I think the biggest reason why people recommend bagging fewer discs is because new players will put too much reliance on flight numbers. Changing the disc for every single little variable is preventing new players from learning touch. Touch is important to slightly modify the outcome of the throw that is within the players own control.

I honestly agree with you as well. I just want certain players to know that as a beginner the advice you get may be good advice , just not the best advice that fits you. For me, I feel that having more disc has really helped me learn and be able to narrow down what I really want in my bag. One day I forced myself to only carry about 18 disc and I found that my bag ended up being mixed from different companies but some disc had the same exact flight numbers but more so flew very similar. It was just the subtle touches that made me bag them both. One thing I didn’t get to say in the video is the flight numbers really don’t matter much and it’s just best to learn the disc and how it will fly for you. A boss flies different for me than it does a guy who has been throwing it for 4 to 5 years.

I couldn't help but notice a blazers hat just made you a bigger influence in my journey. Been playing for two months now and your information is a big help.

That usually works out pretty well. Mixed bags are great

I’ve got three disc golf bags, Zuca cart with Handeye backpack, 2nd Renu back pack, 3rd lone star messenger bag. Each holds different disc count, however each bag has the same disc. Same drivers, fair ways, mid-range, throwing putters and putters. The messenger bag travels with while I work if I find a course near my layover I can go play 9 holes.

This seems like a good introductory video for someone who wants to be a beginner disc golfer/ UA-camr/tournament player but if someone wanted to begin playing just for fun I’d give them different advice on how to start.

I have two video ls of 10 good and bad things I experienced as a disc golf beginner that touches on that. Check those out. Also if someone wants to play for fun there is anything to consider other than finding a starting pack you like and getting out to throw. Carts and all the extra stuff to worry about really wouldn’t matter if you don’t think it serious. this advice was something that I wish I knew when I first started playing and is very much something beginners need to consider if they are gonna take it serious

@homerclark9553 look at the company house of discs and who they own and innova and discraft. They all 3 own multiple disc companies...monopolizing the dg market . Thats the problem with society .

Highly recommend Goliath Disc the Blurple Slingshot, even though it is in the 170 gram range, it is a great disc for my slower arm speed.
