Love your beautiful art work, Stan. Was nostalgic seeing Sough Creek. In September 2011 I scattered my brother's ashes on a little knoll overlooking Slough Creek.
Magnificent Stan, your videos have always made me feel like I am right out there with you on a nature adventure. Makes me feel so at peace with earth in all its wonders. Thank you for sharing this with me.
A very great time in the spring time on slough. Loved all the animals , variety of amazing shots . Really nice to see that great big grizzly enjoying the great spring food . Very relaxing video . Nice comfy seat you made . Nice place of peaceful campsite. Thank you Stan.
I loved o the little *nest* you made for yourself, sand cranes got nuttin on you🤣. I guess your not too worried about bears! This was so beautiful thank you for sharing💖
hey Stan, your winter wolf drawing is hanging above our kitchen sink! We love it. We’ll be doing some wildlife photography along Slough Creek this weekend.
Wonderful hike! Great wildlife - so much fun to see! I am always amazed at the cranes that you see - I have not seen them when we have driven through the park and I didn't realize that they live there too! Your art work is so, so detailed and pretty! Thank you for taking us along!
My god... you make me so damn jealous! Beautiful as always, Stan. The wildlife was out in force. I haven't been down Slough Creek, yet. The footage of the deer and moose playing was unbelievable. I would have been gitty taking some of those shots. Just wow.
I think my cat enjoys your videos as much as I do, the big game had her attention but when she seen the crane she jumped up got on the computer and sniffed the screen then looked over the monitor to see where the crane was. LOL! Nice hiking video. 👍🏻
Hi Stan, may I ask what is your background, are you a former park ranger or field biologist? It seems you have a lot of experience and are consistently able to capture wildlife and handle grizzly encounters. Could you give some advice as to how you prepared for your current “hobby” ? And of course thank you for all the wonderful footage and work that you do!
Jerod, you can do the same thing if you want to do it. You can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it. I am no expert at or from anything. I just enjoy being out in God’s wonderful creation and seeing all the wildlife. Thank you for your nice comment.
Great videos Stan. Of all the streams and rivers I fish, the beauty of Slough Creek is my #1. I get up there every fall, late September into October. Have NEVER seen the level of bear activity you see. Am I just missing sightings or is the timing not good for bear activity? I carry a big scope so ability to see wildlife not an issue.
@@johnlivingston5689 Thank You John!! Ive been seeing these in my home area of Northern Mn and had not ever remember ever seeing them before. We always had blue herons but these this far north but now we do!! Unreal!!
Awesome video, Stan. Looks like a fun trip. Amazing that your vehicle was the only one at the trailhead. Is that fairy typical at Slough Creek this time of year?
Stan another awesome vid. This is one of our favorite trails. We have never camped over night though. How long does it normall take to get a back country camp pass. Thinking of making a late August trip.
@@StanMills haha , when I was younger like 30 years ago Slough Creek was a hot spot for horns & the big bears 🐻 had many in counter with them ,never cared more than a pocket knife. Been right up close a couple times, but never rushed, my buddy had his foot bite going up a tree. But he got away, she was more worried about her cub. Still love the park though
I am not sure any more. I have gotten to where I don’t like dealing with their system and I don’t like camping where there has been so many people. So, like you, I only camp outside of the park now.
Saima, please send me an email to StanMillsWildlifeArt@gmail.com and I will send you a PDF file that has the information in it about the prints I sell. Thank you, Stan
I love that area of Yellowstone, go twice a year, spring and fall. Lamar Valley is always my go to place.
My favorite area of the park as well
@@johncarlo2630 Me three!
My favorite as well!
I named my cats Hayden and Lamar, after the valleys in Yellowstone. I just love that park and enjoy these videos.
Looked really peaceful!! Glad that big grizzly was on the other side of the river lol!!
What a gorgeous hike! Thanks for taking me along.
Very peaceful and beautiful video! 😌
I spent many nights in Slough valley. 2S4 is my favorite spot. I have stayed at 2S6 too. Great video.
I don’t know why, but slough creek is my favorite place to camp also. Maybe it is because I get to see so many bears when I am there.
Somehow I have missed this video! This is sooooo wonderful on so many levels. Thank you, Stan! I also loved the tidbit about the birds video! Yay!
Great job as usual Stan! Thanks for bringing the beauty of Yellowstone to those of us who can not visit very often. You rock!
Very peaceful, indeed, Stan. Loved your comfy setup underneath the tree cushioned with pine needles !
Stan, Thank you for sharing the beauty in Yellowstone... its an amazing place...
Nice! Thank you for the walk this morning... Always love your Slough Creek videos!!!
You are an expert, thanks for sharing such professionalism. I can't believe you walked by those two bisons that close>
That was a big grizzly. Great video, thanks for sharing.
I like how that elk appeared totally unfazed by the nearby grizzly!
You are so blessed to be able to spend time in such a gorgeous area with such amazing wildlife.
Stay safe and keep the videos comin'!
This is just. . wonderful.

Never a disappointing hike, and always just breathtaking! Thank you.
I spent a couple of nights at 2S3. And this wonderful video and sparks my memories that time!

Cowboy camping in Yellowstone… you’re brave! I suppose a tent isn’t going to protect anyone but it seems to make it feel safer lol
thank you for another wonderful video
The best video I've watched. And the background music is Perfect. Thank you
Love all your content. It’s nice to go along with you!

Enjoyed your two days in the wild. Don’t know if I would sleep under a tree, but you always surprise me. Great shots of the bear.
I was hoping the wind would not come up.

Beautiful as always Mr. Mills. TY for sharing. God Bless.
Very relaxing video.
Very nice Stan thanks for sharing.
Wildlife - If your small cute and delicious your lunch 🐹Yikes! but not today
cheers stan always a great watch
Imagining that Sitting Bull and his warriors came through Yellowstone a few times fascinates me!!!
A lot of Indians lived in the park over the years. There is all kinds of arrow heads around Yellowstone lake area.
Love all the wildlife and the simplicity of your videos. Were those Sandhills Cranes? Thank you for sharing.
Just more than jealous as I sit here in my office! Can't wait to get out of here!
Great art work

sandhill crane

How do you only have 7k subscribers?!
Question: Can you identify the birds in this video? Love seeing all the wildlife. You have a good eye for spotting them! Thank you for your videos.
If you watch my video “Bird Watching on Slough Creek” I identify all the birds. Thank you for your comments.
What kind of water purification do you use? I saw the little moving stream by your first campsite. Loved seeing all the animals. Thanks!
Awesome video, Stan. Looks like a fun trip. Amazing that your vehicle was the only one at the trailhead. Is that fairy typical at Slough Creek this time of year?
Pretty nice you had it all to yourself! I’m assuming that’s because it’s early? July- Sept. probably more campers?
Yes, I think that is correct.
Was that the same grizzly in the different shots? Great video!
Hi Stan I'll be at the Slough Creek campground in August. Any must see trails?
We were in Yellowstone May 12-15th. Every trail we wanted to hike had a closed sign on it. When did they open them?
Stan, can I come with you on your video’s 😃 Love your channel 🥰
Stan another awesome vid. This is one of our favorite trails. We have never camped over night though. How long does it normall take to get a back country camp pass. Thinking of making a late August trip.
Just do it within 3 days of your backpacking trip on line on the Yellowstone website.
Slough Creek Yup
Do you keep a written journal during your hikes and camping trips?
Awesome, as always! 👍✨🇨🇦
Check out our beautiful shot of a mama and her baby black bear!
It’s a little fuzzy to me. Are you hiking with one other person?
Are the ticks bad yet?
You find any antlers?
Lots of antlers but you have to leave them in Yellowstone.

@@bobholstine8560 still lots of bears. I have a few videos on my channel backpacking slough creek. It is still a great place to go.
Nice as always.Do you know where the two wagon teams were going to and from ? Silvertip ranch I presume.
You are correct. Silver Tip was in place before Yellowstone, so there is an agreement allowing use of the roadway.
Is it pronounced "slow" creek or "slawf" creek? Anyone know? Great stuff Stan. Thank you.
“Slew”
@@janeomalley3129 Thanks!
How hard was it to get permits? I’ve done a lot of backpacking outside of YNP, never in the park.
I am not sure any more. I have gotten to where I don’t like dealing with their system and I don’t like camping where there has been so many people. So, like you, I only camp outside of the park now.
Do the park signs such as "2S3" or "2S6" mean anything other than designating a particular location?
Where can we find your artwork?
Chris, send me an email to StanMillsWildlifeArt@gmail.com and I will send you a PDF file with the information. Thank you.

The age old question of would you rather see the grizzly bear that mauls you to death, or would you rather see nothing as you get mauled...
👍 😎
