How much hard times the people of Iraq have pass but still smiley and open hart in the way we Serbs are alike and i want to say thank you to bring this video that open our eyes, i watch every video and liked again big thanks.
Much love to Serbs. In my school there was a Serb working there as an assistant for teenagers, Janne, his name was. He is one of the kindest and funniest man I’ve met. He helped us with everything and showed us the way forward in life. He didn’t punish us for stupid things kids did and he taught us valuable lessons. He was like a father to me. And I reckon all Serbs are like that. Much love, brate ❤
The level of downtrodden poverty is fascinating, and mind boggling at the same time. The amounts of unfathomable wealth that surrounds this city, be it the oil fields, the agriculture, or the now heavily polluted, quickly evaporating rivers and marshes, is nothing short of a comical tragedy. All thanks to corruption, and centuries of mismanagement. That has enriched the few elites across the centuries, on the behest of the poor multitudes. Stay safe, and enjoy your trip.
I like that you appreciate the history and architecture despite the chaos. I bet this city looked mesmerizing back in the day. My country Algeria also has a lot of old beautiful architecture that’s not taken care of, sadly
If you’re still in basra, I can take you on a tour to show you so many sides of this city. Of course for free :), just seeing people visiting my country and city fills me with joy.
Hello, I am from Basra. You go to old-fashioned places or places that have become very old. I advise you to go to beautiful places. There are many wonderful areas in Basra, such as Time Square Mall, the Italian Bridge and many places where there is life and cultured and civilized people such as Algeria and others.

Kino! You passed By Saddam’s Yacht when you were walking along Shat-Al-Arab. I know that because I was serving as senior political advisor at the U.S. Consulate General from 2012 to 2016. If you google Saddam’s Yacht, you will find that it’s the same boat. Apparently, Basrah used to be a beautiful city. What you see today is a result of the 80s Iran -Iraq war, the 1990 gulf war, the international embargo, the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and rural migration as a result of the environmental calamity caused by the draining of the marshes.
Welcome to Iraq at any time and I hope that you are happy with your tour of it despite the bad standard of living or that you have faced bad treatment sometimes or others do not understand you. Try to use the translation application to understand others more. We need a lot like you in Iraq to modify people's view of this ancient country regardless of the bad situation in it.
