Thank you sir for your bravery and commitment to freedom. You have my most sIncere respect. My Father was shot at the Battle of the Bulge so I know first hand the sacrifices men and women made in your generation for liberty around the world. May God continue to bless you and your family.
Eddie is a remarkable man who came from the "Finest Generation" this country has ever produced. I have had the privilege of working with many WW2 veterans. Not only did they go on to defeat tyranny, but come home and rebuild their lives and this countries economy to help give us all the better life we have now. God bless each and every one of them.
The human sacrifice is daunting, so horribly tragic. To fight for our freedom to live without the burden of tyranny. If those men could see what we have done with our " freedom" .... what would they conclude.
GOD bless all the heroes. Love this story. My late uncle was a tailgunner in a B-17 in England from the Mighty Eighth Army AIRFORCE US in the 394 Bombing Group
Was privileged to meet to Lanc crew and gave em a painting I did of one crossing the Lincolnshire coast. Honoured when one said "you got it spot on", the other crewman just smiled with tears running down his face. Best job I ever did and a small thank you to those two sterling Gentlemen and for all of them, whatever service, whatever Country, who stood with us and who we stood with.
Plenty of Aussies flew with Bomber Command and shared the grievous losses. The captain of my uncle's Lancaster crew was Australian. They survived over 20 operations before failing to return from an operation to Berlin in December 1943.
@@richardstuart325 4,000 Australians died fighting with Bomber Command and Coastal Command. They tied down over a million troops defending Germany with anti aircraft guns. Reduced German metal production by half and destroyed 770 ships.
I’m not sure the next generation will/does appreciate what these brave men did to allow us & our country to be free…Britain is not British anymore due to the country being diluted by immigration!
The brave souls of Bomber Command never received a service medal. When, thanks to the efforts of Robin ,He of the Gibb Brothers BEE GEE fame a memorial was finally erected in Green Park, the opening ceremony was due to be funded by City Hall. But the illustrious Boris backed out of funding the opening ceremony. He eventually caved in. The head of the Bomber Command Association was going to be liabel for the costs personally because that slag pulled the plug. How could people of such eminence be treated in such a way. Just like that reptile that inhabits Cty Hall now. No difference. The sacrifices made by those golliaths has been squandered, belittled and berated. I cry for those that gave thier all, everytime I get on the underground !
This is why we should all be appalled by what is happening to our country. I don't want to see Palestine protesters climbing on war memorials, draping their flags over memorials or covering memorials in Graffiti.
God bless our veterans ❤
Huge respect to Eddie and all former Bomber Command members.
We are very grateful.

Then the boomers ruined it all.
The UK babyboom years were 1958-71.
Our boomers are aged 52-64.
@@stephfoxwell4620 Wrong.
@@unusedsub3003 No. The definition of a baby boom is years of relatively high births.
For the UK those were the years 1920-22, 1944-48 and 1958-71.
@@stephfoxwell4620 simping for the people that destroyed your own country. Tragic 😂
Thank you for your bravery Sir, and ALL our ancestors..this is Britain and we will NOT comply with this EVIL.Never forget, Never Surrender

Being Australian, i grew up with hearing about the bravery of the English pilots in WW2.
Never was so much owed by so many to so few
That was fighter pilots. The few totalled about 9,000 in the Battle of Britain.
Bomber Command had 130,000 aircrew. 56,000 died.

And they wanted Arthur Harris's statue removed.
Only erected in 1992.
Defaced by BLM.
