Just found your channel. Can I get Sean's contact information please? I absolutely agree with Sean concerning the blocks. I am in the Caribbean and I kept wondering why there were no blocks like what we are use to that can be put down for years and they don't fall apart like what it seems like Ghanian blocks do.

Lease land is not worth it

  • @slaveman2818

It’s sad that your children will never inherit this house nor the land that’s because Ghana constitution does not allow anyone to purchase freehold land all lands are leased , foreigners get 50 years while Ghanaians get 99 years , there’s an option for a renewal clause up to 45 years for foreigners which only the owner can give you this right which must be agreed before leasing . After the 45 years the owners family can reject an extensions which mean the land and what ever you have built on the land goes to the owners family . People will tell you fiction so my advice just take a look at Ghana government land rights and you will see ghana land constitution written in black and white stating the facts

I took over some lands from my family and extended them and nobody rejected me. Did they not renew your papers?

It's never true, why are u spreading false information. Do u think someone can takeover ur property by refusing to renew ur lease and the notion that lease aren't renew is false. Its mandatory for renewal upon expiry and that is why is even advisable to include it when buying the land the first time.

@@NANAAGYEMANGFINEST you need educating about the Ghana constitution on lease land and why lawyer’s may advise yon to have a renewal clause , first understand what the definition of the word lease mean , it’s a fix term rent where the lessor allows the lessee to use there property for a period of time the original owner retains possession of the property the lease has a maximum of 50 years as a none Ghanaian with the option of a renewal clause up to 45 but not exceeding 45 years at any one time the lessor does not have to extend your lease a second time if he hasn’t agreed to and if it what ever he agreed with you is not written on indenture you will no legal right to a renewal . Ghana constitution changed there law approximately 6 years ago which no longer allows freehold sale of land . The best thing for you to do is read exactly what the Ghana constitution says about the new land act only then you will that that you was missed informed with false information and that you misunderstood when it becomes mandatory for a person to continue there lease . It’s only mandatory if the lessor has a written agreement in writing and signed in your indenture of that’s not there your in trouble 👿, and if it is don’t ignore how long exactly is the lease extension is for because it does to have to be 45 years the law says up too 45 years therefore it can be 7 years of 16 years or anything up to 45 years . Freehold is freehold lease is lease
