So if the casing of a well is failing and is extremely old wouldn't installing that Well Liner knock a bunch of sediment in as it's being installed??? Just to clear up the question further I'll explain my own situation because my well casing is so old I literally poked at a rust hole and it broke all the way through to where i heard the piece that broke free drop into the well. And as a follow up question if a well casing is so old that it's just a shell basically wouldn't the whole casing itself need to be removed so the well can be recased??? I'm only asking trying to gather as much information as possible before i make any decisions on what to do.
I have a well in my basement about 90 feet deep 6 inch pipe, the metal casing at the top is rotted away, it looks like the upper part of the casing was replaced at sometime in the past and It may have to be replaced again.
I have a 6" casing. When they drilled my well, they installed a 3" liner which only goes down 20' from the top. Is it possible to remove the liner and replace it with a larger liner ?
How do you keep the 4 inch pipe from falling into the well? How do you attach the 4 inch liner to the 6 inch casing? and how do you install the pitiless adapter?
He explains all your questions in the video. The packer stops the 4 inch pipe from falling down. Also at the top of the well you attach the 4 inch to the 6 inch with bolts or screws.
What’s a good idea for for keeping your ditches dry we Ben using trash pump so we can lay or lines after drilling to pump house but next day ditch is filled with ground water
Yes the rain has been awful. IF it isn't filing a ditch in, it is good for burying a drill rig. We normally try to dig a ditch and cover it in the same day if we can. With the way this winter has gone, some jobs have just had to wait
Can a liner be installed on a 4" well? 80' submersible pump brand new installed and water comes out brown. I've let it run for 10 minutes and it clears up, but then turns brown again with in 30 minutes. The casino is about 40 years old
Had a leak at casing below pump above ground. They replaced a part was inside casing to this they lifted pipe liner up 3 feet and got stuck. The install new part and put back pump. Now the pump is having problem holding pressure and sand is coming up when it was not before. Which clogging up filter in softener which lead no water to house but the water at pump water speeket. Question by pulling line pipe 3 feet and getting stuck cause the sand to enter the casing and loose water pressure. If it did would solution be to remove line pipe and clean out casing of sand and introduce again line pipe down below the 3 feet that pull from. They are suggesting to replaced tank instead of cleaning sand in casing and getting unstuck the liner pipe what do you think ?
What we need to do if our well has a pipe leaks or how to find out we’re the leaks is from the well pipe talking about well lines or pipes not inside the house
Mine is stuck 2ft above 2nd bad spot in rock. How can we get it out? It will not move either way. Tried a tractor and come along. It will not move up or down. What’s your thoughts?
I had a packer installed due to surface water entering around 90 feet. Normal water is at 104 feet. Well is 20 years old. Cased to 160 feet and drilled to 354 feet. The plan was to install the packer around 170 feet just below well casing. But PVC Pipe and packer became so heavy we couldn't keep it from wanting to keep going down. So the contractor thought to pull pipe and packer back up to remove some weight. Only pulled about a foot when it broke off about 40 feet from surface and seems too be stuck there. My fear is that the packer and pipe will eventually fall clear to bottom of well and ruin/break the submersed pump. Any thoughts on how to secure pipe and packer? Have you ever used Sodium Bentonite Chips between new PVC liner and old well casing? The well water is clearing up but still has a sour kraut smell. We determined the root cause of contaminated ground water is that the ground water was bringing silage runoff into the well causing discoloration and a strong odor especially when we had any amount of rainfall. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I have a small residential property. My contractor installed, my first submersible pump and first well casing 14 months ago. Everything was perfect until 2 weeks ago not one drop of water! My contractor, who installed this new system, told me he can't put in a new wire and must excavate my yard a second time and charge me $1,400.00. Is this normal? To excavate again? If he can't put a new wire through his own well casing system should that be my fiscal responsibility? Last year I asked me, while he was installing the system, if I had to excavate in the future. He said no. A well casing makes it easy to put in new wire without chopping-up the yard again. Help!
How do you know when to replace pump? If your well is buried do you have to bring it above grade? I ask this because my pump is 10 years old and should i replace it. it does work fine but i am worried about in dying in winter.
Hi I buy a property in arizona it have a 5" Stell casing and it have a pvc pipe inside the inside of the pvc pipe is 4 1/4 what size pump can i install on it 4" or 3"?
Hey Guys! I bought a house with a 500+ well with 6" PVC casing. It has recently collapsed closing off at 100-foot level. The water which was at 40 foot, has disappeared. There is fracking ongoing nearby. The well is 50 years old. It had been abandoned for years. I was trying to reactivate. What can i do? Is it likely that 400 foot of sediment fell in or do I have a plug?? Help! Thank you!
The seal is 1 or 2 feet long and is pushed to pass the drive shoe ,that is not bad , the bad thing is that you have to pull up your well pump , i have a well pump put in at 2017 15 gal minutes just what i need it imagine me pulling up this pump seating at 480' deep with a water head of 475' on top , i had to use a half inch rope with chrome strand in it , Where i come from we relied on well water 90 % to seal the surface water from entering the well and stop erosion from happening that mostly is from surface water from around the casing , we had to pore a 6"x 6'x6' cement shape it like a funnel upside down around the casing and installed a rubber flange tightly fit at bottom of pipe to keep water away and did a good job , keep in mined if you are going to drink this water , should be no septic no lech-field no garden within the 100' that is a law in NYS.
How do you make this repair if a 12 by 20 well house has been built around the well? Well is 7 years old and 130 deep. It is pumping dirty water. Bob Merrill
I have a 275 feet well, and there is a caving at 22 feet below ground, will this work, if yes how much will it cost?
Keep them coming always looking forward to your content.

Played a drinking game with this video. Every time he says "packer" we took a shot. There were four fatalities.
please do a video on 2in.packerjet and a demo on installing it
How about a 2" galvanized artesian well with the casing
Leaking will a liner work and what size packer to use?

@@laker3 He does not explain the pitless adapter issue.

What do you do if the well contractor prematurely installed a liner without a packer?
Can you help where can I find 3 packer to 8 inches casing

look into isolating your system with valves so you can figure our where your leaks are
Where do you get them? And how much are they?
Thank you your very good at teaching this 👍👍
Great explanation! Thank you.
thanks for your feedback

Can I have someone install a Liner in the shallow well in my basement? 6" casing and 6' deep below the basement floor.
Will a 4 inch submersible pump work sufficiently at 40 feet deep. Water level is at 12 feet

Why would the packer end up below the casing?
He just said.

Can this be used with a rotting steel casing?
Thank you young man!
Thank you for the information! How long you you expect that Packer to last?

Hey man New subscriber here. 👌. How do I know my water well deep? THANKS
Why not stop the packer just before the bottom of the casing sealing off the 6" casing.
The seal is 1 or 2 feet long and is pushed to pass the drive shoe ,that is not bad , the bad thing is that you have to pull up your well pump , i have a well pump put in at 2017 15 gal minutes just what i need it imagine me pulling up this pump seating at 480' deep with a water head of 475' on top , i had to use a half inch rope with chrome strand in it ,
Where i come from we relied on well water 90 % to seal the surface water from entering the well and stop erosion from happening that mostly is from surface water from around the casing , we had to pore a 6"x 6'x6' cement shape it like a funnel upside down around the casing and installed a rubber flange tightly fit at bottom of pipe to keep water away and did a good job , keep in mined if you are going to drink this water , should be no septic no lech-field no garden within the 100' that is a law in NYS.
thank you !!
How do you make this repair if a 12 by 20 well house has been built around the well? Well is 7 years old and 130 deep. It is pumping dirty water. Bob Merrill
have to have access to raise pipe in and out...either cut a hole in the roof or tear the building down
Please do a video on a new irrigation well where the pump needs priming at every use…the pump is not the problem.
Great 👍
Awesome thx
All this rain is really Ben hard on pump buisness
Too much lag explanation
This guy dont answer his UA-cam
your explanation makes no sense
