I'm obsessed with Kate & Anthony's love story. Johnathan Bailey is a fantastic actor who portrayed Anthony & his character arc from season 1 to 2 in an unforgettable & remarkable way! He drew me in & made me believe all of the many emotions he showed. This couple is the highlight of the entire Bridgeton series for me after I was on the fence about continuing to watch the series after the first season, which I think relied too much on sex scenes to convey chemistry. Kanthony should've gotten way more scenes & time than the other plots in season 2 & I wish they would've ended the courtship to Edwina way sooner, so we could've had a beautiful, happy Kanthony wedding & honeymoon experience instead. I would have even liked to see both Edwina & Kate navigating other potential matches while Anthony & Kate grappled with their feelings for each other. Overall, I appreciated how much Kanthony genuinely connected while enjoying companionship & competition during the activities like horseback riding & pall mall etc. I loved how they matched & handled the other's intense energy which in a way helped them to both grow & improve as the situation unfolded. It's also great that Kate fit in well with his family too & values family just as much as he does.

oh god how I wish Kate was chosen as the diamond of the season how things would have been simpler for them because as much I have notice they find their calm, solace and competiveness with each other. Oh god how they smile when they are alone and enjoying each other rather than fighting or are in dilemma about something. Ufff their smile when they first met (where Anthony Bridgerton lost his heart forever to Kathani Sharma) mud scene during Pall Mall ( where Kate fell in love with him), gazebo and the season ending that warms my heart

In Episode 1 after Kate explained her plan for Edwina to Lady Danbury, the narrator hints that Kate's selflessness and love for her family makes her the true Diamond. Don't you agree? I just realized that I already replies 7 months ago.🤭

I think giving us so little of their bliss was to draw us back in for Season 3. Jonathan Bailey did say that Kanthony will return for sibling weddings. Show would be hard pressed to beat or even meet the level of Season 2 in my opinion. It evokes so many emotions in this old lady.🙂

You know Anthony had a reputation for being a "rake" (promiscuous). That sounded like a line he'd probably used, successfully, many times on women. He wasn't used to being turned down. I've watched the season and edits with hit songs as backgrounds too many times to count. The scene that follows with Dafney when Anthony says "it isn't what you think", baffles me. Exactly what was it? What was he attempting? Of course he wanted Kate to give in. Was that just ego? Did he think then that Kate would be his side chick? He didn't realize he was falling in love until Dafney said it. He was afraid of love which is why he proposed to Edwina before someone else grabbed her up. I've watched reactions and reviews but no one has addressed the show writer's intent there. Does anyone here have any thoughts on that?
Hi, I think that he was afraid to fall in love because he did not want to suffer as his mom suffered when she lost his father who he loved very much too. So he did what he could not to admit to himself that he is falling in love with Kate. That is why he asked her sister to marry him so that it would be easier to be far from Kate because once he proposed to her sister Kate should be out of limits...the "problem" was that he could not help himself and he could not lie to himself when he was near Kate. So I do not think that he had some plan. He just could not stay away from her. Plus he did not want to admit it to himself that he loved Kate so he would not admit it to his sister. @@alifahabdullah2328

I've watched Kanthony scenes a billion times. I think the best one is the first library scene after the hunt . Face to face when Anthony speaks of his father's cause of death and the affect it had on him. Kate's deep, loving, empathetic gaze into his eyes. Anthony's realization that she understood why he reacted to her bee sting as he did, and what that meant to her. I think that it is at that point they realized their feelings were deeper than just physical attraction.
She’s angry and frustrated because she loves him but knows her sister will feel hurt and betrayed if Kate pursues a relationship with Anthony. Their attraction cannot be denied. Kate doesn’t want to wound her sister and knows there is no future with Anthony without creating a scandal.
Neither of them wanted or expected to fall in love, each having different reasons for feeling that way. Anthony's reasons were made very clear in the Episode 3 flashbacks. Kate's reasons were touched on in Episodes 1 and 2 conversations with Lady Danbury, Episode 6 with Edwina, and Episode 8 with Lady Mary.
