I gotta say this is one of the best reactions I've seen to this video. Your reaction to what the song says and how it affects you is so visible and amazing to see. Thank you for sharing this with us! I've seen your reactions before and you are always so cheerful and fun to watch but this is def the video that made me subscribe. This is song is a masterpiece but it fucks you up emotionally! First time I heard it I cried like a baby and then went and showed it to my mom and she cried too lol Its comforting to know that some experiences are somewhat universal regardless where you grow up Re: that number was his childhood home phone number.
The reason him mom would sing to him repeatedly was because he suffered from Attention Deficit so she did her best to help him learn. The phone number was his home phone where he used to live. Nice reaction to a genius of an artist, Residente!
René plasma en sus líricas lo que muchos pasamos y sentimos no necesitamos ser artistas o famosos para entender. Me encanta que hasta en otro idioma se transmita igual
He started writing this song about 3 years ago after a trip to Mexico for a concert, the concert was full and he did not want to leave the hotel room, he called his mother because he wanted to jump off the balcony, his mother calm him down and on that day a friend was traveling to see him and stayed with him. All this he posted on twitter when the song came out.
Eres muy empático, gracias por tu reacción, no todos tienen esa conexión con la letra y la musica, te pones en el lugar de rene y eso hace que aprecie mucho tu reacción, gracias
There is a twitt from Residente where he talk about one day in a hotel when he wants to commit suicide and right after that day he start writing this song
As a puertorican at the begining of the song her mom trying to study story of Puerto Rico telling him with what parts of the body the Tainos plays heads knees etc cause he was dealing with autism..... we were made by a mix of 3 races conquered by spanish locals taino indians and africans ...btw the number in the 80s no area code needed thats his moms telephone number he just want to call home go back where he was happy and love ....
Spirt, the phone number is his house phone when he was a baby. Rene learned best with rhymes. Mom knew this and would re-teach him things after school in a way she knew he understood. He memorized his home phone like this when he was tiny. Thank you man. Remember the song Latino America you reacted too? Well, Rene was not loved for songs like this back home in the 90s. He was devastated when he was rejected by main-stream PR. It was a blessing for the world because he found the Latin American community (and the world found him). But he wasn't recognized back home. I understand. I love this man like so many around the world. And I feel his pain of feeling his home town didn't love him. Foundation is everything. Traditional Puertoricans can be harsh. 😔 I hope Rene feels love and at home everywhere and anywhere...💕 -L *the man at the end is the great Panamanian salsero, Ruben Blades💪💔 It's like a lullaby. Thank you Spirit, thank you💕
Your reaction to this video was on point!!!! Thank you for showing your emotion to it. So many people want to be known and be famous but there is always a price to pay for giving your life to the public! Be well all and be careful what you wish for, it just may be the last nail on your coffin 🙏❤️
Great video men, you should react to "Latinoamérica" by Calle 13, it's the same rapper and the lyrics are deep, almost all the latinos get identify with that song.
Thanks for the video. I love watching reactions to this song, how it catches people off guard. We have been exposed to so much shitty music and media that we forgot what music, lyrics and poetry were supposed to be used for, what we could achieve.

I appreciated this. Don’t be afraid to say what is on your mind or what you feel. We all feel his emotion and how he communicates through his pain.
His friend wasn’t shot 4 times, his friend was murdered by four cops ... 😣
Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽

That's his real mom singing ! She used to make up little songs so it would be easier for him to learn. And his real son at the end.
