So now I know how it feels to spawn next to Conq 3 while being Gold 3/Plat 1 (aka, not even close :D). Anyway, glad you're surfacing the problem with the map pool. We need the MegaRandom option only for Nomad :)
Drongo you forgot to trade to the top right trading post after yellow was eliminated. With trade bag, it would still be profitable even if you just drop the market at the bottom corner of your base.
Btw, when there's only 2 players left, there are only 300 pop to take, you got half of it, which means he definately don't have more than what you got. I guess the thing is just to stay calm and keep playing, and try to take map control. It's a bit of a throw, you were definately in the driver's seat through out this game.

He surrendered only because his siege of Sipahis did not go well, which was ridiculous, considering that the English are a defensive civ with many powerful castles, so it is normal that the enemy had several where they could shelter the monarch. A siege of rams and men-at-arms or knights would have been better, or why not the well-known combo of Great Bombards and Janissaries?
I think you need to watch a few of Turin's casted and played FFA games. Some of the most important thing in FFA is negotiating and politics. You have to get others to gang up on enemies who are getting stronger. Also the most important thing is to wall and secure trade.
And even with that he couldn't take advantage of the huge bonus of 150 extra population and he surrendered the first time a siege didn't go well... and on top of that a Siege "Without Siege Weapons", LOL.

He was rambling about not having gold , while there was a bunch of gold veins in the north, also 20k wood he couldve sell to get that gold, not to mention the 70 idle villagers for so long..
Drongo, man! I am new to the series, I am only level 24 I think. But man this was literally what it feels like when I'm playing. No basic upgrades to help, randomly trying to make multiple plans and with some working for the time being, getting a false sense of being more powerful then I really am. Then I realize after collecting my self, that I am absolutely in a situation that could end the game for me. Started watching your vids to learn how the game worked and stayed for the entertaining and fun times watching and learning. Feels like I have come full circle 😂. Good game man even using a civ your not to familiar with at this time. The red Japanese player DID actually have the opportunity to age up, because he can get gold from mining the stone pile that he was stuck with. A bit unfortunate that he didn't try that, then he'd be able to use the market in feudal age.
It is really fun to see how Drongo struggles vs waves of MAA and refuses to deny opponent's only gold :D

Not sure what yellow was expecting here. You never established an alliance or anything, not even a truce. Really weird that they thought you would help them. It's called free-for-all for a reason!
Red was lucky he got stone. I played this map the other day on FFA and BOTH me and an Xbox player started in the middle with all our vills and no veins
English can be a real problem in late game FFA, i for example was at 100 farms during an FFA and the remaining Order of the dragon could absolutely not stop the endless MMA production. Combine that with the 40% attack speed.
@@deadcell5149 that wasn't me, i usually ninja the color blue or green. Though the OOTD i played against really stalled the game until the last second even though i was pressuring with wonder in the background. Check Jaden Wolper for the 15 minute mega dent xD
Hate to say it but not your best effort drongo. Not choosing the MIA was where it started to go wrong. Free bombards in the late game with jannisaries from military school would have melted purple, especially with 50 extra pop. I feel like orange could have been handled better if you scouted the burgrave, rebuilt your military schools and macroed for xbows. Anyway, on to the next!
I think maps with highly specific layouts clearly made for 1on1 or Team games (for two teams) should not be used in Nomad FFAs. I in general dislike how the map generation in AoE4 produces highly specific layouts, compared to AoE2. Usually its not a problem, but in this mode it is.
Have they finally given units actual avatars and made it all less generic yet? It looks fairly more fleshed out than when I got it on release and haven't played since it was a letdown.
Aussie im a little disappointed in you, calling for a truce in FFA is super lame in my unwritten rule book. Coming from the man that said its bonus points for playing on random civ.

The last couple FFAs have required quite a bit of travel for base resource gathering. You've done well with it.

This map is terrible, had the same center spawn for someone in one of my games. And then the back area have no resources, and practically no wood.
