The Trace function detailed in the video converts pixel data from within the PNG into vector paths. Check the Workspace view options so you can see it.. Choose Silhouette, to turn any pixel black, and non pixel areas ignored. Expand the vector path after tracing , to be able to swith the black fill to NONE and the outline from NONE to a visible path.
Illustrator, does not allow all these steps to be handled in an "Action" , however if you are versed in illustrator, you can create a SCRIPT file to do it. I am sorry, but that is not something I can explain well :-).. I have seen videos detailing how to create scripts in Illustrator for functions that don't work well with actions.
The QR codes are used by Intec cutters to automatically find the cutting path, and cut your files without you needing to tell the cutter which job it is. i.e. You can leave the room, make coffee and when you come back the Intec Cutter will have cut the file for you. Ideal for CARD projects OR labels.
I've only seen tutorials to make an offset path for existing vector elements, not PNG's/JPEG's - thank you SO much for sharing!!
This is awesome! But my Ai doesn't have the option to do "PNG to Vector Fill", any suggestions?
