@@Terminal-Thought-Experiment And by "modding" I mean researching, downloading, installing and trying to get it all working properly. Love, love, love this video which helps a new modder, like myself, to learn more about the mods available, and which ones work well and play better in the sandbox! I truly appreciate the amount of work you have put into this vid! Thanks again!
It's been 6 years since I last played Skyrim (for the 2nd time after its initial launch.) I guess I'm installing it again having seen this so thanks for the video! :D I have a sneaking suspicion it'll be a busy second half of the year with gaming for me, since I also installed (Open) Morrowind and Daggerfall (Unity) with mods. It's mental what people have made for this series lately!
Love the video, a bit of a long suggestion but while you were covering these mods, I noticed a lot of things I like such as your Whiterun, its a lot more luscious so if you could tell me that mod I would be grateful! I use JK's Skyrim but LOVE luscious floral environments. The actual suggestion: Make your own modlist video and go in depth or give a brief description of the mod. I personally love longer videos but I understand the time and effort that goes into them. I subscribed as I cant wait to see many more videos from you!
I'm using Whiterun Trees alongside Happy Little Trees. The HD plants are a courtesy of Mari's Flora. The problem I have with True HUD is that it cancels out the balance bar added by Inpa Sekiro combat mod, and it's the base of my combat overhaul haha. But if you can use true hud it looks great
I wish the true directional movement mod was easy to install, shit doesn't work unless you install it's 50 thousand "optional" mods. Sat up for 4 hours last night installing all of them just to have my game crash on launch
I just started my journey in pc gaming and modding a few months ago and i really enjoy the mods you have made, i am very grateful for mod authors like yourself that have brought much more enjoyment to games like skyrim for noobs such as myself thank you.
luckily the mods of skyrim (and Fallout) never stop, almost every day there are new ones and in 2022 we can count at least 100 new ones per game that are worth starting to play these games again :)
Yeah it's crazy, mods somehow keep progressively getting better year over year. I hope Bethesda is paying attention and introduces some of the mod concepts from these games into future installments
+1 for permanent Winter. Looks great. Great modlist and I'll get the first 4. (just not a fan of the airbrushed model look most character overhauls do) I've looked at Seasons before but it never occured to me that you could just set it to permanently set it to your favorite season. And I usually don't play in third person but with TDM, I just might give that playstyle another try.
Thanks :), that means a lot coming from another creator. Also I don't think you should sell yourself short, from what I've seen of your channel your editing, narration, and mod selection are all great. I know you didn't ask for advice, but when it comes to improving your editing skills, I would say just aim to improve in at least one aspect from your last video and try to pick up at least one new editing technique each time.

Great mods. Could you do a in depth tutorial on how to work through mod compatibility for those of us with moderate modding experience. For example how to update mode. And fix some issues with determining compatibility. I downloaded a mod list from ESO with 350+ mods. It works great but I'd love some features from your vids. But I'm not sure of compatibility issues with his list. Great mods btw. Earned a like and sub. Thanks for the great mods and time it takes to make these videos.
Great video. is that dodge you're doing at 4:58 part of the True Direction Movement mod? is that something else. also, is this all controller friendly? I use a xbox remote on my pc lol
6:25 I've been looking for this mod for over 10 years. I even wrote everywhere about this idea, in the hope that someone will do it. "Arrow trajectory\Arrow flight path" I even suggested how to do it in a bad but easy way by simply attaching a ray to the texture in the form of a trajectory. To a bow or arrow. Now, 10 years later, I happen to see this.
Does anyone know if true direction movement is available for Xbox Series? Or a similar mod that is? I'm trying to go through and fix my game play with I order of: mechanics, NPC's, visuals, audio.

I am brand new to the channel and doing my first TRUE run of modding skyrim on pc ( i dabbled in it on xbox one) I have been modding Fallout 4 for years now and finally decided to give it a go on Skyrim. I always preferred to play 3rd person in Oblivion as I like to see my character with the cool armors and stuff. ANYWAY. Do you cover True Directional Movement in more detail in another video. Your clips seem to have your character doing things that I don't think are a part of TDM ( though I have had TDM installed for like one fight against a wolf so far) Your video shows your character sidestepping kind of like Breath of the Wild. Doing a running dive roll and some cool shield rush animation. Those are not vanilla actions right? But i see no controls guide in the MCM for TDM. So what other mod are you using in that video to add those things?
Ok I am an idiot. been so long since I played skyrim. I guess those things ARE vanilla. Your character just has to learn them? Or at least digging through google search shows an unlockable doge roll and a shield rush thing. not sure if that is what you are showing in the clip. Sorry

For the Dodge I use Dodge - Modern Combat Overhaul which is an exclusive mod from Distar's Patreon, but there are a ton of different dodge mods available for free on the Nexus that accomplish a similar effect.
Honestly i would love mods that enhance how skyrim looks and follow already set lore i have seen mods where Dunmer don't even look like themselves their skin has become pale like an altmer's which makes me upset but updating the features to look more like the Legends look would be cool also i would love the reintroduction of spells that are canonically in ESU aka Elderscrolls universe. Also I want more stuff in skyrim because even if Morrowind declared independence they still trade with the Empire so in skyrim you should actually find Kwama eggs, Saltrice and other Common goods also there should be a Levitation spell to be had in Winterhold since the College there is free from the Mage's guild's ban on the spell
Damn dude, your gameplay looks completely different than what I have right now and I have 1249 mods installed. (Honesty have no Idea if that is a lot or not) Do you have a modlist somewhere so I can make my game look exactly like what is in this video? Or are the 4 mods and the one guys overhauls that you talked about in the video all that I need to achieve this?
I love how modders are still improving on this game, I also do have a request, I would like some help in further working out the issues that my modded skyrim has going on with it, mainly with things being severely occluded, lighting issues, probably simple fixes, but I've just been having issues in general with them. It would be greatly apreciated if someone could look over my mod list and help to discern if there's a way that it can be streamlined.
I feel like they should release or update Skyrim so that the graphics and animations and everything is so much better and Modders can have even more to build more off of.
Over a decade later and modders are still improving Skyrim. Probably half the reason Bethesda keep re-releasing it 😄
🙄😅
If they cared about modders they would have never released Anniversary edition. That just threw a wrench in many peoples work

Are these mod on Xbox or PC only?
I love how modders are still improving on this game, I also do have a request, I would like some help in further working out the issues that my modded skyrim has going on with it, mainly with things being severely occluded, lighting issues, probably simple fixes, but I've just been having issues in general with them. It would be greatly apreciated if someone could look over my mod list and help to discern if there's a way that it can be streamlined.
post them on skyrim reddit. A lot of guys there are extremely helpful
great vid , just wanted to ask you what is that graphic mod that you are using
Are these mods for the original version only or do they work for the Special Edition as well? Tk!
I feel like they should release or update Skyrim so that the graphics and animations and everything is so much better and Modders can have even more to build more off of.
The Madseasoncow of Skyrim. Rock on bud.
