what really puzzles me, is that almost all the singers from Taiwan, especially the female singers, always sing in such weak, infantile kind of voice..the volume range is about from soft to soft...and the expression is from none to none, why is that?
Not EVERY actually. But yeah especially lead singers in indie bands here have such vocals usually. Personally I love these kind of voice ,maybe you can check out this band:Tizzy Bac ,the singer's voice is very different from this:)
AllGOOD S because in Taiwanese society the infantilization of women is celebrated, which results in this kind of weak-ass, fragile, helpless and feeble music. That's just how they like their women, incompetent and vulnerable.

I guess these kids are supposed to be from the high school I went to....I was in the first class of the music program...one of the teachers(mrs. Cheng) looked through whole bunch of Japanese fashion magazines and came up with the girls' summer uniform. I must say, the rather demure styles of the shirt and skirt just don't go with the school bag...
