    I moved to Kimberley in 1981 as a piano teacher - for 2 or 3 years, haha. It's now 40. We used to hear/feel periodic explosions from miles underground. The mine is long gone now.

    Closed her a few years back now.talk of a parallel find a bit ago but nothing ive heard since.

    The C. M. & S. building still stands, now as the home of several stores.

    I'm moving to Kimberly next year for 3 year job building in Marysville.
    I know where the gold came from on Perry Creek. I'll be staking a claim in that valley next year. I was exploring there this past summer for 3 weeks Alone.

      Hi, I've done a bunch of work in Perry Creek over the years. Its an intriguing area. If you ever want to compare notes let me know please. Have you ever been up to Gold Run Lake ..... Beautiful spot. Cheers

    Odd feeling to sit in my 1937-built house; in countless other mining towns, it would have been abandoned to eventual collapse as the settlements died with their mines.
