Lots of things you guys are wondering are out there! The show runners and many people behind the scenes are huge fans of the show so they're definitely paying attention to the martial arts style. They go beyond that and realize that each character have their own style too
disney and others need to take notes , this is how you adapt something right this looks so good
Hopefully we see scenes that were described or mentioned in the anime... would love to see the monk gyatso final battle, Ursa killing Ozai father before her banishment... and of course how Zhao found the the identities of the moon and ocean spirit....
They actually don’t have to condense. (They will be condensing some episodes and expanding other things though.) The original run time of each season of the cartoon was around 460 minutes (20 episodes at ~23 minutes each) and this will be around 480 minutes (8 episodes at ~60 minutes each). So we should be getting around 20 minutes more!
However, you still have to rewrite. It's not really good television if every 60 min episode is clearly three different stories of 20 min with three arcs each.
Netflix has been killing it with not only live action but great works of animation as well
Thia live action A:TLA will be another global phenomenon and will be for years 😢
My husband did something similar to me with my first chin hair, which was actually halfway along my jaw, and transparent mostly. We were outside the house, working on things, and he said he saw something on my face, and grabbed it. The skin along my jaw stretched out with it, and the look of horror on his face made me laugh.
Ya, this is a solid trailer. What will sell the series, truly, will be the chemistry between the kids.
Seeing nerds get as hyped as me is so nice. I kinda teared up during this trailer. The music!
Think about it, they don't have to condense *that* much. I mean, this is 8 episodes of an hour (or around that). First season of the animated show was 21 episodes (if I remember correctly) of around 20 minutes.
If we assume these numbers, the runtime of the LA adaptation actually has a longer season 1, but we know that they are going to include some extra content so it probably almost evens out. They are probably also going to combine a couple of story lines (since we see Teo in Omashu).
My point is, that they will be able to give adequate time for each story in S1 at least as much as the animated show.

Take note: the best TV series in world history is coming. We can't thank Netflix enough. It is obvious that they are trying very hard. Selected actors, effects, The decor and the whole design looks very good. Thanks a thousand times. I will subscribe to Netflix for the first time and only for this series. 🙏🙏✨❤️

If they keep the badger moles and move them to book 2 Earth, i'd be ok with that. If they also decide to move the Earth prisoners to book 2 that would be ok too.
But if they dont include these two events, i'd be ok with it to.

Actually 8 1 hour episodes, and probably 3 seasons. Maybe future seasons will have 10 since a lot more stuff to pack in and they can obviously add more stuff.
It's 8. Imdb has had it wrong for ages. The episode titles were released almost a year ago, it's 8. STILL tons of time to tell the story though.
