Jun: Not only is your playing very controlled with an equally gentle touch, the sound levels are very low and quite. :) And THAT is the way it should be....because that is what makes ALL of your films so "easy on the ears". Bravo. :) Antoine
Hello Jun. Always a pleasure to listen to your arrangements, so relaxing at the end of the day. Love the warm tone which does not sacrifice the notes definition. That’s not easy to achieve. Beautiful soft touch. I am a (struggling ^^) jazz guitarist still searching for my preferred way of playing jazz. And I think your style will be in my influences. May I ask you one thing regarding your tone ? Do you have to have the amp quite loud in the room to achieve it, or you can play play relatively quietly (compared to an acoustic guitar level softly played for instance) Many thanks from 🇫🇷
Thanks for watching and commenting. Sorry for the late reply. To answer your question. The amp may need to be somewhat louder, but if it is too loud it will be difficult to play. It shouldn't. You need to turn it up a little louder and then control the dynamics with your hands. As for the amp settings, they will vary in different situations. Is the room big enough? Is it small? Does it resonate? Does it not? And so on. So you need lots of experience. I am worried that this message is coming across accurately to you because I am using translation software. If you have more questions, feel free to contact me. jsatsuma_imo@yahoo.co.jp I wish you a wonderful jazz guitar life!
Been listening to your arrangement since it came out, love your style of jazz chord-melody playing.
Thanks for watching and commenting. It is very encouraging.
