Jerry always had it super easy (even admitted to such multiple times) and always kind of had a smugness about it toward George and to a lesser extent Elaine, who did actually have some normal difficulties. I always sympathized with George because although he was a character and had some self-inflicted wounds, he just never got the good dice rolls in life Jerry did, but he always pushed through.

Come Monday she showed her face again that morning. Today, she was back at work like nothing happened. Apparently, HR blocked my boss from firing her.

We’ve all been there with managers like this but a key thing to do is the exact opposite of what George did. Just find a job before you quit, keep things cordial, and make sure you leave behind an anonymous flyer that contains info on what everyone is getting paid.
