Yeah, great series! I'm thrilled to see new episodes of Production Masterclasses in other genres as well.

i love how this video made by sound on sound has clicks in the background noise.

@thunorrr overheads are just the mic's they place over the drums to catch cymbals. I used to just high pass em to death but found micing close mics, a room and overheads brings out much more tone out of drums than using OH just for cymbals. Also, you can isolate the snare in the overheads with compression and boost the output gain to raise the cymbals over the snare to get a better mix with em

The sound quality is bad, poping everywhere. SOS is about sound. Get it right please.

Is that the SLAVERY - GETS SHIT DONE T-shirt from T-shirt hell? That is just so amazing. I turned to this video for production tips, but found a beautiful human being.

I wish it was a more informative interview. That's every engineer in the world for ya. "It depends......it depends.....it depends....." I was waiting for "Hey Andy, how do you record vocals? Do you use mics?" and hear "Well....it depends....yeah.....depends...."

this is not really a master class they should of called it a very vague class with no specific advice toward much at all i don't doubt anyone's abilities but if your looking to start producing your answers are not here

Andy is the man. Going back to his days with Sabbat; a fine player and now a great producer. PLEASE ...loose the awful flutter/B&W effect during the cutawas to the second camera. Annoying.
