In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Srikanth Bolla in conversation with Raj Shamani.
He is the Founder and Chairman of Bollant Industries. He is the first international blind student in Management Science at the Sloan School of Management of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In this episode, we talked about Srikanth’s childhood, how after his birth people around him told his parents to leave him, and how kids in his school would corner him but throughout this all, his parents supported him. He also shared how he deals with bullies and disrespect with sarcasm and optimism. He shared his story of how he met Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and why he calls him his hero. We also talked about how IIT coaching institutes rejected him and how then his mentors helped him to get into MIT. He further talked about what are some changes that the Indian education system needs to make to get better and the difference between education abroad and in India.
Towards the end, we talked about how one can become a better leader, how he started Bollant industries, what was his vision behind it, and how he hires people. We talked about his biopic ‘Srikanth’ and what all Rajkummar Rao did to prepare for his role. We ended our conversation by talking about how he met his wife and got to know that she was the one. My father S.Darshan singh was also blind....but onhone apni life bhi ek hero ki tarah ji...he was not blind by birth ..at the age of 6 he lost his eyesight ..meri life ke real hero hai wo..ohnone ne apni life ka goal fullfill Kiya wo govt. music teacher the..ohke pass Ghar Pe itne students ate the ki unke pass time nahi tha..wo 11 countries ghume apne profession ki wajah se...hmare batala(Punjab) pure district (Gurdaspaur) me koi Aisa nahi tha Jo unko janta nahi tha..onhone ne bhi apni life me bahut struggle kr k ye mukam hasil kiya tha ..mai agar jb kabhi bhi lost feel krti hu to mai apne papa ko yaad krti hu ki agar wo apni life me sab achieve kr skte Hain to hum to fir normal hai hum kyu nahi ....haa lekin agar kuch bnna hai to ladhna to pdega ...ye sikha hai maine unse..M proud of my father❤

My left eye is squint, so I feel always demotivated why God maked me like this , I don't go outside from my house, I am not able to talk to anyone and contact eye to eye, but this video change my whole vision and pull me to get motivated for my dream, thankyou Raj samani sir for inviting him❤❤❤
Look, Having blind eyes and saying that Blind people can do anything is a foolish talk. Srikanth is an exemption don't follow rare stories BUT
Having 1 eye and 1 ear is enough to live life perfectly without literally taking help of any person. There might be two scenarios either you've full vision in right eye or having partial vision. In both circumstances, you are in a good position untill 6/36 with Eyeglasses and N10 For near vision.
Don't get demotivate, I have 1 eye, 1 ear with right eye having only 6/36 Glass vision and it is enough to live life independently. Some limitations may be in your life but it is negligible. All you need is to understand that 1 eye vision is sufficient untill 6/36. Only 1 problem which I am facing is constant surgery regularly due to Glucoma, 11 till now (21 age) and might go more than in total 16 surgeries in lifetime. These were the time where you will get down otherwise no problem at all. U can reach me on IG @bhawarvidyasingh whenever you feels down. Stay blessed and happy 💗💗💗
@@bhawarvidyasingh I am 18years old. I am not able to talk to people confidently. I always leave alone. Even I am not able to talk with cousin directly eye contact. Because of squint eye ( tirchaa aankh) , my friends and my neighbour makes upon Me fun and comment on my squint eye they tell me where Are you watching. When I talk with someone I always feel that what will they thinking about me. I think my life is full of waste why God make me, I am studying alone in my room whole day, Without interact with anyone. Sometimes I goes into the dipression and try to suicide myself but the condition of family is not allowing me to do this. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

My story is 75% similar, Srikant is rarest so am I. There are many such gems. Sadly, in this election season ..don’t wanted it to be political but our politicians are indeed Blind in all the aspects. Inclusion is still not accepted in India in any way anywhere (just for namesake / CSR act) unless one is a fighter like him and self. 99% of such population still live horrible life.
Point .98% takes help from so called money minting NGOs.
0.01% are indeed fighters! And that’s why such podcast is happening.

I watched rajkumar raos interview with beerbiceps few hours before and when i saw thumbnail i thought i actually didn't saw clearly thought its rrs interview but its about this amazing guy i watched trailer went and searched who is this uy really inspired from him no matter we are from middle class or well off we always always complains about life bec of other people or sometimes naturally they have this oh i need buy this latest version my friend got u know what even though am from a middle class normal family as a teenager ofc as a mad 16y old girl iused to think same but after that some tragedy in my life then depression really life some situations humbled me so much from 3 years i stopped getting attached to luxury or things which make me do feel fomo from then am happy it doesn't mean i have leaved all my lil luxuries in life i had but as a human too i really evolved started to care about environment animals global warming people i i become someone strange i didn't even thought about and i learnt many good things from ur podcasts as well as 18yr old i cant say more than thisthank you so much
I think as humans from survival mode to comfort to getting obsessed with things we are evolved so badly and when ever we see inspiring people like srikhanth bolla its all gone and we realize hiw much greedywe get in life want more always complaining about small things never gratefull
