  • In this video, we review micro inverters by Enphase that form part of our innovative solar system, designed specifically for the UK 🌞
    The micro inverter design means that each panel is able to work at its full capacity and maximise the performance of each solar panel independently.

    I have old, (2013) Enphase Microinverters here in australia on 8 old but expensive 300w panels. I have a Solis string inverter (2019) on very cheap 300w panels. I have a brand new Sungrow string inverter (2024) on good quality 440w panels. Out of the three systems, suprisingly, the ancient Enphase inveters are the most efficient for their wattage. It's not a gimmick, they actually are by far the best. Out of the two string systems, the cheap one is every bit as efficient as the medium quality. SO my advise is this, buy Enphase if you can afford, but if you can't afford, don't hesitate to get even the cheapest alternatives because they still work well imo. Enphase micro's are the most impressive though, and the installation is by far the neatest and simplest.

    Team you need to stock iq8 models , for soft offline mode, and also battery backup mode for full off line support

    Enphase rocks 😊

    If you have AC essentially coming off the roof with the IQ7+ does then that have to go through a conversion back to DC if you have a home battery to fill up from the Solar Array as well as using an off peak tariff to fill them ?.

      Hey Andy, yes that’s right it converts to AC and back to DC when going back to the grid and battery storage.

      thanks for the reply, does that mean you need a second inverter down at battery configuration to take it back to DC or is the battery interface and management software designed to handle that@@Heatable

      @@andyballard1883 Hey Andy, yes that's right - the battery either has a built in inverter or the Givenergy battery, for example, has a separate gateway that converts it back to DC. More than happy to help with any other questions!

    Are Enphase microinverters stand alone or do they need a controller to function or be set up and commissioned?

      Hey Tony, the micro-inverters are connected with a metered Envoy that allows you to read your import and export data.

    I know it is not ideal but Can you use a 195watt solar panel with IQ7

    • @Heatable
      @Heatable  4 місяці тому +1

      You could but it would be limiting to performance. Generally, you'd oversize the panel by 30-40% to the gross output of the inverter.

      Thank you for your repsonse, can I combine two 195 watt panels in series and use one micro inverter for every two panel. @@Heatable

      @Heatable  4 місяці тому +1

      Due to the voltage of individual panels you wouldn't be able to feed two into one inverter. @@user-vm7bs3wv5g
