happy sunday guys & happy vlogmas day 4!!!!! hope you enjoy the vlog! what's your fave piece from my J crew haul?!?! I can't stop thinking about that dresssss 😍😍
so inlove with the dress and the pjs!! I’ve never even looked at jcrew until I saw your last haul and I’ve been eager to order 😅 if you ever have discount codes for them please let us know 🙏🙏
I love that the j crew “ad” totally went with the whole vibe of the video.. holiday clothes, changing your closet.. it was a very nice flowy video.. this is why you’re elite. LOVE. ✨
Hi! Do you know the name of the black dress? I've been searching the comments to see if this was already answered and the J Crew website but can't find it 😭
I’m in the same boat as you, I have an unusual fear of driving , and I’m 28 years old. I hate driving, it freaks me out and scares me. I don’t have a car either. Sometimes anxiety manifests itself in weird ways, and it ok ☺️🖤 There’s no need to rush it, and it’s ridiculous people won’t leave you alone about driving 🙄 it does not affect them in any way.
I got my licence when i was 24 (I have Cerebral Palsy and didn't think that it was possible UNTIL one day i felt brave enough to randomly sit my Permit Test 😂and get professional 'driving with a disability' lessons) .. I must say that i don't enjoy driving like most of my friends and family do and i don't drive far or every day (or every week for that matter 🙈) BUT i do LOVE the freedom of just driving down to my local shops easily without having to think about public transport.
Totally understand the driving thing. Living in Toronto, there's almost no need for a car between rideshare and transit plus parking in the city even if you weren't drinking is the biggest hassle!
I didn't drive until I had my daughter, at 32. I lived in TO, and it was super unnecessary, and whenever I got behind the wheel I was REALLY anxious about it (and for some reason, my contact lenses always seemed to dry out just as I entered the highway 🙄). Kiddo is 10 now, and I LOVE to drive, in any conditions. 2am down a country road in a snowstorm? I love that shit. Anything is possible when the time is right.
@@theresag.4188 I do feel pretty awesome behind the wheel. It has become my seat of power. But now I'm anxious about other things - things I never used to worry about! Life's funny.
I’m feeling spoiled getting to watch your vlogs everyday 🥰 I imagine all the editing you gotta do is a pain in the butt! I really thank you for your effort!!
Tara, you are not alone in being afraid to drive. I started taking driver's Ed when I was 15-16. Everything was ok until my last driving practice with the instructor. A guy plowed into us (rear-ended) and I was a nervous wreck after that. I've driven a lot since, but thankfully moved to Europe where I can walk, cycle, and take public transport. I'm 28 and am still afraid to drive again.
Girllll there is nothing wrong with choosing not to own a car! They’re expensive and a lot of work and if you know it’s not justified with your lifestyle, I think you’re being smart!! Always love your honesty and practicality. Such a wonderful UA-camr. 💕💕💕 love you!!
I feel you with the driving anxiety. I've struggled with it a lot and I still do sometimes. But as someone that had to push through the anxiety and bad experiences, I can say it got better every time I drove. So, whenever you decide that you need a car, just know that it gets easier day by day :)
I also had fear and anxiety when it came to driving or being in a vehicle, in general. Same sort of situation. I learned how to drive, I was good at it. I did it a lot before I had my kids (I became pregnant with my twins at 15). It just made me extremely anxious and carsick. The fear intensified immensely after having my babies though, with the thought of something happening with my kids in the car. So, I just quit driving all together. I didn’t decide to drive again until I was 30. I got my license and my first car at 30. I drive every day now, but I still get anxious and carsick every single time (it’s still extreme when I’m a passenger). I cannot get into a vehicle without Dramamine in my system and my motion sickness bracelets on each wrist. And I ALWAYS have Dramamine and an extra pair of bracelets in my purse.
Hey tara! You have no idea how comforting it is to hear that you do not drive, I'm 19 and people around me keep asking me when I'm gonna get my license and when I'm gonna start driving. It gets really annoying sometimes when people keep asking about my business, like its not the end of the world If I don't drive?! I also find that it has come to the point of just anger because I get asked about it so much. You have made me realize that I am not alone in this :) Thank you so much Tara
My mom's 77 years old, and just like you, she has a license for ID purposes, but chooses not to own a car or drive. You absolutely can get by as long as you wish without ever driving yourself. Separate note: That J crew dress is phenomenal!
I totally respect your driving anxiety. It's funny how different things give people anxiety. I could never make a video of myself and post it for millions of people to see, so for that I think you are extra brave Tara.
I started driving late due to a lack of support system to teach me. I got my 1st car at 24. I live in NJ so it's definitely a necessity. But I agree with you it can be anxious & annoying with other ppl on the road, who are careless. If you feel like it's not necessity for you then I think that's great.
girl i don’t even work from home and i don’t drive! even the thought of getting behind the wheel makes me sweat and so freaking nervous!!!! i’ve never really had anyone to teach me either so i need lessons. i’m only 19 and have my L but one day i’ll face my fears! i feel like this is something we should talk about more cause the struggle is REAL.
Thank you for sharing about your driving anxiety! I don't drive either because of my driving anxiety. I used to feel embarrassed by it but not anymore, that's just a part of who I am and people should not shame others for not driving! It is comforting to know there are other people with my anxiety! Thanks for sharing!
Me too! 😭 I've let it define me for so many years and felt so much shame around it. It sounds stupid cuz it's only driving but it been this huge thorn on my side. Seeing all these people who dont drive either makes me feel better. People just dont understand the deep fear that comes with it.
I used to get so so anxious driving when I first started but I pushed through and now I sometimes enjoy it! I know you don’t need to drive now but one day in the future I know you will be able to do it and not have anxiety about it anymore! You’re the best! Love your vlogs!
Tara there is no shame in not wanting to drive! My daughter is a lil older than you and she had an accident in her teen years she still to this day only drives when absolutely necessary. She goes to therapy but still has ptsd 12 yrs later. She told me the other day her husband drives her everywhere even to work. I had hoped it would get better for her but she lives in Houston which has horrible drivers and lots of traffic. You have wonderful parents and lovingly are there for you when you need it. You are blessed and beautiful inside and out! 💕
Ohhh girl I totally feel you on the driving thing! I'm 30 and I currently live in LA County and I HATE driving soooo much! I've been really blessed to be able to work from home for the past almost 2 years so that took out a lot of the driving I had to do (30 miles each way on the 405) but whenever I do need to get on the freeway, especially at night or in the rain but honestly just anytime, I'm just a huge ball of stress! I'm totally confident in my driving but I really just don't trust other people ESPECIALLY in LA and on the freeways! I can't wait to live somewhere where I can walk or bike everywhere hahah
I’m 100% on the same page about driving, I have so much anxiety when it comes to driving and nerves. I moved to a small town without public transportation so I had to get a car but I still avoid driving when I’m not going to work.
I have been driving 12 years and never been on a motorway (highway ) 😵 Your right though, you should face these things in your own time. Love your home and so glad your channel was reccomended to me. X🌲
I think something people who aren’t familiar with the area don’t realize is that many many people who live in Toronto don’t own cars.. there’s public transit, ubers, taxis, so many things available and parking many places around the city is just not easy. My cousin lives in the city and doesn’t even have his license! What you’re doing is practical and works for you so don’t sweat it!
don't push yourself when getting a car, even with a small family it's totally manageable! there's public transit, renting, rideshare, and even if you rideshare all the time, it's still cheaper compared to owning a car. My suggestion tho is to get your full G, instead of letting your G1 or G2 expire! Happy Holidays Tara, Jared, Mitch, and Marcy! Keep up the vlogmas vibes alive here in Toronto!
i totally understand your driving fears and anxiety! i have them too! i used to uber or walk everywhere when i lived in city. i moved during covid to a more rural place, where i needed to be able to drive. i actually just got my full driver’s license at 29 years of age and i have no shame about it.
Okay the black dress WOW! 😍 Definitely date worthy! Also the view of you standing in front of the mirror with your kitchen in the corner and the tree in the other is just so beautiful and cozy 🥺
Totally know how you feel about driving! My friends and family are always asking me when I will be getting my license! I just get nervous every time I am behind the wheel!
YK ITS A GOOD DAY WHEN TARA UPLOADS!! tara i’ve been watching you for years it’s been crazy to see you grow and grow with you! thank you for making the holidays 100x better w your vlogs!
Are your counter tops quartz? If so Windex could be hazardous for it and take away the shine. You can try a quartz countertop daily cleaner witch you can find at Home Depot or Amazon.
The black dress is so sophisticated and classic. Unbelievably gorgeous. As for the automobile issue, do not ever be swayed by the promoters, who will never pay for your purchase, maintenance, gas, insurance, etc. Especially your anxiety, not their issue to comment upon. Put that way out of your mind, Sweetness!
Just curious, do you make the foam cold to help cool down your coffee? I find it never gets as foamy on the cold setting but sometimes the coffee is too hot haha
I usually make my coffee and milk at the same time then let it cool down. But I get you, my patience is low... I just wanna drink my coffee asap when I wake up 😅
i’m in my finals week rn, and i’ve been watching ur videos while waking up/ eating breakfast and then jills to reward myself after studying!! these are so motivating but still calming and i’m LOVING seeing ur house come together 💕💕
The driving thing is the complete opposite for me 😅 The only time I don't feel anxious is when I'm behind the wheel and on the road. This made me realize I need to be more empathetic to my mom who feels the way you do. It's starting to snow - everyone please be safe on the roads! Make sure your friends and family do the same 💞
About the driving thing: I was 18 when I got my licence for the first time. Waited YEARS to get my G2, and then waited even longer to get my full G. I didn't want to drive for the same reasons as you - makes me frickin NERVOUS lmao. If I could get by in my little rural town without a car, I would buuuut living in the country makes that hard hahaha
Tara, you’re not alone in the driving aspect. I’m 25 and still don’t have a license. I have anxiety as well, and I’ve tried driving and it’s just not for me at this point in my life. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad about it.
I have major anxiety while driving. And I get panic as well. Its always something I work threw and it can become a hindrance at times for me. I push myself threw .At times I can't. Its whatever that works for you .
I agree, I have a truck and I live in downtown Toronto, but it’s really unnecessary. Everything is walking distance, and it’s expensive lol I am going to give my truck to my mom in February. She will have much more use for it. I’ll stick to my presto card LoL Have a good day Tara ✨
I love it when you say...I love this sweater..it's one I can wear from year to year for a long time...Really Tara...what is the oldest piece of clothing you have right now in your closet...lol...the way you get clothing sponsors and your shopping..a continuous cycle of new clothes...and..WHY NOT..you have earned them...way to go.. Love your office...Christmas decor is so beautiful..can't wait to see the railing decorated...love you...
When I was 16 my brother was killed while driving. Won't go into fort details but I don't drive until I was a mother and had so many Dr apt etc for the kids. Go at your own pace. Loving vlogmas!
I’m 26 and I don’t drive for pretty much the same reasons! It’s just so scary to me, every time I am behind the wheel I just feel like I want to cry. I know it seems odd to most people but I am glad there are more of us out there.
Please don't let people make you feel bad. I have been driving since I was a teen, but I get so so anxious. I do need to drive because I work really far from home plus I've got 3 teens that need to be taken to school. But sometimes my anxiety levels get on the verge of panic. One of my sons feels like you. So my dear Tara Michelle keep thinking like you so, because it's what's best for you.
Tara: *opens a coat closet filled with coats* "Idk if this is embarassing.." Me: *has piles of clothes on the floor of my closets* hahahah ur so cute tara!!
Love! I just love seeing how genuinely grounded and happy you are. Question... Why did you blur your bags??? I found that super eye catching and then I couldn't figure out why you wanted to lol
A tiny pinch of sea salt in black coffee cuts the acidity. Just in case you wanted another way to try black coffee. I did it until I was used to the flavor, though I also know what notes I dislike in my coffee and don’t buy those pods.
Legit get you girl!! My husband and I sold our 2nd car because neither of us was driving it (or needed it for that matter). Feels so good and it's so much less expensive for us to ride share when we need the 2nd car!
Same here....I didn't get my license till my mom passed away and she kept MD here Camaro..I was almost 25...I felt Anxiety!! I lived in a City and I walked, Rode Public, etc....My dear friend from Jr high/High School same for her too! When your ready you'll know.😊No rush!
I feel you so much. My parents have been bugging me to learn to drive for almost a decade now, I'm turning 27 in a few weeks. My office is located in my hometown and I currently work remotely. Public transportation is one of the best as well and everything is so accessible like restos, grocery stores, drugstores, markets, banks. Every single on those are found with a kilometer's range from my house.
I’m with your parents on this one. You should learn to drive even if you don’t ever have to do it. It’s a good skill to have and be comfortable with doing just in case of an emergency.
Ok I don’t know if this is just me but I have to have a separate spot in my closet for all of my hangers. I’m not sure if this is just overboard OCD or what but my husband thinks I’m crazy for it.
Thank you for being honest. There is no rush to get driving if you arent comfortable. I'm the same and we are abouy the same age and people always want to push. No, do it at your own pace when you are ready. 😊
I have anxiety over driving too!!! I make my boyfriend pick me up to go to his place and since I still live with my parents my mom drives me a lot. I can drive to work cause I’m comfortable with my route but if it’s new and unknowing as well as any highway or heavy traffic I get very panicked
Yup same I don’t want to drive. Although everyone else in my life keeps telling me to get my license. They don’t understand how terrifying driving is to me. I can’t trust myself on the road since I get supper anxious/nervous. I rather pay someone to drive me around.
I’m a huge black coffee drinker and i normally like strong coffee. But ever since getting my nespresso over a year ago i’ve had the hardest time drinking any of their coffees black. Starbucks has a line for the nespresso and even those i have to water down a little bit haha
I don't drive either, for much the same reasons... it's just not something that's comfortable to me; it also makes me feel anxious. I have driven and I do hold a Learners License, but I've never gone for my full Drivers. Growing up, I lived in a small city and could walk everywhere, after that I moved to Calgary for a few years and transit was all that I needed to get wherever I needed to go. The only time having a my own car would be something I'd like is when I want to go somewhere at the spur of the moment and I just want to hop in and go rather than wait for a cab or whatever, or have to get someone else to pick me up. Otherwise, at nearly 54 years old I've never really longed for my own car. ;)
I got a 2018 GMC Yukon Denali XL for my Birthday that year. We call her That Thing. She’s got 12K miles on her. I’ve got room for grand babies, but Covid has limited our travels and ability to be with them, so I really have no need to go anywhere, hence the low mileage. We have 2 other vehicles, one is a sedan my husband commutes to work in. His truck sees a lot of miles because we tow our camping equipment and tractors with that. Personally, I don’t drive in city traffic. We live in a rural area. If I can’t ship it, I don’t really need it, and our local stores can fill in the blanks. I have extreme anxiety in city or interstate traffic. Anything medical I have to travel into St Louis for, my husband goes with me for and we take the sedan. If I absolutely must, I can and will do what’s necessary to drive anywhere, but thus far what we do works for us. Until such time it doesn’t, there’s zero shame. Do what is best for you!
I understand the driving thing. I grew up In Boston Massachusetts and never felt the need to or want to learn to drive. I moved to Florida at the age of 48 and got my license and 1st car because it is much needed here in Florida. I was afraid at first but now better 5yrs later😊
I didn't get a driver's license until I turned 30 due to my fears. I have anxiety and still won't drive anywhere I'm not familiar with but I manage for work purposes. You do you!
You are not alone on your anxiety with driving. I did not start driving until I was twenty and I am always anxious driving. People are idiots out where I live. My anxiety is worse when all the snow birds come out here because there are way more people on the freeway. Out here you wake up one morning and ask yourself where all these people came from

Love how you showed the clothes on you when you got new pieces!!
THAT DRESS!! I may get it for my holiday party at work. We are going to the Deer Valley Montage resort in park city, UT!!!! Never been so boujie
Tara needs more bright red pieces in her wardrobe! Totally her colour, amazing 😍😍🥰🥰❤️❤️
the black dress gave Rachel from friends vibes!!! so cute!!
Perfect Sunday,18+ minutes ofTara Michelle vlogmass hot chocolate Christmas movies in the back ground 😍
Ahhhhh I’m so happy it’s vlogmas, love seeing a new video everyday. The Christmas decorations are amazing :)
I have major anxiety while driving. And I get panic as well. Its always something I work threw and it can become a hindrance at times for me. I push myself threw .At times I can't. Its whatever that works for you .
I just love this time of year like the cozy/winter vibes are soo joyful and exciting. Luv you Tara ❤️
Tara vlogmas is my fav, also ur closet>>>>
Your vlogmas vibes simply can’t be beat
When I was 16 my brother was killed while driving. Won't go into fort details but I don't drive until I was a mother and had so many Dr apt etc for the kids. Go at your own pace. Loving vlogmas!
oh my Tara that dress on you is just breath taking girl
I’m 26 and I don’t drive for pretty much the same reasons! It’s just so scary to me, every time I am behind the wheel I just feel like I want to cry. I know it seems odd to most people but I am glad there are more of us out there.
Love it as always! You could add some cute sound deadening boards in the office to reduce the echo 🥰🥰
HOOOWW DID YOU LOOK GOOD IN EVERYTHING!! 😍
Tara: *opens a coat closet filled with coats*
"Idk if this is embarassing.."
Me: *has piles of clothes on the floor of my closets*
hahahah ur so cute tara!!
Oh im always so anxious about driving too. Unfortunately it is necessary for me right now but you are certainly not alone.
Love! I just love seeing how genuinely grounded and happy you are. Question... Why did you blur your bags??? I found that super eye catching and then I couldn't figure out why you wanted to lol
I believe because it’s a sponsored video and respect of j crew :)
Probably due to J. Crew being the sponsor of the video. They don’t want you advertising any other brands.
@@sabrinaspeas OH that makes perfect sense. Thank you!
GIRLLLL that black dress looks SOO GOOD on you!!!
@@KateMcIrving I defnitely think I'll get around with that soon one but getting a car is definitely not in the books right now.
Ok I don’t know if this is just me but I have to have a separate spot in my closet for all of my hangers. I’m not sure if this is just overboard OCD or what but my husband thinks I’m crazy for it.
No omg I do this too
Where else are you supposed to put them? It would look silly to have them just in between your clothes?
when u said i feel pretty i was like awwwww you look prettttyyy 🥺🥺
Thank you for being honest. There is no rush to get driving if you arent comfortable. I'm the same and we are abouy the same age and people always want to push. No, do it at your own pace when you are ready. 😊
I bought my first tree this year. I was inspired by Tara! 🤍🤍🤍🤍 Thank you for making me a happier human and inspiring me to keep growing!
I rather pay someone to drive me around.
need to know where your heels are from with the black dress!!!
Just so you feel better ,my coat closet is overflowing as well ,you not alone sis
Do you have granite countertops? If so, I’d recommend getting a cleaning spray for that specific type of counter. Windex is for windows lol.
no they're porcelain! I made sure to get a non-porous countertop so that I wouldn't have any issues!
@@imtaramichelle gotcha!
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen this coat.” 😂 so relatable
Otherwise, at nearly 54 years old I've never really longed for my own car. ;)
That red top with your black leather pants…. I can’t. So cute!
Tara you look so amazing in any clothes omg
I can see what you mean about wanting to make the oven hood darker… we need to see the photoshop renderings lol or can we get a full view with angles?
Just wondering why you add cold froth to your coffee? Doesn’t it make your coffee cold?
That holiday dress tho!!!! Looks great on you 😍
That dress is stunnnnning💖
I grew up
In Boston Massachusetts and never felt the need to or want to learn to drive.
You do you!
I don't drive too - makes me very anxious. You're not alone. Thank God you talked about it because I thought I was alone in this.
Where are the shoes that you wore the black dress from?! They’re so cute!
You are not alone on your anxiety with driving. I did not start driving until I was twenty and I am always anxious driving. People are idiots out where I live. My anxiety is worse when all the snow birds come out here because there are way more people on the freeway. Out here you wake up one morning and ask yourself where all these people came from
Why are the bags blurred? 🤔
Another vloggg! Have been loving them so far! 😍
