Everyone should just go look up John Holiday and listen to just about everything, especially his opera and jazz. Also, anything Handel and any of his work with Academy of Ancient Music. You won't be disappointed. The guy's voice is sublime.
One time for an audition for a musical, my voice professor (who was musical director for this particular show) had all the men who were auditioning do some scales and kept going higher until she could tell they’d reached their limit. She had me go last, and I was up there for what felt like 5 minutes as I see all the other guys’s drop and my voice coach says “well you get the idea and my hands are tired” and everyone clapped. Probably my proudest moment as a musician.

@@Williamfp Most singers don’t fit neatly into the “typical” range you found on google. If you sang, you’d know that. I sound better at D2 than at A5, so I’m a baritone. I mean, it was just my part back in choir.
