- Its been a WET spring that's for sure! We go around to our fields and check the progress of the crops. The corn is growing very slowly due to the cold weather (70s) and amount of rain. The soybeans are in the same boat. I rolled them and a few snapped off so we took a look at that. The sugar beets are about the only thing that looks good since we can't get the dry beans in the ground. We didn't check the wheat but that will be harvested in the upcoming weeks.

Just drove through on our way north for the weekend and can't believe how wet everything is. Feel real bad for the farmers. There are a lot of fields planted and a lot that aren't! Enjoyed the crazy video with your friends. Keep up the good work and wear your seat belts! Thanks!

Pioneer corn sometimes turns purple for a week or two, we have some Pioneer 9840amx that is a little purple right now too

It’s hilarious because we have 125 acres underwater from all this flooding and now we need rain!
That's crazy! We aren't flooded but the ground is still wet and won't dry off 😡

We roll our bean & small grain ground before we plant.
We do our navy beans right after planting usually when they are in the ground. They have been testing out when the best time to roll soybeans is when they are already up so we switched to doing that. We've never done any before planting.
