For some reasons, I always love the lighthouse sets! Love the rocky island, the little cottage, and the tower walls. I also love the seagull abd the nest!
The light seems a bit weak to me. The idea to insert the LED from below so that it works with the rotary function is great, but thus you have no direct light emission - the loss of radiant intensity is pre-programmed. The LEDs in the standard element is also not a super-strong variant. If you had seen the light cone on the wall behind, it would be good. But is nothing you can not optimize with some tinkering. Thank you for the video and insight
Well worth the price? I'm sorry but I genuinely don't understand how people can think that. This Set is clearly overpriced, the development costs are way lower and Lego is just increasing their profit here. Could you explain your opinion?
Even considering all the Price increases and included electronics here, the Price of this set should not have been more that 250. 300 is just way more that other Lego sets. I don't understand that price.
Picked this kit up yesterday and have made a start last night. It’s a very nice set with some interesting info re the Fresnel Light and other information in the books. Very happy with what I have done so far and speed build looks excellent. Cheers from 🇦🇺
How in the world can you spend that much money on a Set with such a bad price/value ratio? Please explain, because I don't understand. And if people still buy this utterly expensive/overpriced sets, Lego won't learn and keep increasing the price.
Partly from the inclusion of baseplate. Minifigures the large rock pieces the updated new light brick the battery box the wires the motor and inflation
Mine too and I found out the problem is the spinning thing for the motor as I tried to twist it or spin it, it just wont turn so I disassembled the motor part and try to see why it wont twist nor spin and here I am looking for solution that I couldn’t find 🥲
Hey I hear the shift towards sadder music in your videos ever since 2016 are you ok man we will support you unconditionally otherwise as you bring joy to our hearts
nice set but not even close to be worth 300 EUR. If you stand in front of it it looks like 120 EUR compared to other sets. Add 30 for the electronics. 150 EUR maybe 180 EUR for a reeeeaaaaal stretch.
@@AustrianBrickFan Compare it to the Lego Saturn V and rethink your opinion. Almost same piece count but the price is 120. If you add the electronics and the few extra pieces you would end up with 190 realistically. If you then add the insane price increas that Lego did, you could argue that the lighthouse can cost 250 to be comparable to more other Lego sets. But 300 is just way out of place here, even for Lego.
Comparing with other ( older ) sets doesn´t make sense. We don´t know the prices for every single element. Only comparing piece count is no good way, overall weight of the pieces ( 1746 g for 21309 and 2216 g for this one ) is a bit better but do not cover complexity of the molds etc. The high inflation and high raised costs for transport, logistics, energy etc. make an additional amount of money coming on top. Of course the price is high but we can´t judge if its too high or not because we did not know details
@@AustrianBrickFan Hm you do sound reasonable. Maybe I'm also just frustrated by the high price, because the Set looks so nice but I can't bring myself to spend that much on a Lego set with that scale. The Lion Knights Castle is kind of the same dilemma for me, I really want it but I won't spend more that 350 on it, so I'll have to wait for a good offer..
@@AustrianBrickFan Wow. You really invest a lot in justifying the price for yourself. I look just at the quality and prices of other brands and the annual revenue of LEGO. You can get a battery box with LEDs attached for 1,09 EUR in many shops all over my city (in Germany). You can get a fully functional Smartphone for less than 200 EUR - think about the complexity that goes into making this compared to the complexity in the parts in this set. Look at the blacksmith. It was priced ok with 150 EUR and is now at 180. It is the bigger set with more pieces. That's why I land at 120.
The video is played way too fast and doesn’t allow for screen by screen play back. When finished the light didn’t work. Shouldn’t have to wait until then to discover that. There should be a section to test the lights and the motor prior to assembly. Most disappointing. Lego people were not much help.

Absolutely loving the SNOT rock building technique.
Le phares lego et cool ❤️❤️❤️
What an amazing set!

A Set that expensive should NOT require additional tinkering...
This lighthouse Lego set reminds me of a book I used to read.

I really do hope that LEGO will consider doing models of the 60s puppet series Thunderbirds.
Amazing set
I love the size of lego ideas sets because theres more gimics involed
Awesome set! I'm waiting for the arrival of mine. Great video.
cool set
I had a blast doing this set! Well worth the price in my opinion.

It looks cool, but it is not the kind of set id like to buy. Maybe if i get it in a sale. 😉
Würde ich mir holen, aber nich für 300 Euro. Gutes Video😀
Amazing set. Wow.
Did mine, afterwards reminded me of a song, the lighthouse by the Hinsons

its simple! Everyone out there can do whatever they want with their money!!
I did this model some months ago and think it is great. It took attention on my part but it works as expected.
the set i'm waiting for good job!!! ❤️❤️
I'll certanly buy
I am used to tech(lieber)but this time
landspeeder great

한국어 배경음악이 나와서 놀랐어요~
저도 놀랐습니다. 가만히 듣다 보니 한국어 노래네요..
te si mangiat la banana?
its gigantic!
내가 잘못들었나 싶었는데 한국노래 들리는군요!!
It reminds me of the movie with the 2 dudes in an lighthouse island near engalng
what surface are you building on? it looks flexible as the construction is moving up and down when you add bricks....... curious
This whole summer I saved up 300 bucks. Do you think it’s worth it if I get this set?
I figure I could install a makeshift poopoo area inside the tiny house.
can we get a setup tour?
How did you connect on 11:08? Mine will not go on the motor keeps pushing it up ?
and it doesnt fit onto the black top at all. The holes are off
The same piece count and 180€ more than Apollo V is much to expensive
Partly from the inclusion of baseplate. Minifigures the large rock pieces the updated new light brick the battery box the wires the motor and inflation
@@scther4938 that sounds about 180€ (if it is a bit expensive 200€) and not 300€
@@scther4938 300€ is way overpriced
@@christoph560 the Saturn v is also a great deal in Lego sets when compared to others
Wow
Does anyone know why the motor is attached with rubber pieces?
For silencing I guess
Silencing and vibration isolation.
Maybe there is a light
In australia over 400 dollars for 2000 pieces
how come nothing happens when I turn the light on from the motor? I put batteries in.

How we change are batteries
Easily, only remove a wall segment and the screws are free
I think they should have made it $200-$215

What the song 18.40
Me too. The melody and lyrics are quite nice to listen to.

It's a strange build to me, it seems as if Lego had a look in the bin of left over bricks and decided to throw this together...!
