They ought to switch the cameras around on their tablets as well. The "potato" of the two is usually the front facing camera. It is also the most used camera in the tablet. It is simply illogical. The best camera is the rear mounted camera which pretty much nobody uses. Almost nobody takes pictures or records video with a tablet but they do use the "potato" camera for communication purposes. I guess every tablet manufacturer took their design cues directly from the phones although a tablet is not a phone.
@@sisamusudroka3000 Yeah. Common sense went out with Apple phones and iPads and it never returned. Every designer runs after Apple trying to design the next iPad. I really wish for Chinese phones/devices to use the full feature that USB C has to offer. Right now they are stuck with only USB2! I know they want to make the device as cheap as possible, but still using USB2? Why? Just throw out that garbage depth sensor or stop focusing on that 100W charging speed and use the extra money for full featured USB C. I just found out about a big drawback using Miracast/Wifi display and I'm not talking about the latency (which is bad for gaming) but I can't use it while also connected to mobile data! Basically a few days ago my home internet was down, thus I use data on my phone for internet. Then I want to use Miracast to basically duplicate the display to the TV... but I can't! What happen is that the mobile data got disconnected, making Miracast useless. You would've thought that without having a way to physically connect the phone to an external display, Miracast will act like a wireless cable. Unfortunately it is not the case. I'm pretty sure that this thing can be overcome in the OS itself (allowing mobile data and wifi active at the same time), but right now the OS doesn't let me do that.

With Xiaomi coming up with their PC Mode, I hope Samsung will keep improving Dex. It's the one of the reasons why I got myself the Tab S6.
Also I noticed in your video, you kept dragging the left boarder to resize some of the apps. I think the right and bottom boarders are the only sides where you can resize windows.
Definitely a huge success for Samsung. Their 'Dex' is very polished and more functional compared to other companies. It's actually Google's fault for making samsung's software feel limited. If that issue is fixed, the Ipad will be fall behind greatly.
Android has PC mode, and Windows has tablet mode.
Interesting! Will this update work with Xiao Mi S android box?
Unfortunately, It doesn't probably work. You could try to install the APK but I think the desktop mode it's supposed to be used just on tablets and foldables
@@StorkTech Thanks Andre! There are other media launchers for android boxes to choose from anyway.
With all these companies having desktop modes, I REALLY wish iPhones had this too, or at least Stage Manager on iPhone 15 with USB-C 3.0…
This app is good so which keyboard and mouse did you use?
Are you going to cover the Jingpad A1? It looks very intriguing.
I think its a pc mode, and pc uses chrome on watching videos on youtube, so it's understandable that youtube mobile app doesn't support full screen mode on pc mode.
Just a warning the flip and fold 3 both do not have video out. It's annoying that Samsung doesn't mention this at all as pretty much every flagship phone they've made in the last 5 years has had it.
Wish to see what the next Samsung Dex have install and more company should have this desktop mode since today cpu is getting powerful
Which keyboard and mouse are you using? Any specific brand?
Thanks a lot for the link! Does it also work for the mi pad 5??
Please do a stylus and keyboard review too,and please check the palm rejection for the stylus
Nice Start let's say
Sentio Desktop on the Play Store does pretty much the same
I'm waiting to buy this in India. The normal version and pro version both have a PC mode and supporting a keyboard. Right? I prefer this over a new laptop as have a secondhand laptop. I can use this for typing in Ms word, playing games, etc.
hi great video! I have a question can we download movies in pc mode with Google chrome?
The most important about desktop mode in tablets or phones is that microsoft apps should be optimized...
Mate in Dex and EMUI they already are.
Can side load apps and make a native terminal for the desktop mode would be nice.
Finally a true gaming pc
now I'm waiting for ipad desktop mode
It's clear that screen casting is not what Chromecast is intended for, miracast on the other hand is a lot better. Still not as good as HDMI though.
cant wait for you to review the xiaoxin pad pro 2021
He already did it and I bought one
This is pretty neat
But does it work on non-Xiaomi devices?
Unless it does, I’m probably just going to wait for the JingPad A1.
After miui 13 update they finally fixed it and now any apps can be in fullscreen
really, i want mix fold so bad. do you ave video to share, wen somebody sowing it?
might be a good competitor for chromebook devices
Hey, nice video, thanks! Also, if you youse any display link certified dongle, you be able to connect it on a display via HDMI. Regards.
what mouse and keyboard are you using??
will a screen rotation app be able to resolve those apps without landsacpe mode issues?
Have you tried the 2 in 1 usb c/micro that you test in the past video?
What is the keyboard and mouse model you are using?
what are the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse you are using, sir?
They ought to switch the cameras around on their tablets as well. The "potato" of the two is usually the front facing camera. It is also the most used camera in the tablet. It is simply illogical.
The best camera is the rear mounted camera which pretty much nobody uses.
Almost nobody takes pictures or records video with a tablet but they do use the "potato" camera for communication purposes.
I guess every tablet manufacturer took their design cues directly from the phones although a tablet is not a phone.
Tablet development and innovation is sadly neglected
@@sisamusudroka3000 Yeah. Common sense went out with Apple phones and iPads and it never returned.
Every designer runs after Apple trying to design the next iPad. And they do it, not by looking at actual use cases, but by copying Apples old ideas.
I bet, they could sell just as many tablets even if they just put the good rear camera on the front and made that the only camera on the tablet. They'd even save on production costs.
Must be reading my mind. Was just thinking of this yeaterday for on the poco f3
Wonder when stock android OS will have pc mode..
It's wonderful, but It seems It won't be available outside China
Pc mode on a high end tablet makes sense to me req resizable window and display over type C
What does right mouse button do? And can you play 2 movies at once? (Browser & youtube for example)
I only use Google docs and slides, i have one question, can you adjust the margin on google docs when you're in the pc mode in that tablet??
This because we force pc mode.. in future update will have this features. Not all app work perfectly..
Wow, didn't know that it now exist, even works on my Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite. PS: DO NOT TRY IT YOURSELF, you cant disable it because of the screensize, was able to fix it with custom recovery by deleting the app files.
When desktop mode like samsung dex will be in xiaomi phones like 11t pro???
I'm curious if this would work for Black Shark 4 as its JOYUI is based on MIUI 12.5 but I don't see the app in playstore to try the desktop mode
imagine xiaomi pad with M1 chip 🔥
holy dhick. a must have tablet pc, with a gpu that can run most updated emulator like PS3, citra 3ds, PS2, nintendo switch EGG NS, PC games. advanced specs with a reasonable price
SorryI don't know if its ok to ask it here but I really want to hear it from you because you have experience I live in a third world country and consoles are incredibly expensive I managed to round some money I want to know that I may go for the xbox series s and its accessories (controller headset etc.) or xbox series s and a Nintendo switch?
I really hope you answer me thanks.
I wish Google itself would work on Desktop mode
After 2 years.. no desktop mode for Xiaomi phone even for their flagship
do you know if it would work on an android tv box or is there an alternative ?
may i know the keyboard and mouse used? thanks!
Most important question : Does it run goldeneye ?
Yes, it has a Qualcomm SM8250-AC Snapdragon 870, so it will run anything thrown at it.
@@DailyCorvid Are you clueless? This Mi Pad Pro has a Snapdragon 870 CPU so it runs apps on par with a Samsung S7+.
We need a dex like app for drawing tablets
will the office app shortcuts work on mi pad5? like excel shortcuts
does the right button work in Minecraft?
Do you know which Motorola phones have a desktop mode. I heard some have them. But not sure which ones.
Tried sideloading this on my Poco X3 Pro running MIUI 12.5, and it sadly doesn't work.
Interested in your tests. Doing danger here, on Redmi Note 10 Pro, USB c to HDMI third party adapters, hubs, etc. Still no success, so need to do more tests. Trying many Android 3rd party applications.
Pc mode Is only for xiaomi tablet? Not smartphone right?
Ive never done something like that cause i just recently got to know in theory something like this is possible but i cant find exact information about this stuff so i just ask:
Xiaomi 11T
can i use a Dock for it and output a 4k Signal ? Id like to use it on my 4k TV and play some android games with it like Call of duty Mobile.
The Dock i have for my Steam deck dosent seem to work at all.
