- Following on from our visit to the Trioliet factory we got a demonstration of a Trioliet self propelled feeder on a farm not far from the factory. Padraig talks us through the feeder and tells us why they are beneficial to a farmer over a trailed feeder!

Self propelled feeders do work really well and leave a lovely clean face but backup is required when the inevitable breakdown happens. Especially in the UK market with my experience of them.
I would need a week to look round that place and what a place it is 😍. I don't need a feeder wagon but it looks a nice peace of kit. Stay safe 🏴
A reliable feeder wagon is very important when you have dairy cows or other animals👍😉

Yes but when you keep going bigger and bigger you reach a point where your machine is not cost efficient. I know we are dealing with same prices with fertilize, fuel,parts, and everything else. We try to be as efficient as possible we cut with 100hp tractor, rake with 100 hp and bale with a 165 hp . We are covering 4000 acres give or take depending on weather and the only thing we can use to get any more efficient is we need to get a t5 140 to put on a mower so the rake tractor can get a break and be ready to move bales . I watch your videos and my goodness 🤣🤣yall would use 500 hp to cover our acreage on 2 units alone 🤣🤣
