Like everyone else I would recommend Superfruit, Mario, Brian Justin Crum and Mary Lambert’s cover of KatyPerry’s “Rise”. It is out of this world! This duet is beautiful.
Scott loves to highlight other musicians, and this is wonderful. It was Scott's idea to set Lost on You to Hans Zimmer's Inception. Brilliant!
The piece is actually called "Time" but yes it's in Inception.
Fun fact that Scott stood with his legs spread out in an A frame in this performance to bring both into the shot as Scott is so much taller than Mario.
That always makes me laugh thinking of this. He's like... halfway to a split throughout this video!
Mario is a friend of both Scott and Mitch and was a tour assistant with PTX . I believe they encouraged him in performing and somewhere there is a YT video of Scott and Mitch getting teary eyed listening from backstage. GREAT human beings.

This is just a tribute to how all of the PTX family love on each other. The guy (Mario) was a behind the scenes guy. They, collectively encouraged and used "the band" resources to put Mario out there. It really is a team effort in the entire PTX 5 and the "family" behind the scenes. They are a beautiful picture of how people should love and respect each other. They are truly cheering EVERY person ON!! To be the best they can be. ❤
It’s true. They flew in his parents to surprise him and then told him he was opening for PTX. I love these people.

Scott is 6'4", Mario is shorter, yet Scott was belting his heart out! Scott wanted Mario to shine, and that he did!
Mario and Scott are very close friends. Scott is always the first to do collaborations and immediately make the other person shine. He wants everyone to succeed and especially someone as special as Mario.
I read this in the Daily Dot : Mario Jose, Pentatonix’s tour assistant, is also a phenomenal singer. The group surprised him before the Boston leg and asked him to be their opening act. They even flew in his parents for the special occasion. The moment is emotional, with the rest of the crew and band tearing up as Jose sings to a sold-out arena crowd.

Mario was an assistant on an early PTX tour. He was so good that the group arranged for him to open one of their shows as a surprise. Flew in his family to watch. Band watched from the side and cried.

Echoing comments here, definitely check out their cover of Rise. It's EPIC. But to add to that.....there are 2 videos with Mario & a couple other vocalists that give me goosies EVERY TIME. One is Have You Ever (I believe with Matt Bloyd & Vincint Cannady) & the other is One Last Time ( with Vincint & another gentleman who's name is escaping me lol). Both are otherworldly & the harmonies GIVE ME LIFE!!!
I got to meet Mario at Pentacon a few years ago, he is one of the nicest guys...and of course, Scott is the kindest member!!

Whew, nice to see this one again, it's been awhile since I've viewed it. So powerful. Mario is a beast, Scott came up with the brilliant arrangement: Hans Zimmer's score "Time" from the movie Inception (you mentioned cinematic :) with LPs lyrics laid over. It's breathtaking. Thanks!
Can we stop a moment and appreciate the sheer musical genius of combining the orchestral track from Inception with a cover of Lost On You? How would you ever even NOTICd that “Time” provides the PERFECT background for the song. The dynamics, the swells at the crescendo - it all fits perfectly. I’m just stumped.
It is the genius musical brain of Scott, he is astonishing
And a little back story Scott couldn’t get the lyrics out of his head (originally by LP) and decided to slow it down a bit and add of all music Hans Zimmer in the background this piece is from the movie inception. Brilliant. And that’s how I also found LP ( laura pergolizzi) please please check her out she’s on a different level
When Scott watches someone sing it’s because he’s so impressed and lets them have their moment. He does it all the time when Mitch sings.
The guys from PTX are big on mentoring people they encounter who have strong talent and knowledge but never got the chance to break into any fame and notice. They bring them on to perform with them knowing that people who are searching for other work done by them will also expose the people they find that have great talent.

I just commented the same thing lol!!! That one, and then "One Last Time" with Mario, Vincint (also in Have You Ever) & another gentleman. I go back to watch both of those at least once a month lol!

Mario did vocals for the live Encanto show at the Hollywood Bowl, and I've seen him doing background vocals on The Voice. He's incredible!
