Nice to hear the story behind the successful athlete. The struggles, the emotions, the mind-set and the switch that overcome pain, distress and all of negativity is very inspiring, thank you Demi for sharing it with us! ❤
Great podcast!, fantastic that you gave a platform for Demi to open up like that, it takes courage to acknowledge your issues. She is a great athlete and you can understand why she would be upset with her team at the TdF! SDW rode like amateurs!! At the TdF, Her struggle to overcome her inner turmoil, detracts from her as a rider and she came off as being a sore loser. She was the strongest rider there, but sometimes fate dictates a different outcome and she has to embrace these as well as the wins and gain a joy from what she does.
I have so much respect for Demi - thank you for sharing your stories with us. You are a major inspiration for women's sports already. Great interview - however, I would have chosen to have a female interviewer as well, both in terms of power dynamics and understanding. Women understand each other on a different level.
The problem with Demi is that she wants to win too fiercely. As a result, she often does not come across as sympathetic than others. She has to enjoy the sport more and that includes losing. Like Pogi, Van Aert, MVDP. They win more because they also dare to lose and have respect for their opponents.
Interesting that you put it that way. From how it looked at the TdF: Her teammate crashed her. Then they did not wait for her, don't properly work for her. I would have been furious at my team, but she always remains calm and friendly.

Great interview, inspiring and so much insight. thanks
An absolute legend ❤
Came for Demi, left because the guy on the left asked and answered his own questions instead of letting the guest talk.
