful and chilling tale! 😲👻🐙☠😎
My second lusten, and I think my favourite element is the harmonic between the ethereal and the decayed modern world. Like a better Horror at Red Hook.
very enjoyable
Is that a harpsichord I hear? Good music intro theme😊thanks Ian and Jen!😎

A green door, eh? I wonder if Miss Chambers is behind it. 😏
I thought of that movie too! 1973 , I think, and apparently she was Insatiable too😉
Great story, Ian!! 👏
Shakin' Stevens knows...
Another great Original 🤝
I hope Warren is ok.
If by Ok you mean dead, then Warren is fine 😮
@@jeffhaley2706 eep
Well written, well read. Full of creepy dread!
Have you submitted any short stories, poetry, or novels to the competitions, Ian?
Now, might be a good time.
I hope Shakey's in it!
If you ever visit Napa, California, I know just the bar to recommend to you...
I started listening thinking it was going to be The Door in the Wall by H G Wells.
Nice work, sir
Good story, but a very long e mail.
This is not the same "behind the green door" as my parents' generation remembers! 🤪
Great story
✌️
I was told Marilyn Chambers would be here...
The real question is what will fit through the green glass door
Perfection❤❤
So this story is about what's Behind the Green door?
Where is Van Melsen when you need him, eh?
Kevin Turvey, The man behind the green door..
😉
Ah, Warren
💙☮️☯️
An old piano?
What would Shaky say?
A bird with teeth? A dragon?
Archaeopteryx ,?
Bird?
From Charlie's dream?
The real horror is living in Manchester.
👍
Green Door what that Secret your keeping?
This is great
