I've watched you for years, and I've waited for years for you to come here and experience my culture. I'm a proud Kamilaroi woman and appreciate your genuine take on things Sonny & Andrew. It would take you 100 episodes to cover even a fraction of our food & culture, given how old our first nations people are, but I'm so grateful for you showing a snippet of it.
Aunty was 100% correct about how bad addiction & lower socio-economic status is our biggest killer. Generational trauma (genocide, stolen generation, misplacement, racism, police trauma, health degeneration etc) is unfortunately left untreated and ends in self medication. We weren't built for the modern, colonised life. We were fine for 65,000 years before invasion.

The amount of Aboriginal food culture shown in this 24 minutes clip far exceed what I’ve seen in the 22 years of living in WA. It’s a shame that even our local television do not expose it enough. This is beautiful and I hope I get to experience it first hand.

There are currently significant discussions taking place regarding aboriginal rights. These discussions shed considerable light on the matter. What Sony is accomplishing is bestowing upon people a profound sense of identity. As I witnessed you confront the weight of 60,000 years of human history, I couldn't help but be struck by your immense humility. It was as if I witnessed the presence of gods walking among mortals. This is not merely a video about food; it represents a pivotal moment for anyone who watches it. Your work epitomizes the pure essence of art restoration, devoid of any attempt to dictate or embellish. Instead, you simply observe, assuming the role of a cultural observer, a steward of civilization, and a seeker of the forgotten paths of humanity. God Bless You!

The Voice is simply an opportunity for Government's to create a constant 'balance of power' situation and a body that can be bought. The voice is hardly the insight of Aboriginal people, there is around 900,000 Aboriginals in Australia, and they all don't think the same, they will not even be consulted regarding anything 'The Voice' will be handling. The government is just creating a corruptible body (and that isn't because they are Aboriginal before anyone goes nuts, they are corruptible because the body is filled with human beings with power and access to tax money)

Information for those people freaking out about Australians eating Kangaroo.
There are over 50 million Kangaroos in Australia. They're in much greater numbers now than any point in history due to land clearing for sheep and cattle.
They're the most environmentally sustainable animal you could possibly farm in Australia. Their padded feet do no damage to soft desert soil unlike sheep and cattle.
Their meat is incredibly lean and healthy to eat and their hide makes fantastic shoe leather.

@@moon-moth1 I would agree. The hunting of turtle and dugong on the East coast of Australia was a contentious issue some years ago. At the time, I lived in Far North Queensland and lived with locals who hunted both animals traditionally. I've had turtle at a ceremony but not dugong. Where I lived, turtle wasn't a regular meal. It was saved for important events. I was given the name 'gnawia' (gnawiya) which means Sea Turtle in the local language because I told an elder I didn't feel right, eating the turtle. She gave me an out for when someone offered it to me again. But hey, the locals could catch Barramundi all year long, so I got to eat good fish whenever the boys came over after a day on the water or at the river.
