Too much performance for me, it would be wasted like grandma driving around in a hellcat :D. Would love to see a video on your techniques to go into a nice long trims out swoop landing.
Excellent analysis. Broken down by overlapping categories to the summary, which wrapped it up. If it’s half as fine as it looks, it’s got to be one heck of a wing. Another perfect video. In my opinion Mr. T.
Great video Tucker. When I demo'd this wing the best thing about it was the landing... wow that flare was so much fun. It is fast and feels pretty stable - speed bar is VERY Fast. Overall a great wing I'd recommend to others. If I didn't have the Dudek Driftair (that feels very similar in responsiveness) I'd go with the Freeride 2.
Thnx for your review. I take a Compet Freeride 2 13m the same color. But I took Dudek's clevants and replaced the ozone ones. I think they're more interesting for slalom.
I'm 6'9" and are looking for my next wing but all high performance wings seems to be for small ppl, I'm 125kg with clothes and together with my paramotor I reach around 170kg. Is there even a wing in this category that can take that kind of weight?
Question, if I wanted to fly from Newport News, VA to Puerto Rico in a paramotor (with pit stops ofc), is it possible? If so, any recommendations for specific paramotor? Wing? And what may I need to do legal wise between stops in the Caribbean?
I'm on my 5th year of flying and I still fly En A or En B gliders ONLY. I've had too many friends die in this sport and I have no need for performance if that means sacrificing safety. It's too often a pilot will kill themselves and there is little to no explanation. Very rarely they are on beginner gliders.
Hey Tucker - Here’s an idea for you: It seems like it would be pretty simple to attach a short piece of line from your cellphone case and clip it to either your shorts or your harness. You’d never have to worry about dropping your cellphone while you’re up there ever again!
Hard to call it a comprehensive review if all your experience is on this glider and not others to compare to. Comparative testing is the most important type of testing.
Love you videos, but this is just an advertisement for the wing. Please no more blatant commercials unless they are marked as such. Hope they paid you a lot for this advertisement.
I disagree, this is a review. I was very upfront that I am a dealer and that this is my favorite wing. I got paid nothing for this video. Indirectly, other people will find this information useful and decide to do business with me in the future.
I have to agree. This is the same thing that killed broadcast TV and FM Radio. In the case of UA-cam you now are forced to watch an AD to reach a video that resembles and AD which in-turn is rudely interrupted by yet another AD’s or multiple AD’s. I’d suggest immediate upload of another video which is pure entertainment and shenanigans to off-set the AD aggravation. F AD’s 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 F AD’s 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@TuckerGott sweet, it's my primary wing right now and I absolutely love it. At 24m my fat ass with an all up weight of 140kg is still getting nearly 3.8l/hr cruise efficiency at 45mph trims out. Best part is that I don't even fly with bar anymore because of how much speed is in the trimmers.
Learning to kiting with a friend before class starts. I get the vibe i need to get my own harness. Can you recommend one just for kiting? Not crazy expense..
Understandable perspective from the outside, however If you see and fly one of these wings you'll understand how much technology goes into it. Most people don't understand R&D costs, production, shipping, commissions for dealers, warrantee claims, etc. Yeah it's not cheap... but it's not like a honda generator where they sell hundreds of thousands a year... this is a high quality wing with low sales. They have to charge enough to stay in business. Trust me, I own three different wings and it's an investment in fun :)
Made in Vietnam if I remember correctly, in a state of the art facility. Great employee retention and pay for the locale. Believe me, it's not your average 400 thread ct. bedsheet or kitestrings LOL, but you know how hobbies are... in all reality, to have something this inexpensive that FLIES you in/through the air like a vulture or buzzard, safely, it's a bargain IMO✌️

Hey tucker, I have your 3 blade e prop and the ozone runner in my cart, do you think I can get a discount code? It would really help me start off my paramotoring journey. Even if you can’t, thank you!
6:46 woah woah woah no no no! The “regular” (non competition) version still has PK risers. I use them all the time. But, you just gotta be trimmed to that first white line (neutral) to hit max speed. With the comp version, I think you can hit max speed while trimmed all the way in??
That's the point of the PK system is you don't have to trim out at all in order to get full speed out of the glider. Hence the reason the standard FR2 doesn't have the PK system. You have to trim out AND use speedbar to get full speed
@@JustOutHereTinkering , omfg. The standard FR2 HAS PK RISERS! I can look at them, hold them in my hand, and watch the trimmer side release when I pull the speed bar line. @mmcowan it's possible it's an option for both wings but as far as I know, and this is the case with my warp, the trims can be fully in and you hit speedbar you get everything. All of the PK systems are different in small ways though. No reason to get angry though man, it's aaaalllll good

Tucker you just made ESPN they posted you and your channel on TV and there UA-cam channel.
No way! I can’t find it on UA-cam, do you have a link?
So Tucker. Flat earth. Yay or Nay? 😂
Far out.
Appropriate for harsh conditions of the Southwest? Or is the material just for grass field environments?
You still fly in north jersey?
Mustache compare?
Killing it Tuck
Isn't old school general rule 200 hours per class of glider? Or maybe its 100, but that would still make this a 400 hour glider!
i weight 165kg (340p) which wing i sould buy ? is there a solowing or should i use a duo ( Tandem)

Okay... but what about the Viper5?
It's an awesome incredibly fun wing to fly especially the 14m

If you point the glider at the ground, how quickly it wants to recover on the pitch axis.
